Staff are super friendly, helpful and accommodating here. You can get a really good breakfast as well. Cereal or fruit to start, a solid full English breakfast and then if you are still hungry, something to top you up with. Fruit juice and coffee is good as well. Worth popping in here for a treat before work.

Highly recommend the sparrow if you want a nice quiet family meal. We took our parents for their wedding anniversary. Staff were very friendly and professional. Food was cooked perfectly and all came out together. Thank you to Tom (manager) for a pleasant experience.

Great place to go for a meal and a drink. The Sparrow is in Coombe Fields Road, near Ansty village, not far out of Coventry. There is a brilliant choice of food on the menu, vegan and vegetarian too. Good variety of Drinks and a very spacious restaurant too. Book up if you want to go to the Sparrow, evenings are busy. Staff are considerate and thoughtful. Give this place a try, you wont be disappointed.

We spend many a Happy Occasion Celebrating together at Sparrow Hall Ansty Coventry West Midlands. And have always found all staff welcoming and food of good quality I must mention one staff member Sherie who always goes above and beyond to attend to your needs.

Place was half empty on arrival and half empty when we left, top floor completely empty, we were told because we hadn't booked we were by the pool table. Took 15 minutes before we were served then about another 15 mins before we got drinks. We were going to have another drink and a sweet, but after another 15 mins I went to the bar to order and was told to go back to my table and he would be with me in two ticks. A further 15 mins and no service so we gave up. I complained when paying the bill but the excuse was we are short staffed. I advised we could not accept that as an excuse as I had gone to order from the bar and was told two ticks. No compensation offered an extremely poor show

We used The Sparrow as we were staying in the adjacent Premier Inn, whilst visiting the NEC. Found the staff to be friendly helpful and very welcoming. We dined for two nights and had breakfast one morning. On each occasion the food was cooked really well and we were very impressed with the speed of service. Would highly recommend and use again if we return to the area.

Ordered the three course festive, we had our starter but then had to wait for an hour after for our main in a restaurant that wasn't that busy. That being said, upon learning that there was only two servers on ( one having to come back early from medical issues )due to staffing issues I can fully understand that they were under a lot of pressure. I can't remember the names of the two servers that I spoke with but they deserve a lot of praise and respect from their manager for keeping the place going. The restaurant itself is a lovely setting, open and light with a relaxed atmosphere. I deeply hope that they find capable staff to strengthen their team and then I will be willing to give five stars across the board. I will be returning in the future as the food is very good.

It was pretty average food nothing outstanding but nothing bad by any means. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The food arrived relatively quickly and was hot. It's probably the best Brewers Fayre I have been to in the area and it was a large group I was in as well so if you want cheap and cheerful you can't go wrong here.

Lovely place and a really warm welcome. Very friendly. Really good value for food adults and kids. Different food for days of the week. As soon as my wife and i stepped into the sparrow with my little girl, we were greeted at the door by Lorraine. After seating, the manager popped over to us for a friendly chat. He approached like he knew us for years. We had the Sunday roast that was lovely. The other food looked lovely as the waiters walked past. The kids' menu was really good value for money Again, thank you for your service Lorraine and the manager.

Good value meals. Good quality. Excellent service. Highly recommended. Lovely venue for lunch or dinner

First time to this venue, we’re from London and had spent the day at Warwick Castle so this is not a local venue for us. It was beautiful inside, very clean, spacious and all the tables were clean & tidy too. We will be visiting this Brewers Fayre again for sure. We have been to quite a few Brewers Fayres and though they were very friendly, this one has to be the most memorable due to how nice the interior is - all staff definitely were the cherry on the top. Thank you to Tom & his team 👏🙏

Nice setting, clean and tidy establishment. Super prawn cocktails, roast chicken breast, overcooked and inedible, accompanying vegetables acceptable. Cheeseburger asked for medium cooked, was told okay, then told not available for some reason. Looked nice on arrival, but the burger was so overcooked it would not have been out of place in an ice hockey game. Two other meals ordered were very good and all were served in a friendly and professionally way by the young lady looking after us . Disappointing visit despite recommended reports. The nice gesture of a small bottle of bubbly enhanced the celebration of my daughter’s birthday lunch. Thank you.

The restaurant wasn’t particularly busy when we visited yet we were ignored for nearly ten minutes waiting to be seated. Just a nod of acknowledgment or a ‘be with you soon’ from the staff who passed us several times would’ve sufficed. After standing there for ages we were finally seated and the person who served us was pleasant enough. Door was pretty grim, flavourless and not great value. I had hunter’s chicken made from rubbery, anaemic preformed chicken breast. It was such a gross texture and would likely bounce if dropped on the floor.

Went for Fathers day meal, food was nice as always and service was lovely too. All staff friendly and polite even though they were busy they took their time to chat and wish us a Happy Fathers day and Paige was a star.

Service was terrible, firstly we had to wait 20mins for our reserved table then 9 of us had meals and by the time the 9th meal came out 2 had already finished there's! oh and then a side turned up for one of them. The staff were not a happy bunch! The trio of pies I had was actually nice but that was the only good part!

15 of us had the Christmas menu this evening. It was lovely. Everyone enjoyed the food and said they would come back again. The staff were lovely and looked after us well. One of the guests wanted gluten free and they made a real effort to make sure he had gluten free options to choose from, even though I hadn’t let them know prior to this evening. Great evening x

Just had Xmas meal for the two of us off the festive menu. Excellent meal cooked really well two courses for £14.99 payed £2.00 extra and we both had a three course. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Great service nice and hot would recommend.

Despite a busy Sunday afternoon close to Christmas food and service was superb! Many thanks to our wonderful server William! 5* customer service and a lovely Sunday roast dinner

A group of us met up here for the weekend. The food was good, the staff were brilliant and there was plenty to drink. A little more choice of real ales would have suited me but I have no complaints. They went above and beyond to look after us and ensure we had everything we needed. Top marks!

Ok is the best I can offer to this place. The food was ok, the staff were a bit grumpy and the place it's self was clean enough but the threat of getting a parking fine was ever present in the shared car park. Over all meh

Came across the pub by accident after taking the kids to Coombe Abbey, and I’m glad we did, absolutely great experience, customer service was excellent, very clean, food was lovely, the menu was small but still had a lot of variety as for me personally there’s nothing more I hate that going into a pub and it having a massive complicated menu that’s just overwhelming but don’t get me wrong there was still plenty to choose from, we took our two young grandchildren and there was no worry of rowdiness from other pub users, proper family environment, going back to the customer service; staff where excellent, very polite, well presented, couldn’t do enough for us, interacted with the kids, even though the food was excellent it was the staff and their service that has made us want to go back there, we have already planned a second visit!!

A very quiet afternoon it hardly had any diners. We ordered food which took ages every meal we asked for there was an element of it not in stock. When the food arrived my husband's meal was cold and they totally forgot my son's pizza. When I asked about it they said out it was out of stock and made popcorn chicken instead. Again it took ages to arrive on paying the bill they gave us his meal free but none of the meals ordered were up to standard. We won't be visiting again

The Sparrow Turned up unbooked. Had the £8.99 for two meals. Excellent service from a young server who has just joined. I have various intolerences but she checked out the allergens chart with a smile and she double checked with another member of staff. Fabulous young lady and a friendly restaurant with all staff very attentive and happy to serve. Full marks

Had a meal with some family. I wasn't impressed with the roast turkey dinner, the roast potatoes tasted very strange and we're also rather burnt. The brocoli etc was frozen and the mash was pretty made stuff. The wait to get a member of staff to come and take our orders for drinks and puddings were ridiculous and when we wanted to pay we were unable to find any staff for a good twenty minutes. I had to walk around to find someone.

We had to wait a long time to get served then when we got the food there were items missing. Then asked the waitress to take the dessert order and waited 20 minutes before we gave up a left after paying at the bar

Visited with a family for a table of 15. 2 under 3 and 4 under 16 and the rest of us oldies. Service with a smile and food arrived when requested. Split bill was easily handled and everyone was happy, reasonably priced and overall a very pleasant experience. Will definitely return.

For a Brewers Fayre, I usually expect cheap and cheerful with a decent quality, unfortunately this time was disappointing. The biggest issue is they were clearly understaffed - the two people there were hardworking but couldn't keep up. The coffee machine was broken and there were no clean mugs for hot drinks, the Continental breakfast area only had bread and cornflakes because it wasn't being restocked fast enough. For hot food, we didn't have our order taken until 40 minutes in, and though they had vegan options for sausages and bacon, they both tasted bad. Overall we left feeling that we would could have had a nicer and more straightforward breakfast of we'd just stayed at home.

Lovely service and a great place to eat. We were looking for an afternoon tea with my partner and couldn't find anywhere to book and walked into Brewers fayre and was served with a gorgeous smile and a curtious service. Thank you.

Zero stars is more appropriate!!! Appalling customer service! They ran out of 2/3 of the Sunday dinner options but didn't tell us until 10 mins after ordering, missed off the child's meal, served inedible food that was so overcooked in could cause an injury if thrown!!! When we asked to speak to the manager, he didn't even come over, he just went straight to the tills to change the bill. Clearly knew the food was bad! Still charged us for a portion of the bill, even though all 4 meals were over cooked and barely

Clean and tidy, staff were nice. What lets it down is the price. Too expensive for what is basic pub grub.

Last time we visited before lockdown we gave a 5star review. The staff then were friendly, welcoming, and went above and beyond! This time the staff didn't seem like they wanted to be there. There was extremely loud music coming from the kitchen. They didn't give us a full set of menus, messed up all but one of our dinners. The "signature red wine gravy" was literally brown warm water. Other people were having a great time and staff knew them, hugging and bringing them drinks etc, when my husband asked if our drinks could be brought to our table (next to the ones already being brought drinks) the staff acted like he had just sprouted a second head. When our roasts arrived they were missing extra meat we had paid for. Stuffing, mash, pigs in blankets and vegetables. The children's dishes had that look where you could just tell they had been sat there under a warm light for a long period of time. We won't be visiting again.

wouldn’t recommend! waitress was rude and inattentive , we asked for the starters to come out with the mains but were still brought out separately we thought nothing of this until our starter plates were on a our table for over an hour , had to go to bar to ask for our drinks which were sat on the bar with waitresses walking past them and not bringing them over for over half an hour and it was not busy at all probably 6 small tables including our own . we have a two hour parking slot and we got our meals 15 minutes before our parking was due to run out and still had deserts to come in that time . the kids burgers were dry and burnt . the veg sticks that were severed with a burger were hot as if they’d been under the hot light for a very long time . this is not a reflection of all staff as somebody came over and apologised to us for our wait and the lady who brought our mains over was very polite and checked we were all okay however our main sever was rude and careless , while ignoring us the entire time after trying to get her attention we saw her singing and dancing to the music playing in the restaurant . i went to the bar to order some drinks and was ignored by the bar staff for quite a while . through all of this no compensation was offered after they’d already acknowledged we had been there a very long time .some of the staff need some serious training specifically in manners and customer service ! will NOT be returning! i think our 6 pence tip was a good reflection of the service i hope they don’t spend it all at once ;)

Went for food at half past five on a Saturday and the service was incredibly quick and efficient. We were seated right away and the staff were professional and polite. The menu was perhaps not quite as much as could have been hoped for but none the less there was a reasonable selection available. When the food arrived it was hot and tasty and the only minor issue we had was swiftly resolved with no fuss whatsoever. The drinks selection sad more than adequate and the staff were knowledgeable about the selection available. The desserts were lovely and I would recommend the chocolate torte to anyone! All in all, a lovely pub for a family meal and one that I would definitely recommend.
