Very nice place. Nice food, and very much part of the great community of Earlsdon. A welcome place for my family to go for a meal. Helpful people. Bus stop outside, and at this time a jubilee decorated pillar box.

Food was lovely I had a mixed grill my wife had the cauliflower curry best wethespoon meal I've had in a while all the meat was spot on and her curry was delicious.... All the more impressive considering how busy they were.

We had a good time, we enjoyed. Yes if we look deeper needs a lot of improvements but let see the good part of the business …. decent price for food and drinks.

Great pub & restaurant. Usual variety of food sold at a Wetherspoon, good atmosphere inside and quite open compared to other Wetherspoons. No ketchup for some reason?

Parking extremely limited since they bolted picnic tables in most of what was the car park a couple of years ago. It's a typical Spoons venue with a decent hike upstairs to the toilets so do yourself a favour, buy a radar key off eBay and use the disabled toilet on the ground floor instead. Decent selection of beers, wines, ales etc and a pretty standard food menu midday of which by the looks of it is either microwaved or kept under best lamps. But it is what it is, cheap and cheerful.

We wanted to have lunch here on a Saturday but were told that the wait for food is at/over 40 minutes. We are grateful that the staff had told us before ordering, as we have a young child and that wait is too long for us. Hope to go back another time.

Ordered 8pcs Chicken Wing, and the meal I received got 5pcs of very small chicken wing only. The staff helped me to get the balance, but it was really awkward to talk to them about it!

Another disappointment when visitihg City Arms in Coventry on Monday morning for breakfast. We all ordered a full breakfast. The food arrived within minutes, so it had obviously been plated up already. All three breakfasts were stone cold and congealed. The fried eggs looked like flat hard boiled eggs. The 2 bar staff/waitresses were over-stretched, but happily replaced the eggs. No refund offered. We would advise people to avoid this establishment. It is very badly managed and the kitchen staff should be ashamed of themselves, as whatever city I have been to in England the best part of a weekend break for me is a Wetherspoons breakfast

Ordered a medium rare steak that came out like a pice of charcoal. I complained and they said they would replace it . I waited that long I had to get my money back but the manager of the restaurant wasn't that bothered. All my friends had eaten but was not that impressed with the food . so I would recommend you don't go if you want good food . Avoid at all cost

For a spoons it is one of the better ones near to me. Bar is busy but the bar staff serve quickly. Came in for a cold cider and sat in the sun. I think it would benefit from a bit of a revamp, and some background music. Obviously Wetherspoons don't have music so not much they can do there. As a smoker the smoking area is very small compared to the non smoking outside seating area.

Free refills on your coffee, tea, etc. But couldn't put an order in for food because of staffing issues. Normally a really lovely place but we had to go elsewhere for food. Due to a lack of staffing place was dirty with piles of dirty plates on the table. It is not normally like this

So, payday weekend, Halloween celebrations, lots of people out in Earlsdon, City Arms absolutely rammed. Over half an hour to get served. Customers getting annoyed, arguing and pushing in. Not the bar staff's fault, the few they had on were stressing and suffering too. Wetherspoons and the management need to get their act together. Biggest, busiest pub in the street with only four or five serving. Been like this for a while. Ridiculous.

Relatively as a spoons. This is much cheaper than many others as those who go to enough of these establishments will realise that prices scale slightly based on location. Facilities clean. Bathroom was clean. Coffee machines were working and breakfast was as expected as a spoons chain pub it was a good experience and it has a bigger open area in the back as well as less space in a smaller area. For value was good. For atmosphere was good. Food was as expected from a wetherspoons(for those not as familiar Food took between 15 to 20 minutes to arrive at the table. Was hot and fresh. Myself and my friend were able to have a conversation as it wasn't too noisy. Have not been here for quite some time but I know that this place has quite a different character on Friday and Saturday nights.

Busy as you'd expect for a Saturday night yet quick bar service and cheap prices. Added bonus exceeding my daily step count going to the toilets several times! 😋

Food was good, but you need to hire more staff. We waited ages and tables were so dirty and full of empty plates and empty glasses. There was not enough staff to cover a full pub, it's disgraceful!!

Noisy atmosphere as popular with youngsters but thats great, made it lively. Certain bar staff not with it, half filled a pint and cleared off to pour a 2nd, had paid for 4 drinks, never came back, another barman told and he sorted, thankfully!

First time back in years.. For a breakfast.. And the last.. Large breakfast ordered. Beans and toast cold, bacon was inedible and the sausage stinking.. Queues to get a coffee, one machine working. No Spoons and tables dirty..

Great for all ages. The small plate I had was excellent. Liked the unlimited coffee as well. You can't go wrong. Alcohol much cheaper than anywhere else.

Just like most wetherspoons, nice comfy atmosphere with the typical menu. Always love the fried chicken buttermilk burgers from there. Did 4 for £5.38 and the shots were good, I recommend the caramel one the most. They forgot one of the shots accidently but once I pointed it out, they quickly got me the other one - friendly staff. I don't have any allergies so I can't comment on that experience but with the friendliness of the staff, I'm sure they will be very accommodating.

Exceeded my expectation of the quality of the Chicken Tikka Masala meal. Nice chicken in a creamy sauce with a Nan bread that really was delicious. Genuine and friendly staff made for a great family evening with my wife and three kids sharing my high opinion of the meals and atmosphere.

Used to go to the Tuesday Steak Night quite regularly and have been back tonight and remembered why we stopped going. The steak was so tough and grisly and now you only get chips or jacket potato. No mushrooms tomato or peas. You only get this if you upgrade to the gourmet steak at additional cost. Will be a long time before we go back.

Great atmosphere, great drinks. Mostly good bar staff only one who was a little slow. Food was OK, usual wetherspoons standard. Only problem was tennessee burger came with the wrong sauce, not the usual jack Daniels one (which my friends meal came with). Mine seemed to be maple syrup!! Very odd.

Sat outside to grab a quick snack and a few beers in the sunshine. Table service was slower then usual but it was a warm evening and i guess staff were busy and worn out in the sun

We visited on a Saturday afternoon with our children. The place was very busy and full of drunk men constantly swearing and being rowdy. There wasn't a corner of the room to hide away so the kids didn't have to hear or see this. The staff were great but they were very understaffed as I saw the waiting team looking exhausted running in and out with food. Meals were OK. Not the usual standard you'd expect from a wetherspoons and a lot of the items were out of stock so it took a while to find something we could actually order I would suggest if visiting to do so when it's not busy.

  • 4/5 chris h. 4 months ago on Google
Great location and prices you'd expect from whetherspoons. Service is sadly often quite slow though and it's often easier to order through the app than queue at the bar!

One of, if not the best weatherspoons pubs I have visited. Very large pub area with excellent service.

  • 3/5 Jason W. 5 months ago on Google
I ordered a simple meal, panini & chips. The meal was barely warm. A really skimpy portion of chips, and not as good as they used to be. The panina filling is less than it used to be also. One of my friends ordered a panini, that was also barely warm. Another friend had a curry, that was okay. Other Wetherspoons do better.

Whilst I found the establishment to be good there is no onsite parking available. Now onto the food which I can only describe as reheated garbage and was definitely not freshly cooked

Some good beers on when I visited and excellent value with my CAMRA vouchers

Wethers is always good. The City Arms was once known as Ma Coopers to us older Earlsdonites. Anyway, this Wethers is a comfortable place to while away some time. There is a wide choice of beer on the pumps, including Abbot and Ruddles and the menu has a great deal of choice to satisfy most people's likes. As with all Wetherspoons pubs the prices are excellent and the staff at The City Arms in Earlsdon are pleasant. This pub is worth a try.

Lovely place for a cheap dinner. Service with a smile too.

They certainly know how to keep beer. Very helpful staff. Would be five if the food was a bit better. My burger tasted ok, but I felt the salad bits could be fresher. Mind you, a hot day.

Surprised by just how good the steak was tonight. I've had a lot worse at Miller and Carter. Fish and chips managers special looked good and eas only 2.49.

One of the best budget pubs in Coventry, I would certainly go back there again.

  • 3/5 Andy A. 2 years ago on Google
Beers good. Staff friendly. Clean location. Tasy food. However soft drinks are full of ice. They do not have any taste, as ice melts and it mixes up with juice.

Top notch wspoons. Good food and excellent choice of real ales.

  • 4/5 Kevin M. 2 years ago on Google
Always a good selection of real ales and value for money meals. Friendly & helpful staff. Earlsdon is within walking distance for me, so it’s a local handy hostelry!🍺😊 The interior decor and seating has been in need of updating for many years.

Noisy, but good range of options on menu at affordable prices, moderate food, relaxed atmosphere. The manager dealt very well with a drunken neighbour customer on a rowdy Saturday night. Location: near Waverley station highly convenient.

  • 4/5 David f. 2 years ago on Google
Pretty much what you'd expect from a spoons. Often less busy than the others in the city as it is the only one not located in the city centre. However there can sometimes be some rowdy people during the busy hours. Food is decent and service is good. Very cheap too as you would expect.

If I'm out for the day I start here, good breakfast and an early pint

  • 3/5 Ro R. 1 year ago on Google
Good value breakfast but no sugar in stock for tea or coffee. I know stock is hard to get sometimes but there's a co op over the road or at least tell us before ordering there is none

  • 4/5 Bethany F. 1 year ago on Google
Good pub but very tight to fit our group in ... no tables appeared to have more than four seats to it so we felt slightly cramped . Food was good and fast considering it was slightly busier than normal

Came here very hungover, had a pint in the garden under the hot sun, sorted me right out. Surprisingly big building, cool toilets. Would drink here again.

The rudest manageress I've ever come across at 11.15pm with the place empty we were asked (told) to get away from bar and then doorman sent over and told we wouldn't be served again, manners cost nothing and if I owned this company i would be disappointed in the way staff treated customers, some staff training required in how to speak to customers is required. Its no wonder it got voted one of the worst weatherspoons ever. I will return and hopefully get treated with a bit more respect next time. One bad apple doesn't doest reflect on the whole company

Yet again served up a luke warm meal after a few visits now the meals havnt improved we were the only ones having a meal and yes it came over quick maybe because it wasn't cooked for long who knows there is always something missing out of stuff who manages the ordering Have to say in my opinion city arms has to be worse witherspoon I've visited . Definitely won't be coming back here gave it a try a few times always disappointed going to use the witherspoons in Solihull good cook there had a few meals there not been disappointed the yet

  • 3/5 Linda R. 1 year ago on Google
Last week complained about chips on 2 meals were cold which were replaced with piping hot chips in bowls. Went today and again the food was barely luke warm, staff are helpful but won't be bothering with meals here again.

We had fish, chips and peas. The food was excellent. It was delivered to our table by a friendly young woman who was very helpful. It was a very pleasant experience.

Typical Weatherspoons in price and quality. Always happy to purchase a meal and a pint in them. Well priced for both of them and very friendly atmosphere too.

  • 5/5 Neil H. 1 year ago on Google
Typically Wetherspoon's quality, however this gets a five star just for the staff who were friendly, efficient and helpful without any problem whatsoever. The way it should be but it is seldom the case. The staff here are fantastic!

  • 3/5 Elizabeth R. 1 year ago on Google
Lovely lunch and friendly staff. Main problem was that a lot of tables hadn't been cleared!!! So a bit of a put off. But they were obviously under staffed

  • 4/5 Natalie H. 1 year ago on Google
This Wetherspoons is very pleasant, the staff are very friendly and sociable, and helpful if you need something, good mix of different age groups of clientele, young couples, older couples, families and groups of friends, the clientele are as friendly as the staff, lovely and tasty food, good steaks from the grill menu, fantastic breakfasts!wide range of beers and ales, and big choice of gins and other spirits, easy access disabled toilets near end of bar,big outdoor seating areas, with overhead lights which come on at night, worth visiting I would highly recommend!.

  • 4/5 Steve E. 2 years ago on Google
Food was very reasonably priced and very well cooked, I had the 11" meat feast pizza. The only minor point was the chicken pieces were quite large, would have preferred them to be halved. The beers were cheap and the staff were friendly and helpful. All in all pleased with everything, would visit again happy to recommend.
