Service was great (Charlie was helping us out, super nice, good timing) and getting an outdoor reservation on OpenTable was easy. Overall the meal and drinks were painfully average. Outdoor seats are cheap folding chairs, which when you're dropping over $100 on dinner makes them a little more uncomfortable. We had a couple cocktails (strawberry fields and berry bramble I think?), strawberry fields you'd expect a summery balance of sweet and sour... it was unpleasantly tart, and despite the strawberry garnish, citrus was the main flavor. We started with the poutine. Flavors were okay, but the cheese was sparce, and melted completely, not adding anything but difficulty in getting bites off the plate. NEAT burger was cooked medium-rare, egg perfectly sunny side up. Meat lacked flavor though, and no salt or pepper on table. Short rib grilled cheese was piled high with bland meat, not having enough cheese to get any of the flavor. Onion jam was the only flavor to come through. Nothing was inherently bad, but for the price, I probably wouldn't choose to go back.

Food was so delicious! Had the ahi tuna sandwich with truffle fries 😋🍟 and my husband had the shaved short ribs grill cheese and it was equal deliy. The tuna was cooked to perfection. To add the young lady that was serving us was amazing.

We are new to the area and were seeking out a place where we felt welcome, had awesome food, wonderful drinks and great service. All of this and more is found at Neat! Matt and Sara took care of us BOTH times (so far) that we have visited. They are warm and welcoming. The food is creative and delicious and the cocktails are amazing. GO!! These folks are the real deal!

I read some poor reviews about the burgers. I had to jump in and write my own review. The burgers are awesome. The meat is lean so you need to order your burger medium rare. If you do, you will love the burger. Do not ask them to cook it well done. I’ve been to Neat several times and I will keep coming back. Great food, great beer! Cheers!

Wow such a beautiful and nice place overall really impressed. Came here for a school field trip through a French club and overall really satisfied with the service and food. This place was well decorated with candles and the lighting everything here was be eh aesthetic. Along with their kind workers which are helpful and accommodating. The French onion soup was overall really good and had a nice cheesy top it. Definitely warm and more towards the oily side but it reminded me of an onion pizza but in soup form. The mixed greens with Dijon vinaigrette was pretty standard i would’ve added a bit more dressing but still very nice. The stuffed chicken breast was sooo tasty with it cheesy layer surrounded by this crunch fried crust. It is a smaller portion but it really was gooey and delicous. The braised beef stew in red wine was next I asked for mine to be made without the red wine though. Overall so incredibly yummy with it texture and flavor. I loved how they topped it off with mushrooms and the flavor here was so impressively good. The meat was nice and tender. Probably my favorite Next the Brussels sprouts which weren’t bad but i never completely loved them but the restaurant defineltu put in effort to make them taste good and I was happy but I wouldn’t pick it. The truffle fries were amazing since they were light but had good flavor and was topped of with a little cheese. Then the final dish which was dessert the crème brûlée which was so nice and light and airy. It was a little bit thinner but it was torched on top and it had strawberries and powdered sugar. I did really like it but wish it had a thicker layer but still very nice. The iced teas here were great too. Overall all the foods had amazing presentation. I do recommend this place such a positive experience.

First time here. Totally enjoyed ourselves. Cool decor and nice bar area. Service was was spot on. Cool drinks and a good assortment of whiskeys. Food - really good. Hot, delicious. The Shroom burger was a perfect medium rare. The Rigatoni dish was plentiful and tastes good. I will go back. Want to try the short ribs. Going to Westmont, Neat is a place to stop at.

I go here very often, mostly to get wasted. They usually have good beers on tap, the food is good too. I wouldn’t say everything is amazing, I would highly recommend the mussels and the hot Buffalo wings as starters. I would steer away from the burger only because it lacks any flavor. And the coleslaw is god awful. Other then that I love the vibe here and other entrees!

We recently chose Neat Kitchen + Bar for our rehearsal dinner and would like to thank Matt Verde and his entire staff for hosting a thoroughly memorable and enjoyable evening. Matt offered excellent suggestions throughout the planning process, accommodated numerous special requests without batting an eye, and generously exceeded our expectations at every turn. Our guests raved about the friendly service and amazing food and cocktails. We were able to just relax and enjoy. Professional, personable and exceptional value at a very reasonable price; HIGHLY recommend for any special event.

First time here for date night dinner. Interesting menu. I had short rib grilled cheese which was delicious. It resembled a pot roast sandwich. The marinated onions added a sweetness to the sandwich. I also had French onion soup which was really good. My gf had the crispy chicken bao buns and onion rings that were sliced really big. It was all hot and good but the bao buns could've used more meat. Danielle was our waitress and she was great. We'll be back soon.

Enjoyed a happy hour beer and an interesting but rather weak apricot sour. Small but well curated draft list. Very nice servers. The short rib was delectable and worth the $26. Super tender and juicy, with a mushroom sauce that enhanced the dish. They kindly accommodated my substitution of the potatoes for brussels sprouts, which perfected the meal for me. The sprouts were little greasy but had a good flavor. We even got the pork belly bao buns to share, which were wolfed down instantly. Those slices of pork would've ideally been thicker, but tasted great with the sauce and pillow soft buns.

I would highly recommend this place for dinner. I had a sandwich on a gluten-free bun, which can be very dry. This sandwich was delicious. My husband had the veggie burger and was very impressed with the taste. It was a busy night when we were there, but we had no complaints.

I went here for the first time for a work party and had a wonderful experience! The food was amazing- I cannot wait to comeback to try other items. The service felt top notch.

By far one of our favorite restaurants in the area. The food and service are both amazing. Personal favorites: the Pork Belly Bao Bun app, Waygu Burger, Short Rib entree and the Panko Chicken entree. Prices within reason. Incredible assortment of whiskey's and bourbons and probably THE best Manhattan cocktail I've ever had.

Met a friend for dinner and drinks. Service and food was fantastic. Had a flight of whiskey, tried the wings and short rib grilled cheese. The grilled cheese and wings were so good I recommended it to the family for takeout a few nights later.

Overall a nice establishment to meet with friends. Tried a variety of their menu...all tasty except for their burger. The burger was a good size but too lean and therefore lacked flavor. Tasted mainly the bun, tomato, lettuce and onion. And that burger was the reason for the 4 star review. Definetly would go again for other food choices!

We were at a Wedding reception at this restaurant. Everything was great. I liked the lightly breaded chicken on top of mashed potatoes. The shrimp tacos were excellent and I loved the different coleslaws.

What a fabulous place! I randomly saw it on open table last weekend so decided to take my mom and 4 year old daughter to try it out. I was SO impressed. Atmosphere is great, bar was hoppin - yet I felt it was totally a family friendly place. I had the short rib, my mom had the tacos pastor. Both we fabulous and we also had a great bottle of wine. Kids menu was great and they had some coloring stuff to keep her busy which is always nice. Coincidentally my husband had a work happy hour here 4 days later that I was invited to last minute. We had the area on the north side of the restaurant in front of the bar. I was BEYOND impressed with the food and the service. It was such an enjoyable experience. I don't really have any need for private event space - but if I did I would totally host a party here. A+ all around!

Yesterday was my first time there and I was impressed. Our server was very helpful and made a lot of good recommendations. I got the pear and arugula salad and the American Wagyu burger. Both were delicious.

Great food! We went with a group of 6 and everyone loved their dishes. We started with the loaded poutine appetizer and I highly recommend it! It was pretty small for the price, that's my only complaint. They have a great selection of bourbon, which the guys loved. Finish with an espresso martini, the best!!

We rented the entire restaurant for a wedding celebration for my daughter after her small wedding in DC. Unbelievable food and service. Everyone raved about it and I kid you not, by the end of the night, the servers knew everyone's name and what they were drinking. Matt and his team were top notch. We had passed appetizers and five food stations...YUM! And my event planner, Effortless Events, worked with Matt to set up a s'mores dessert buffet and fresh baked chocolate chip cookies served ala mode. The space is very versatile as well. If you want great food, superb service and a wide array of craft cocktails and beers, this is your place...thanks Matt!

Stopped by for a late lunch, the person who attended us was very friendly and attentive. I was undecided about what to drink. He recommended the Manhattan, and it was the bomb! I will go back for the drinks, also the food was great.

Always a good time at our annual holiday party! This year we hosted at Neat Kitchen + Bar. The staff was amazing! And the food was even better. We had about 15 people and everything went so smoothly. Matt arranged everything perfectly so we did not have to worry about a thing. The space was beautiful as well. Definitely recommend!

Pricey, but I enjoyed the food! We came just because Poutine cravings came hard, service was wonderful! Our waitress was lovely, and the food was good! My favorite has got to be the Mexican styled nachos, it’s such an odd concept but the crazy amount of diverse flavors that jive wonderfully together in that dish honestly made my visit entirely.

The food was excellent. The drinks were adventurous and tasty.. We felt lucky getting a last minute (445 pm) reservation for Mothers Day. The service was the best I have had in a long time. We sat in the bar area, I wish I could remember my waitress' name but she was timely taking our order and knows the menu well and attentive to our needs. The rest of the staff was right there cleaning off dishes and keeping our table uncluttered. Not one of the staff hovered, if you know what i mean. Their timing was impeccable. Thank you to all of the staff for making the day special. We will be back.

Excellent location. The starters with Bao Pork Belly are superb. I ate the potato and cheddar soup, which had a wonderful flavor but was a touch clumpy from the flour and a little chilly. Excellent tastes were present in the French onion. One of the nicest things I've ever eaten was the Prime Rib Philadelphia. Delicious and juicy. I also tried the Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich, which disappointed me because it had burnt lines on both sides, indicating that it had been cooked earlier in the day and only recently reheated on a skillet. I didn't understand why the chicken sandwich was not fried when I ordered because the fries were so good and so freshly fried. The rating is still 5 stars.

I was here last night for a challenging night of trivia. All the employees, no matter what their position were very welcoming, and made me feel very comfortable. Even the owner came around, chatting up every customer. Hr is a personable and nice man! They have an outstanding menu, not your typical bar food. Although, they do offer your favorites, like burgers. It was a fun and exciting night, trying to match wits with over 20 teams. But, there was one employee that stood out the most to me, it was the bartender, Alex. He never stopped moving, he was making drinks for not only the people sitting at the bar, but for the entire restaurant. He was attentive, accommodating, and friendly! He is the true gem, there! I can’t wait to go back again, for another fun and exciting night of trivia and great food! I know they have other activities going on during the week, so you should check it out. Or, if you’re just looking for a really great meal, you’ll find that there, too.

Luckily, Neat Kitchen was open for Mother’s Day (normally closed on Sundays) and we couldn’t have found a better place to celebrate. First time visitors and will most definitely return! We ordered the mussels, which were fabulous and very different to the most popular Italian wine sauces, as they were in a chorizo cream-based sauce. Ordered the taco trio which was a real treat, as one is allowed to mix and match tacos, unlike most places. The ahi tuna salad was light and delicious, then made up on the calories with their gigantic, but scrumptious carrot cake! To top it all, our server was beyond attentive and professional….THANK YOU ALEXANDER!!

Excellent food, excellent drinks, excellent service. They make a fabulous espresso martini. The Ahi tuna sandwich, and shrimp po boy was fabulous. Our server was very quick and polite. She offered to separate our checks for us, even though we didn’t ask her to because she saw us struggling. It was very kind of her. Will definitely be back when in the area.

My wife and I went here tonight to celebrate her new job. We brought our 11 month daughter with us. The waitress was phenomenal. She was very attentive and made our evening out fantastic. It was especially nice that she helped keep everything out of our daughters reach. As for food the poutine appetizer was great. My wife ordered a rigatoni dish that she really liked. I had a prime sandwich that was pretty good. Their sweet potato fries were great as well. Lastly their cocktails and whiskey section was great. My wife and I 100% want to come back and will be recommending to friends and family.

Tried this place once with my friend and I am obsessed ever since. I liked the great character and yummy food and drinks. Kudos.

Great place! Delicious food, awesome selection of whisky, excellent service. We discovered this restaurant by luck. We've gone back few times and told our friends about it and they love it too but.

Cocktails were great along with both the blackened chicken and ribeye steak sandwiches were outstanding. The kitchen put some thought into everything we ordered. The sandwiches were simple but had multiple layers of flavor. And the loaded poutine, as an app, was spot-on. Many times kitchens like to "over do" poutine but this was perfect. I would have loved to see fresh cut fries but... 🤷🏼‍♂️ We will be back!

We have always enjoyed eating here; their burgers are the best around! We ate dinner there last night and were extremely appreciative of their COVID precautions; felt safe for us and their staff. Additionally, my wife and I both tried something new from their menu, which were both delicious! Lastly, they honor the Military with and acknowledgement for our service and a discount. Great food and clean restaurant. The menu here is fairly small, but what they lack in quantity, they make up for in quality. Great drink list and really good food. I had the “neat” burger and thought it was delicious. Food is a little more on the expensive side, especially since it is essentially high-end bar food, but I would recommend it if you are looking for a nicer place that will keep your entire party happy.

The burgers are amazing, we ordered the short rib burger and the garden burger. Both were very flavorful. Portion sizes were modest. Kids menu had great variety, but the side of apple slices was pretty small. The side of French 🍟 on the kids menu was the size of an adults side. The ambiance was casual and trendy. There's a room available for parties which is conveniently placed next to the bar. Service was quick, we requested the kids food to be served immediately. We did not get pressured to order dessert.

I want to thank you all for being there for those of us on the front lines of medicine. I got off shift, hungry, wanting good food. I called, told them I couldn't/ wouldn't have direct contact with people because of my job as an ER doc. You guys are awesome! These are horrible times, especially for our service industry workers! I was there for a funeral luncheon. Everything on the menu was delectable and what I ate was delicious. The staff was prompt and courteous. My late friend's memory was well-served. Thank you!

The chicken sandwich I got was fried and had a good presentation, it was crispy and juicy on the inside but sadly the blandest chicken sandwich I've ever eaten. It had a spicy kick like maybe cayenne but not even a hint of salt or pepper. The breading wasn't seasoned or the chicken itself. Really disappointing.

Great bar, and food!

Love going here! The rigatoni pasta is my favorite dish, very comforting. The cocktails are great as well. My boyfriend and I have even been recognized by one of the staff members (forgot his name) a couple times we have dined in the past and that was a nice touch. We ordered take out here the other night and tastes just as good as being served there.

Great service, good beers and a HUGE Burger. The Meatless burger was fire! Good homemade onion rings as well.
