Possibly the best pies in the world. Stick toffee is to be tasted to be believed! Arrive hungry leave full. Very friendly staff and a great canal side location.

First things first, the places look's truly great and keeps to it's traditional style, it's in a very nice setting next to a popular canal. The food here is really outstanding every time, the prices are completely fair and the quality is honestly more than what you pay for, top class! The servers are also very friendly and easy to talk to, they make the place comfortable. Good selection of drinks on tap and otherwise, not really much else to say other than it's a real tucked away gem.

Excellent food and service. Good choice of gluten free options though slightly more limited on desserts. Highly recommend the pies. Burgers are very nice but very huge!

Beautiful traditional pub with amazing food. Serves everything from small snacks and large platters and Sunday roasts. Will definitely be returning for a Sunday lunch and a walk along the canal.

Nice pub, by the water, there is outdoor space covered and quite warm for colder days, the outside has a view to water. The barcode scanning at the tables did not work and we ordered at the bar. Took a bit of time to get served honestly. We went with supreme chicken and fish and chips which both were fine. wuite large portion which matches the price.

First time here for a meal, which was with two ex-work mates. We were all impressed with our meals & the service was also very good. We will certainly return in the future.

Nice, olde country pub with a very pleasant atmosphere, and superb view of the Coventry canal. Food served hot and very tasty, slightly over average on price. That said, we found it well worth it considering the quality. Very popular, so consider booking in advance for restaurant (not required for bar, and the excellent variety on the menus are the same). Parking can be a bit limited, so plan ahead of visit. Will be going again. Thank you.

We had King Prawns and Garlic Mushrooms to start, sizzling hot and really tasty! Chicken & Leek Pie with potato gratin and Chicken Supreme for main both piping hot and delicious. Great beer and wine selection to wash it down 👌 Service was excellent, no waiting for too long to get drinks and genuinely friendly staff.

Seems nice , but very busy . Sat outside on a table that felt like it was on its last legs (literally) ordered on app but were expected to get cutlery yourself from the bar. We had no idea we had to but lovely waitress got it for us. Food was lovely and location is great ,

Vegetables under cooked. No cheese in Steak and Devon Cheese pie discovered. Starter advisable food portion wise. App suggests tip before service! Plus points: Food served very hot and service very prompt and polite. Pub itself, deep seam of English tradition. Before Covid must have been really good for locals and pub food. Bloody shame but at least they should survive! So, only solid veg preventing 5* or to be fair, perhaps my fault for not sending them back. NB Working in a pub was my first job.

I moored up close to the Greyhound. I popped in at lunchtime to check out the menu. I stayed and enjoyed one of their bar snacks, a large cheese and onion bap. I have never made a bap with so much cheese in it. I returned later with a friend for an evening meal. Wow. He had the lasagna, and I had a chicken curry. We both struggled to eat our main courses. Both dishes were well presented and tasted great. Only after finishing our food, did we notice several couples were leaving with doggy bags. There were at least two alcohol free beers. Guinness was one pound a pint less than I pay elsewhere. There is a dedicated eating area, and the bar area. We chose to eat in the bar. The inside of the pub is well decorated as an old style pub. There are so few real pubs about, this is one of the few. I wish I lived closer.

Had a nice meal here with work colleagues, older style pub decor, nice atmosphere, food was lovely, good service and a decent selection of beers.

The service here was really good, the staff were VERY good and cared about their visitors. The party I was with all enjoyed their food. The beef lasagne could have been better but not sure why it wasn't as good as the other dishes we had. The meat is ordered from a local butcher who has a high reputation in the area, understandably based on the quality of the meats; burger, gammon, steaks and sausages. The tables were a little bit too small for comfort but would not put me off from visiting again. Try it; you'll like it. :-)

Visited this pub many times and as always absolutely amazing! Great food with great customer service from Lucas, Holly and Gio! Can’t thank the staff enough for being great and just providing an amazing time and experience as always! Highly recommend going here, even if it’s just for a couple of drinks to enjoy the view!

Great canal side pub, dogs are welcome. But it keeps running out of ale's. Been in a few times recently and it has only been able to offer two or even today one ale, very disappointing. Food though very good. Staff required to wear masks but pointless exercise if they wear under noses or even under chins. Need to get the order into the brewery, and let staff decide if they want to wear masks, have seen a few staff wearing appropriate masks.

For those of you who might be worried that having new management might change this wonderful pub, then I’d like to put your fears at rest. I was there yesterday (Sunday 29th Oct) with my wife, my dad and my Aunt & Uncle and can honestly say that the Greyhound has lost none of its charm, atmosphere or great food & drink. Darren & his team worked absolutely tirelessly to make sure everyone was happy and that the food came out in good time. Remember…this is a busy & popular pub, the meals are all cooked from fresh so don’t expect to be served in 5 minutes! Having spoke to Darren during the course of the afternoon he explained how he wants to keep the pub exactly as it’s always been…and even try to improve on a few things. He clearly understands that this is a little gem of a canalside pub and wants to keep it that way. By the way, we all had the Sunday roast and it was amazing!! Make sure you take a good appetite with you if you go for the ‘regular’ £12.95 size with a combination of meats…!! Very happy customers who will be returning very soon.

We have been here a few times, but tonight we joined some new friends that we met on the canal. The food was as always so delicious and well presented. All the staff are helpful and no their jobs well. The steaks were cooked to perfection. Such a great place to stop for a lunch time drink or evening meal. Highly recommended xx

Friendly, homely and welcoming. A nice full menu, complimented by a good selection of beers, wines and spirits. Food was cooked to perfection and service spot on. Couldn't fault it and would highly recommend booking a table (although they do 'walk-ins' if you want to sit outide/under the canopy).

Great food and prices and lovely location! More clarity on drinks prices would be helpful, but such a lovely pub! I'm so glad places like these have made it through covid 👍

Great coffee and a nice place out of the rain, and views of the canal

It seems a nice little boozer, a typical 'old English pub" in many ways with a good food at reasonable prices. The place was almost completely full when I visited Friday afternoon, most customers were of the "older demographic" but it has a good atmosphere and is situated next to the canal so would be a ideal summer pub too. I had the Ploughman's Platter, which was reasonably priced and most delicious. The other food I saw being served looked good too. Would definitely visit again.

We came here on a narrowboat in July it was that good we came 2 nights in a row . 3 months later we did a big loop heading to the Ashby canal we decided to go a few miles further to come here again. We were so glad we did as the food and service were so much better than we remembered the first time and that was good then. The only down side is we want to shout about this amazing place but we don’t want it to get to busy we can not get a table next time. So to sum up if you have not been here the question is why? Amazing place.
