I was in Holyhead Pub Coventry for a friend's birthday party on 13 February 2022. The interior design of the business was wonderful in all its details. Having live music made our party enjoyable. Service was very fast and the food was great. Also, the staff were friendly and helpful. It had a large car park and we had no trouble parking our vehicles. However, after parking our vehicles, do not forget to register your vehicle by typing the plate of your vehicle on the screens within the enterprise. It is a very pleasant place to visit both on special occasions and when you want to have a pleasant time.

The Holyhead has started to become my regular weekend stop off for food and a drink. Value for money good meals, and the dog is welcome too. However after a nice meal I ordered the Exton mess sundae which When it came was just a glass of cream and fruit. when I asked where the ice cream was and isn’t it squirted cream for a Sunday I was answered we don’t use squirted cream we use whipped cream,(well no one has bothered to whip) and I certainly know after 50 yrs what Ice cream is and there was certainly no ice cream in it. Not an apology,do you want to change it, or anything. So just to let you know if you want to buy the Sunday this is what you will be getting!

Excellent staff ,food was very poor .Order 3 steaks all very tough, one sent back too rare ,supposed to be medium/ well done. Still under cooked. Chips been cooked and cooked again. The staff were lovely and gave us a complimentary drink. Very disappointed with food

Was disappointed with the food today, have been many times before and had really good food. Yesterday two of my party had a roasted veg salad with tabbouleh and roasted courgettes and peppers, no tabbouleh and veg were definitely not roasted - soggy infact. I had the chicken bacon and avocado salary - very fatty bits of bacon and huge chunks of tomatoes and cucumber - before when I have this it has been so much better presented.

Recent refurbishment is very nice, opened up the pub inside with new furnishings and furniture too. There was a decent mainstream selection of lagers/ales on offer, drinks menus to help choose and friendly staff on hand for advice. Enjoyed our stay, didn't have food on this occasion so will review that another time.

Usually busy, service is pretty good and drinks are reasonably priced. Never eaten here so can't comment on the food. It a place I like to call in in the late afternoon or early evening to meet and chat with friends. Can get totally packed out on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Ventured there from across town, warm and welcoming atmosphere, the food menu had a good selection and reasonably priced, was annoyed at the barmaid who blatantly ignored us in favour for someone who was clearly a pub regular and thought their custom was more important. Having said that the food was hot and tasty, the server was very pleasant.

Great food and service. There is a great outdoor area (bit noisy from the road but not as bad as you'd imagine). The grilled halloumi is delicious.

Great service, food was tasty and presents well, but could have been warmer. My mushy peas were cold.we couldn't get pudding as the kitchen was closed ,you are missing out on a up selling opportunity. If the staff had asked us just before the kitchen closed if we want dessert we would if definitely ordered pudding.

The Holyhead is great. They are part of the Ember chain. This pub has a good choice of wines, beers and spirits and the food menu has a lot of options too. As vegan food is becoming more mainstream these days, The Holyhead (Ember) are aware of this and have a separate menu that is vegan. The Holyhead is quite a large pub, but inside it is laid out with some areas that are small and cosy, there is also an open fire, which adds character to the layout. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

Sunday lunchtime. Food was reasonable and not bad for the money. Only 1 person waiting and 1 on the bar so they were busy, and did well considering. We didn't have to wait very long for drinks or food, so we'll dine them. Overall better than many Ember inns.

Reasonably priced pub with decent everyday pub food. Staff are good and they have been innovating their Friday/Saturday nights with events and live music on the occasion. Recommend if you're based in the area. 2 pints and a main came to just over £20. Car park has plenty of space and you can validate your parking ticket inside the pub.

After eating here today I just want to say what a lovely service we received from the 3 girls behind the bar…. All young yet so professional and confident in their roles… happy smiling faces greeting all customers and even between customers they were busying themselves so that the bar and restaurant area was of a high standard constantly … These 3 girls are a credit to the Holyhead and I’m sure appreciate by all customers who receive their smiling faces and happy attitude… WELL DONE GIRLS ❤️

Disappointing steak within mixed grill. You don't expect the best steak but at least one that you can cut. Whole piece left. Waitress apologised, but that was all. Pity as rest of meal was fine.

Bar Service was fine for drinks, served promptly and quickly. Regarding the food order, our order was taken in a timely manor so no qualms there; however the amount of time it took for our food to come out was appalling, we waiting for upwards of an hour for 6 meals, and when they came out the portion sizes left much to be desired, the steaks (ordered medium rare) were well done (was like chewing on a Wellington Boot), severe lack of potatoes/chips on all plates and the food wasn’t exactly hot out the kitchen either. Considering the establishment was nigh empty I wouldn’t have expected it to take anywhere near this long for our food to arrive.

Stopped in for lunch, and I ordered lasagne with side salad and a side of fries plus garlic bread , the meal came lovely and hot very tasty, cleared my plate. The service was excellent no complaints at all,, pleasant friendly staff a great team in place, working in a beautifully decorated pub / restaurant. I've ordered many different dishes off the extensive menu, and I have no complaints at all. Lovely afternoon out, well done to everyone who works there.

Popped in for the 1st time in a while and it’s had a REFURBISHMENT and what a lovely job they have done. The place is brighter and if I am not mistaken they have removed some internal walls to create more of an open plan feel. The outside area has some lovely huts with heating and ample tables. We ate and the Cob Salad is beautiful we topped ours with a Vegan Greek Cheese which was beautifully smooth. We finished our dinner with a waffles to share tasty and value for money 😀

Booked a table for a quick meal. Wife's Hunters chicken was perfect. I asked for no sauce on my chicken burger and it came with sauce. Asked for a replacement and it came out frozen. Staff were apologetic and refunded me for the burger but as we had to leave I left hungry. No Impressed.

Absolutely fantastic bottomless Friday night! Food was second to none as were the drinks. Melissa who served us was absolutely brilliant and made the evening really enjoyable. Highly recommend the Holyhead!

Alright. Pub. Quiet Sunday night I was in. But sound, nice beer, friendly staff. Two thumbs up. (Needed a pool table for that extra star from me....personal choice. It's more food oriented I felt).

Ordered the festive gourmet burger along with few other items through Uber Eats on 27/12/2021. The burger was delivered, but no pig in blanket or fries as per menu. Feeling cheated. Never gonna reorder again.

Went to the Holyhead for drinks and a bite to eat with my partner and was welcomed by the host Ryan who was welcoming and really attentive!. The food was amazing we had sea bass which was cooked perfectly! The two ladies Sarah and Sophie were very helpful with our drinks and food and nothing was too much to ask. We had not been out since the lockdown and was so happy to see the pub making every guest feel comfortable with the measures in place. Will definitely be back again soon a wonderful Sunday evening! 5 stars! Thank you

I visited the Holyhead yesterday and I loved every second of it. Going back up to the bar was weird but great, I was greeted lovely by the staff and the waitress on the floor (Perry) had a smile on her face throughout the whole time I was there, she was very polite and helpful. There wasn't many staff on, lucky it weren't busy. The food was lovely and the service was fast! I'll definitely be visiting again!

We were in on Saturday night. Had already booked a table. Was really busy and ordering food at the bar was difficult so we ordered through the app. We ordered calamari, chips, nachos and chicken bite starters. When the food arrived we was disappointed as the calamari was hard and rubbery, the chips were soggy and oily, the nachos were very oily and burnt couldn’t eat any of it!! The chicken was the only decent starter!!! Did not order any mains very disgusted with the food.

We had a lunch time main meal. Found the new boy behind the bar very rude. He seemed to think a lot of himself! We enjoyed the meals but my mixed grill was blackened over done although I asked for medium. Very friendly elderly waitress exchanged it with no issues . The next steak was better cooked but wasn't very tender sadly. Would go again but wouldn't recommend the steak
