I wanted to love it... I came to the restaurant thinking I was going to have this amazing Ghanaian stew like I had at my friend's wedding. I stood at the counter for 10 mins waiting for someone to come out to even acknowledge me. Once they came out and I ordered, I had to wait an additional 45 mins just to get my food. No problem I expected a wait because I know fresh food takes time. But when I received my order clearly this belonged to someone else. I was told by the employee that it was mine and not to pay attention to the recipe. I ordered chicken and fish stew with jollof not beef stew and white rice. The young lady was nice enough to get my food order correct but once I got home (15 mins away) you could tell this was not freshly made. The meat was dried out and it looked like stew was just poured on it to hydrate the meat. It looked nothing like the young man's plate who ordered his stew in-house. I was extremely disappointed. As a person who has worked in restaurant industry I wanted to be able to brag about how great the food was in my "Foodie" group and get this place some more exposure but unfortunately the customer service was nonexistent and the quality of the food left me disappointed. I wanted so bad to love it.

For authentic Ghanaian🇬🇭 dishes like Emotuo, Tuo-Zaafi (TZ), Fufuo, Banku, Red-red and many more, RAHAMA AFRICAN RESTAURANT is the place to be - Woodbridge🙌🏾 Pro Tip: First time diners should talk to either Ruky or Hafsa (or both) for recommendations. You can thank me later😎

The food is good. That being said everything else is subpar. The service is terrible. The lady who takes your order is extremely rude. At least twice, they messed up my order. Gave me goat meat when I had ordered turkey tail once, and the other time she added a meal I hadn’t ordered to my order. When I brought it up to her attention, she said I “don’t know how to order”. It doesn’t take a doctorate to order food lady. She ended up refunding that meal but I find it ridiculous that they cannot take orders right and then become insulting when you point out their mistakes.

First Time Trying African Food. As a pescaterian, it has been hard to find good authentic African food without the major meats. The women allowed me to substitute a dish for fish instead! So lucky me, I got to try my first African dish from this establishment, and it did not disappoint!! The food was fresh, and still hot when I got home! Can't forget to mention the food was plentiful and very delicious for a reasonable price! The lady told me they have been open for 13 years and can honestly see why! It's a Hole in a wall type of place, but it's a 10/10 for me!!

First time here.. Nice atmosphere.. nice lady at the counter but the food was poor. You can tell the food isn’t entirely freshly made ether that or overcooked. I ordered a couple of things and let me tell you the white rice taste way better then the jollof rice. The jollof rice taste burnt and I had my mom taste it as well just to make sure it wasn’t just me to keep from wasting my money we just poured some of the juice from the goat and chicken soup to mask the bad burnt taste. The plantains I received was half old plantains and half fresh. You can tell by the look and feel what’s old and what new. I never had FuFu so I wanted to try it and let me tell u it taste like a ball of unseasoned mashed potatoes ..is that how it supposed to taste? I give yall a 2/10 this was a new experience for me. I don’t really do the eating out thing but I did today only because I had to use my credit card before they cancel it due to inactivity damn these credit card companies 😂 thanks for the food and GOD BLESS

I ordered egusi with goat meat and fufu. Egusi taste straight up fish. They added meat on top. Looks like they cooked with fish in it. Which I think not wise because some people can be allergic to seafood. If someone wants with fish it can be added on top like other meats. I have tried good African food. And this was terrible. I haven’t tried their other things. but I don’t know if I ever want go back.

I really tried to like this place. I ordered multiples and still it’s a miss. I’ve ordered the jollof, waakye, rice and stew. I will say that aburi garden has a the better awakye. For the jollof even though it’s lacking, it is the better one. The stew had a sour taste too and the jollof and fried rice was more on the bland side. As a Ghanaian I think this place can be better and more authentic. Shitto was also on the sour side as well.

The food was great. I hardly eat out, however, we really enjoyed the goat soup with fufu. Bought so kebabs, pi, peanut cake, then fried yams another time. It was good. The staff were polite even though it was my first time.

Pretty damn good food, if you know what you'll be ordering, from Fufu, to jollof rice, they have chicken to lamb. Give them a try! You won't regret it either!
