We were served by Sophie who was absolutely amazing. My husband has a fish allergy and she was so attentive in making sure nothing he ordered could of possibly been in contact with any fish or even been cooked near to it. She could not of done anymore for us. Her manners and service were truly appreciated. The food was fresh, hot and cooked to perfection. Will definitely be returning and would highly recommend this place. Thank you Sophie for making our lunch a pleasurable experience.

I had a lovely meal, I had the ultimate mixed grill all the meats were very delicious, the steak was nice but not a prime cut of meat, but overall everything went down a treat. The all you can eat salad bar is very nice as well.

We both ordered rump steak. Mine Med Rare my friends choice was medium well.....hers was really thin and incredibly over cooked, she returned hers and the apologetic waitress had it replaced....mine was really quite thick and sinuous, very tough to cut although I didn't return mine not wanting to make a bigger fuss, the little I ate of it was tasty but too tough. We love the place, we use it regularly so we're a little disappointed our bill wasn't adjusted accordingly.

Been to the elms a few times before and had lovely experiences before hand , however this last time was not very enjoyable, rudely greeted by the hostess. I asked if they had any tables for 2 available however they were very busy due to 40% off mains which is understandable, however once we took a seat in the bar area, people who haven’t booked were offered to sit in the restaurant area and if people were outside offered to come in. The bar table we were given was not properly reset leaving us with only 2 knives and when i asked for a fork i was told where to find them. Our starters arrived and i looked at the cheese and bacon potato skins i ordered and they were poorly presented and burnt to a crisp. I then noticed they didn’t have any bacon on whatsoever. I went up to the bar and explained the issue and they bar staff were very understanding and got them taken off the bill. The rest of the food was ok and served quickly. The whole time the floor staff were rushed off there feet. While the manager/hostess on duty was just stood at the host point glancing between the laptop or her phone rather than assisting her staff. Overall just a very average visit. Thank you to the waitress behind the bar that was very nice and understanding about everything, unfortunately didn’t get her name.

Luke who served us was extremely pleasant, due to business commitments we only had limited time. Luke ensured our order was served promptly. The food was well presented and very nice. Compliments to the team. A very enjoyable meal and experience. Would recommend visiting if you are in the area.

Really nice place, friendly staff with great attention to detail. Food was great and a nice selection of beers. Salad bar was well stocked ! Worth a visit for food or just drinks Only down side is that the car park is really badly lit so you have to be careful driving in and out and walking from the car.

Lovely quiet place for breakfast. Building has great character both inside and out, just felt a little cold at times. Nice friendly staff. Food was good and came out on time.

Just home from Christmas Dinner. The food was great. There were 18 of us, but the food all came out at the same time with plenty of time to chat between each course. They prepared a bespoke Gluten free meal which was great. Chris served us and did a fantastic job. Really polite, very helpful and attentive. Thank you!

Food is good, you get exactly what you pay for. The star of the show is the legendary salad bar. Atmosphere is lacking slightly but if you go with some good friends or family you'll forget about it. Service here is brilliant, mainly because of David who properly looked after us all whilst cracking a few jokes along the way.

Great service from staff. Excellent selection of foods. Love the vegetarian ones. Every order of foods comes with an unlimited salads. Light atmosphere. Location of restaurant is nice with bigger car park.

Went there Saturday early evening was pretty busy as you'd expect but the food or service didn't suffer from them being busy. Table of 6 food came quickly after being served by a very polite waitresses. Great menu and even better portion sizes. Will definitely be going again.

The Elms is our favourite Harvester. It is a lovely old building with lots of character. Always great food and cooked consistency well. Polite staff. We were served by Chris last night 21.11.23 and he was very professional and helpful. Food was perfect. Steaks were exactly as requested and overall a pleasant experience. Just a great service all round.

I've been multiple times during the pandemic and enjoyed myself each time. The food can be expensive but always tastes great. Definitely my favourite calamari that I've ever had. I would definitely recommend it for a nice meal.

What a beautiful building they are in. Very nice setting. Last Friday my husband and I came to The Elms in Coventry for a 'let's do lunch meal deal' at 1645 hrs, where it took over 5 minutes to be acknowledged. We helped ourselves to the menu from the host table and saw the offer and began to select our meal while standing waiting. After 5 minutes the host stopped by and excused himself saying he would be with us in a minute, and went into the kitchen. On his return he asked if we had booked and told us to "ignore that one" (menu) but I questioned it as i knew it was until 5pm. 'Where do I put you? Would you mind sitting in the bar?' we agreed. ​He told us 'If you can't pay before 5pm it doesn't apply' and picked up a different menu and escorted us to our table. My husband who hadn't visited a Harvester recently asked the difference and was told 'there is better choice on this menu' and the host told us to order at the bar, so no waiter service (or bill after). We checked the time and it was still just before 5 and so we could have ordered and paid at the bar by 5 to get the deal. We didn't feel welcome and after considering the new menu, which was over double the price of the deal we had gone for. We felt like he couldn't be bothered to provide a service, so we took his hint and left. I had taken my daughter and all the kids to Rochdale harvester in Bury Road the day before and their service was beyond reproach. Maybe Coventry host could ask them for hints and tips on best practice.

Really disappointed. Went fir Sunday lunch. Booked for 3.45 avoiding busy period as we had our two small grandchildren with us. On booking ask for 2 high chairs. We arrived early and sat outside for a drink. We informed them we were there. Yet when we went in we were guided to the very back of the restaurant, lots of steps, which was difficult with two little one. High chairs were not at the table, had too wait while they went to get them. They took our order some time later. and advised how to use the salad bar. Which again with two little one was difficult, as we had to go in two separate goes, so the little ones were not left alone. I asked for mayo for the little ones salad and was told it was at the end of the counter, so seeing a white tub shaped bottle with pump, unmarked, went to put it on salad when I realised it was sanitiser, how dangerous. We got back to table, no cutlery, but no one yo ask close by, so hubby went on the hunt for knives and forks, by which time little were ever to start and not happy to wait. I mentioned cutlery to waiter who just said oh yes I forgot. Still no cutlery appeared. Hubby ask a waitress who was putting it on other tables, he response was I will have to see if we have any spare ??? What were we ment to eat with! So hubby took it off another table, and surprisingly neither the waitress or waiter brought any to the table. Food arrived and was poor to say the least. Kid meals were rubbish, and cold. The £15 surf and turf skewer was 3 pieced of tough beef and 3 over cooked prawns, very greasy with a pieces of flat bread, the side of coleslaw was 1 teaspoonful in a pot, and the peri peri sauce was about a tablespoon, I asked for sweet potato fries and got chips. The burger with blue cheese was full of drinking grease and over powering nasty tasting blue cheese. We had been finished for over 15 mins when they came to clear table and ask about deserts, which took another 15 mins to come, so by this time kids were totally fed up and to be honest so we're we. Deserts where the highlight of the meal. But you can't go wrong with ice cream and pre made cakes ? Frankly the whole experience was unpleasant and we won't be going again. Harvester if this is post pandemic service your not really encouraging people back to the restaurant.

The building itself has character. The entrance area was welcoming. We were early but were shown to our table after a quick availability check. We were attended to by Luke with very little delay and the drinks we ordered arrived soon. The food also arrived speedily and was of good quality.

Service was really good and the establishment is well furnished. Food was okay, sat close to the disabled toilet so not exactly ideal considering there was an alarming number of people using it. Would probably try somewhere different however which is a shame as it wasn't the place that was a negative, just the people who go here.

We celebrated my daughters graduation with an evening meal here which was excellent from start to finish. We were given a lovely table and served by Harry who was very funny and very attentive and made sure we had all we needed. We all ordered from the evening set menu which was a good price and all the food was cooked to perfection. No complaints at all. Great food and great service. Thankyou

We had a lovely clam and relaxed waiter witch in our eyes is nice but I don't rate to food. Salad bar is bland. I had the green curry it was om but to much of everything in it!

Food was disgusting. I ordered skewers and got wet, soggy chicken that tasted out of date with black mushy peppers. Served with cold chips and a stale flatbread. Inedible. I was offered an alternative but was put off my food completely. The only reason I put 2 stars instead of 1 was that Kerry was very helpful in refunding my meal and the salad bar was high quality. However, the quality (or lack of) my main meal has put me off returning.

We went for breakfast. We both had the build your own unlimited breakfast. It took a while to arrive but was worth the wait as it was all freshly cooked. We were looked after by a lovely waitress called Alexa, who couldn’t do enough for us and made our visit a pleasurable experience. We will definitely go again.

Went today for a lunch my my teen to celebrate end of school. The service was fantastic we had rona who seated us promptly, was polite, friendly and super efficient. Couldn’t fault her at all. We had an amazing meal the food was cooked well and piping hope really couldn’t fault it and given the amount of people in their service was faultless. 10/10 for our server and 10/10 for our food.

I haven't visited The Elms since late 2018 until this week. The staff were very friendly and the decor was beautiful. The fish and chips was delicious, probably the best I've ever had! Will definitely visit again. Ordering via the app with table number is so much easier than going to the bar too.

The customer service provided by Chessie was absolutely amazing. She was so polite and would always come to check if our food was OK and if we needed anything else. Nothing was too much effort for her and she was always on hand to help with anything and everything. Great member of staff.
