Probably the best pub in Coventry for real ale. Friendly, back street ale House with a constantly changing array of well chosen real ales plus a couple of regular ales on tap. If you want somewhere plush and pretentious this isn't the place for you but if you don't mind a little bit shabby with great beer there's nowhere better in Coventry.

Brilliant pub with a great selection of real cider. Good prices too. Only negative is that it's a victim of its own success. It was small and packed when I went but service was great.

The best pub by far of the many I visited in Coventry. No music, only the sound of conversations. Open fires, excellent range of ales, knowledgeable and friendly bar staff. Very highly recommended.

I thought I'd been in cosy pubs before but nothing comes close to this. Sadly I couldn't get a decent pic but there's a part of this place which is perfect for a quiet, cosy drink or two (or few) with a significant other or a few mates. Otherwise there's a good selection of beers, some outside seating out front and nice comfy arm chairs if you can grab them. Gutted I hadn't discovered this sooner in all my years in Cov - love it.

Very friendly service. No food served here. Music was a little loud for my taste. Good selection of beers.

Cosy pub on the fringe of the city centre. Small bar which focuses on a well-curated range of real ales and ciders, a plenty of snacks. Popular with dog walkers.

Great ales and an epic selection of ciders. If you enjoy exclusive ciders this is the place to go. Staff are extremely welcoming and friendly with a great knowledge of what they are selling. Locals are also very friendly and if you like dogs then you should definitely pop along.

Proper back street pub. Real ales and cider... Proper free house, how all pubs should be. Still a great pub, dog friendly. Beers from last Friday Citra and Damn Dog

It's a time capsule of a pub. If they took out the electric lights and added candles you would think you went back in time.....in a good way. The staff are friendly, the real ales are good (so I am told) and the pub dog is amazing. All in all a nice visit.

Was looking forward to going in this place. When I arrived was instantly disappointed by the outside . Inside was similar. The staff were very friendly as was the locals. Needs some work on the premises. Beer was good and a descent price. Needs updating. My visit was eye opening.

This pub deserves all the praise it can get as it's one of the best pubs serving award winning Beer & Cider's On entering the pub I'am always heartily greeted by all the staff (sad to say, in other pubs this can be quite rare these days), great service and even greater choice of beer's. The prices were very competitive and the atmosphere pleasent. I really can't recommend this place highly enough, and can only say that if you're in the area do pay it a visit!!!

Revisited this local pub for the first time in years. We didn't know it was quiz night, so it was heaving. We sat outside on picnic benches which are a great addition as being next to Butts Park it's quite a pleasant outdoor drinking spot...not many of them in Coventry. I'm sure real Ale drinkers will all rate this pub 5 stars and it obviously has a loyal fan base. The bar serves mainly real ales, bottled largers and little in the way of spirits. It seems perpetually in a state of being half way through a refurbishment...which means it's very scruffy. The inside space is tiny (too small for quiz night but probably cozy feeling normally), but allowing so many dogs in with people on quiz night made it a bit of an obstacle course to get to the bar and the whole room smelt quite strongly of damp dog. Lady behind the bar seemed very efficient and friendly.

Hidden away. Well worth going to if you are going to the butts park arena. Good range of ale and it has a big dog!

Amazing little pub just outside of town, away from the hustle and bustle. Very family and dog friendly. Staff are very efficient and welcoming.
