Was a little disappointed with this place, it looked like a nice place to go after karting which is not to far away, so we tried it..it's a nice looking building and the decor is a little like an American restaurant with a few reminiscent objects scattered around to remind me of home but in comparison to American restaurants it fell a bit short. It was busy and had to wait for a table so we went to the bar for a drink....the service was a bit slow but when we sat down it was a longer waiting time than what we was told.... eventually we was seated and had a look at the menu, it's was over 30 mins before any one acknowledged us, before we could even get another drink. Then we ordered from a large paper menu which was there own take on American food rather what you would get in America....so authenticity was lacking. Who puts a hash brown on a burger and doesn't serve ribs and steak as.a dish. They didn't even have biscuits and gravy on the menu, as well as popular American dishes. I ordered the barbecue blowout and 50 mins later the food arrived....yes 50 mins....nearly everything was over cooked, dry and burnt. Although the staff, was pleasant they was all young and didn't really know what they was doing...I could go on but to be honest I don't want to waste any more time on this review....so overall I was extremely disappointed in this place and would not recommend it as an American bbq restaurant to anyone who wants to have a taste of American food.

Really enjoyed our evening at Hickorys. I booked 2 tables online and on arrival asked if we could be located close together. The staff asked if we would be happy to wait slightly longer to be all together and sorted us out a big table for all 9 or us. This excellent service continued throughout the night, all the staff were friendly, helpful and good fun. The food was also very, very good!

Really good experience. Fun and different. Great themed restaurant with interesting decor and lots of different areas to dine. Delightful staff and service, food really good too. Typical BBQ smokehouse cuisine with lots to choose from the menu. We just had the main. The complimentary popcorn was a fun nice touch. Would highly recommend if BBQ is your stuff.

A truly 5 star restaurant. The food is great quality, (I would recommend ghe platter with sides if you are a big eater). We went for one of our friends birthday. On the table was free nibbles and a 'Happy Birthday' message, after the meal and dessert our server (along with 2 others) came a brought a cake on a board with a happy birthday message and sang to him. A nice touch 👌.

Understandably a smokehouse isn’t the first choice destination for a vegetarian, but there were a few options like mushroom fajitas and salads. I had the cob salad, which looks plain from the picture but was really tasty. Staff were nice

Excellent American style food. Highly recommend. I ordered Texas platter and it was full meat feast. The beef was so tender and juicy. I love cheese sausage dipped in sauce.

Went there yesterday (Friday) at 7:30 without booking but managed to get a place at bar for 2 people. Definitely need to prebook if you go. It was a good atmosphere but quite loud. I ordered the veggie burger but they brought out a burger which 100% was the wrong one and had beef. I have previously ordered this veggie burger and I know it does not come with 3 buns and I could taste the beef as soon as I took a bite. I got my friend to try it and she said it was beef too. Called staff over and explained it wasn’t the veggie burger and asked if there was a mistake. They ended up getting manager who said it was the right burger and it was infact veggie. My friend told them to try it themselves and she took the burger to the chefs to try and came back and said it was the veggie one but would make a new burger for us. This was absolutely a cover up to the fact they just gave me a meat burger when I’m vegetarian. I refused to eat anymore and asked for a new one. When the second one came through they set up the burger as the first but with the veggie patty (soy based - hence distinctive flavour). This patty was like the burger I had had prior and just confirmed that they gave me a beef one to begin with. They came back over to ask how it was and I said how it tasted nothing like the first and that I can tell this one is soy, I mentioned how I know what beef tastes like (I used to eat meet 2/3 years ago). They ended up taking this off the tab at the end but definitely with hesitation to do so. I’m really upset with this. I feel like I’ve been mistreated here as they gave me beef and then tried to make me out to be the wrong one and gaslight me into thinking it’s veggie. I eat soy based products regularly, I know what they taste like. I can tell if it’s meat or not. I’ve been here several times and never had an issue so why would I make one now over a simple burger. I did not like my treatment and think it’s disgusting that they would act this way over such an issue of their own mishap. You can see the difference in the burgers from the photos. The one with the macaroni and cheese is from this evening (it has multiple layers of cheese and 3 buns in total), the other only has the 2 buns and only 1 slice of cheese. They are different burgers. They gave me a beef one. On accident or not, they tried to make it out like I was wrong. I know what I’m eating, especially when I have had it multiple times before. If you are veggie, check the burger first just in case.

Very professional staff, the American decor gives you an authentic feel of the southern states of Texas and Memphis. I've been to different Hickorys but 1st time here and it was a lovely experience, brought a friend for his 50th booked in advance and to say he was impressed would be an understatement. The meat was excellent, when asked for sauces we had BBQ but please dont put any sauce on, the smokiness of the meat and the taste of the marinades is mores than enough to make it a juicy taste. We had the sharing platter to showcase the different wings, ribs and brisket and it didnt fail us. We also has the driftwood IPA a nice light fruity beer. Theres plenty of tables and booths, inside and out and in the vast beer garden when the weathers nice. Theres even a small cinema to watch an event on. Everywhere is clean and well looked after, the cooking is all done in plain sight. Thank-you everyone.

Recently came here for dinner with friends. The food was amazing, highly recommend going for the sharing platter as it's well worth it! Great service from our waiter too. Only downside was that the toilets weren't in a great condition.. regular cleaning for a busy restaurant is a must!

Where to start? I was long due a visit to this restaurant, heard so many good things throughout the years that I had to tried it, specially being a big fan of all kind of meats. I must say, coming in it does feel like you're getting into an American restaurant, the decorations, the music, the all vibe is very welcoming and pleasant. All staff was really kind, specially the waiter that looked after our table. Our table was ready with the menus which I found them quite charming, kinda looked like a newspaper but with, the menu. We ordered the platter which has a bit of everything, kids had a buguer and hotdog which were ok for a kids meal. The main character, full platter, I don't know if it was because I built to much expectations, but it did lacked a bit, portion wise was ok, but was expecting like an American sized platter if you know what I mean. The meats were good, but maybe because of the time I booked (2pm) and the meats, being smoked for so many hours, might have started to dry out a bit maybe...? Was expecting the meats to be juicy and tender like something I never tried before, however the food was a tad too dry. The whole experience was good, but lacked a bit mainly in the tenderness of the meats, and the quantity, still I recommend a visit, you might have better luck. I will visit again, different time thou, earlier definitely.

Fun place to go as a group. The food is great, and the portions are very descent. We shared some starters with 2 others, and it was a great way to try lots of different dishes. The service was great , all the staff very polite and smiley.

Always a 10/10 experience when going to hickory’s. Amazing atmosphere, food and staff! When we go, we’re usually a large table of 6 but service is always top, even when we visited on busy occasions like Christmas Eve. We fully recommend the sharing platter! 🥵 but the corn dogs are a MUST. Really recommend looking at their events available, we went to their recent firework display and dined in after, great display. Looking forward to hopefully going to one of the dog events next year!

As a south westerner I've been missing out on Hickory's and had never even heard of them until a friend suggested we go while I was up in Coventry for a work visit. We arrived and were greeted by a very friendly waiter, no tables were ready at our arrival time (we did not book in advance as it was a spur of the moment visit) so we were shown to the bar and ordered some drinks. After only about 10 minutes we were shown to our table and after being indecisive on the menu we decided to split a Smokehouse Platter between us. I expected it to be big based on the price but nothing could prepare me for the table sized Platter that would arrive at the table. Every single item was delicious, but I particularly loved the beans with pulled pork, the glazed chicken wings and the brisket which was so tender and full of flavor. The BBQ sauce and bourbon gravy were amazing and I regret not asking if I could take some of the latter with me as it was so good. After we had eaten our fill, our waiter provided two boxes for us to pack up the leftovers to take back with us. The overall bill was pricey but certainly well worth it. I will definitely be looking forward to going again next time I'm in the area.

Wish I'd taken more photos but I was too busy enjoying the food. Had a Canadian visiting who asked for steak and then matched me with the brisket! Chips crisp, coleslaw was crunchy, bourbon sauce was a winner. Very impressed with the service and the Southern Style welcome. Second course I remembered the raspberry lemonade it's so good would come back just to drink this!

Second visit at Hickory's and I'm again in love, they give same personal service and excellent food as the one I went in an other town. Customer service was very to detail and the food portion and quality was perfect. I look forward to visit more of this beautiful brand in othe County's.

Really nice food, presented beautifully. Visited on a quiet Friday afternoon for early dinner and had a pleasant time. Staff were welcoming and courteous. Food was hot and delicious. It's quite a slow paced restaurant in the afternoon which was nice and made for a relaxed atmosphere. Lots of parking available and free. Food slightly on the pricer end of pub food but great as a treat.

A very busy Friday night at Burton Green hickory smokehouse...but the staff there handled wverything very well indeed, from the lads behind the bar serving great attitudes and drinks, to the waiting on staff being friendly and showing nothing was too much trouble, then the food arrived and it was clear the chefs deliver everything that goes out the kitchen perfectly every time. An extremely enjoyable meal out in a welcoming and friendly venue, we will be back but this time bringing family along with us. Well done Burton Green!!

👍👍 One of the best Sunday roasts I have had in a long time. I ordered the pork, mostly for the crackling (which didn't disappoint). The portion sizes were very substantial and it came with a great variety of vegetables. You order via an app and the food came very quickly. It is a bit of an odd set-up a...
