Came here on a few nights out Lots of us came and it’s a decent place Nice drinks. Nice environment and lots of seating. They kept the drinks flowing nice n quick so there wasn’t much waiting around The area down stairs turns into a dance floor too Great location. Right next to the Cathedral Only part that ruined my night was the lady bouncer at the door… was chatting to her and then she asked me why I was asking so many questions and if I can out to fight … sooo rude. I came out like everyone else just to have a good time Been here a few times now just won’t be so chatty with the staff

This is such a lovely place relaxed smells amazing staff friendly prices are great and the food is another level the flavours in my steak sandwich was like going to heaven and back

I visited on the Saturday prior to mother's day as a treat from my husband, with my 2 young children. It wasn't too busy when we arrived. We had booked the afternoon tea, 1 with cocktails and a further 2 normal. We sat down and I ordered my cocktails and waiter brought over 1 hot drink. An hour went by and we still hadn't had any food. My husband asked for a coffee which should be provided with his order and the waiter was a bit awkward although we had already paid for this to be included. After a good while longer, we received our order but the sandwiches and other treats did not match the online menu, and this had not been mentioned when ordering. My children are fussy eaters so we must plan what they will eat when we arrange to eat out. There were no sandwiches they would eat at all. After we mentioned this, we were asked by a waitress 'are you sure you read the menu correctly', which I found particularly rude. We showed her the online menu and she took the sandwiches away to speak with the kitchen. A further 45 minutes went by with no mention of when we might receive this and also no apology for the mistake or long wait time (2.5 hours in total for sandwiches and cake is not really acceptable) so my husband requested a refund of the deposit we had paid and we left and ate somewhere else nearby which was a much more pleasant experience for early mother's Day. Such a shame as I visited this venue for afternoon tea previously when attending a baby shower and it was lovely. I won't be returning in the future, particularly not with children.

Waaay too noisy, and the people in front of the door that lets you in are very rude. It is a nice place with good drinks, their cocktails are tasty.

Went for brunch and the churros with icecream was soo good.

Liv is amazing, she is the best member of staff I have ever come across in the slug and lettuce. Liv should have more recognition for her excellence. The slug and lettuce is lucky to have such a fabulous asset to the team not only does she manage a customers expectations she also goes above and beyond. Excellent service

Tom was an absolutely fantastic server - he was attentive to our table, ensuring we had drinks throughout our entire bottomless brunch session and was a genuinely friendly and lovely guy. The food was excellent, 2 of us had the full breakfast and the other had a bacon cheeseburger - there were no complaints at all, and we were all extremely happy with our food! We will definitely be back for the next birthday celebration!

Ciara was amazing! She made sure we were constantly receiving drinks during our bottomless brunch. She was really friendly and helpful. I’d recommend bottomless brunch here.

We came here for a bottomless brunch, absolutely amazing! We were served by Liv who was amazing and was always checking on us and was making sure we had drinks when we’d finished ours! Tara was the manger on shift and she was amazing, it was busy but we still didn’t wait for anything.

Had a 3 course meal starter and main were delicious and well presented dessert was a disappointment as was tiny and no cutlery. Only down side to the meal was that we felt rushed as they were clearing plates away s people were still eating and they felt that they had to hurry the rest of their food. Cocktail making was definitely a fun activity and we all really enjoyed it

Cocktails were lovely but food was horrible. Ordered scampi and chips with bread and butter which cost me £12 to get a plate of disappointment. They forgot my tartare sauce and when I asked for it I just got sighed at by the bar staff. The mushy peas were actually crispy, servers did not care, never will eat here again.

Not to bad,nice atmosphere but only the problem was the cocktails wasn't full on glass,and they when it's busy didn't put the passion fruit on the cocktail.Its a not unacceptable. But I like the lettuce and slugs.

Ieva, was a wonderful host. We came for the bottomless brunch and they were very busy but I've made sure that the drinks continued to flow throughout the entire 2 hour slot. Even offering us the opportunity to order 2 drinks per order to make up for the slight delay in receiving the first drinks. 100% recommended. The outdoor iglu was a lovely secluded spot too!!

Kira was very helpful considering the amount of people at our table she was serving. The food came out at a reasonable time and was delicious! I’m a very picky vegan and was chartered for without any issues at all ☺️

Isra was so lovely and made sure we were never without a drink or anything we needed. It was my birthday and she made sure I had an amazing time ☺️ would absolutely come again and recommend to others!

Bottomless brunch for our anniversary- was amazing. Isra was a great waitress 10/10 - bought drinks over straight away - lovely to chat too and was fast with drinks. Our favourite waitress xxx 100% recommend anyone to visit!! A perfect bottomless brunch. Our favourite drink was sex on the beach!

Attended for bottomless brunch, Isra and Migle were fabulous, attended to our needs and made sure everything was up to scratch!

Liv and Isra were incredible throughout the night. Liv was attentive, came with great chat and service. I have been to numerous slug and lettuce across the country and this was by far the best experience for me. Made my night and I will be coming back again in future just for Liv xxx

Orders via smartphone direct to your table. Friendly service and the only minor mistake in the food order was spotted and dealt with before I could mention it. Outside seating has some cover in case of rain.

Cozy pub with an interesting history. Housed in an old court house, the judges chair remains and the dock. Even the jail doors have been kept.

Food was lovely. The only problem was ladies toilet, only two was available when this place was full. I don't blame staff, they were very busy. All staff was very friendly and helpful. They are really hardworking people.

We went there for afternoon tea, it was alright, but nothing special. Also they did not have scones, but a similar looking item which was rather disappointing.

Stopped off for cocktails, 2 for 1 offer made it reasonable value at about £6 per cocktail. Nice evening so we sat outside. Busy but service was good.

Lots of space to sit, but many tables have odd numbers of chairs. Had to move 2 tables together for a group of 4. The app to order from only works with apple phones, which I find odd. Otherwise you can go to the bar to order. Food and drinks were good. Didn't have to wait long. Overall good experience. They just need to sort out their app.

Went for a tipsy afternoon tea, which was a gift. As my wife said "this was the best afternoon tea". I agree, well presented, great variety, we also had cocktails which were great fun Highly recommended either as a treat for yourself or a fun gift for someone you love

Nice staff. Not visited for a couple of years and I felt it had gone down. Furnishings were dirty in part of the pub. My dish came out looking tasty, but as I was eating it part of it was cold in the middle.Wont be returning my friend won't be either.

The building is the old courthouse and the still has the dock, judges chair and staircase down to the cells on display. This creates quite an impressive atmosphere for food and drinks. The food and drink in question is nicely presented and tasty, however, service can be a bit slow.

I came here with a few new mums who just needed a few hours away from their little ones to be themselves and it was the perfect place. Cocktails were so delicious (and we all had quite a few) the mocktails were also amazing just as yummy as the cocktails both in taste and presentation so I didn't feel like I was missing out when I went o to them. Will definitely be going again.

We had a lovely afternoon tea with friends, classic afternoon tea booked online. Super cheap £15 and amazing food very filling. Fantastic choice of sandwiches. Only reason to give a 4 and not 5 stars is because it was FREEZING!!!! No heating and constant cold breeze that kept cooling our tea. Thank for serving us iva x

We had a great time during our bottomless brunch - Great choice of drinks and food. Ciara who took care of us during our visit and was really attentive and kept the drinks coming and sorted out the food and condiments. The bottomless brunch is such good value and well worth the money - it is one of the best brunches about which is why we have come back!

I came the day after my birthday, Nando and Jaime were amazing and surprised me with a drink. Very much recommend coming here with friends!

Having never visited the S+L before I visited with a friend for bottomless brunch and was blown away. Our server Declan was so brilliant; a great balance and friendly, attentive and fun, he made our visit really special. Would 100% recommend to anyone looking for an amazing bottomless brunch experience!
