We came here for dinner the other day and have to say it's some of the best pub food we've tried in Coventry. The portions are huge and the prices are very affordable. Service was overall friendly and helpful and unlike other pubs they offer table service. We'll be back for more soon!

Lovely Sunday dinner with the Mrs and kids. Four different meals, all excellent. Staff super friendly from the second we walked in. The rib eye was really nice and the spicy sauce went really well with it.

our first time in this newly refurbished, but it's gone downhill. They've scrapped the phone app but no notices on walls/tables.asked lady the App's not working but pointed out that we've should have gone to front desk and be shown to a table and then take our orders but there was nobody so we went to our table. Service was very slow. "Orders lady!" Doing all sorts. Moving chairs,collecting glasses, moving empty plates & talking to friends where they should be on waiting guests etc.food delivery was quick but food was lukewarm Very disappointed experience in this newly refurbished pub

All that I can say is the staff you have are a great bunch of people and the service they provide is excellent. The food is always amazing and very well portioned and tasty. The prices are very good for what you get I have never had a bad meal in there keep up the amazing work that you are all doing.

As always,brilliant service and even more delicious food. The prices are really reasonable for the quality of the food. The atmosphere is great in all of the chain restaurants.

Calling in for a meal, staff gave me a warm welcome and I was served quickly. My macaroni cheese with garlic bread was tasty and well cooked, and my red wine was very good in terms of taste and price. The only criticism was the filthy chairs. The upholstered ones were black and shiny with grease, so I swopped my chair for a vinyl covered one which was clean. Apart from that a very pleasant visit.

Food satisfactory, all beit a little burnt in places. Service not given with a smile, unfortunately. No atmosphere, seems no one really wanted to be there, especially the staff. Meals were delivered, we were not asked if we needed any condiments etc, everything just seemed to much trouble. After all we know times are hard but it's your customer's who come out and spend what they can afford that keep you guy's in business.

I had the gammon and egg, juicy and delicious. Dessert was the raspberry cheesecake which was the perfect size. The atmosphere was great and the staff were the happiest, most funny and responsive I've ever come across.

Efficient and courteous service. Surprisingly still could order breakfast before 1200.

Went for meal on a Friday evening. Booked for 8.15 but could have booked later. On arrival drinks order taken and advised to choose food quickly as kitchen about to close. One order was for chicken tikka platter, however when it came it a chicken platter. We explained and the server took it away, however it was promptly brought back and we were told in no uncertain terms that that was what was ordered. (As it was all rushed our order hadn't been repeated back to us to check). We were told twice this is what was said albeit we all heard otherwise. We are reasonable people and understand these things can happen and if there had been some sort of discussion about a misunderstanding between us all but the kitchen was now closed if we were happy to have that meal could they offer a free drink, or take off the difference between the two meals, but no we were made to feel like we were wrong and she was right and the meal placed back on the table before shevwalked off. My fajitas weren't great, had some chunks of red onion on which weren't really cooked. I'd rather they had said they weren't available if they didn't have all the correct ingredients and I would have happily chosen something else but feel this was all.part of the kitchen closing rush. Feel sad as this has been our local for 30 plus years and I have always said how good it is but felt like we weren't treated in a very nice manner unfortunately. To add to the response we went on Friday 17th November.

Come for food and drinks was lovely! Amazing service especially from the two young girls Jamie Leigh and Hannah, they were very attentive and polite and seemed to work really well in such a busy environment so thanks girls! Will definitely be coming back.

Food was good & reasonably priced. Was very unhappy that I couldn't swap the normal sausages for vegan sausages due to a gluten allergy. I had to pay extra for sausages when they could of been swapped. This isn't fair when it's for a dietary reason.

Loads of parking. Staff very helpful and nice. Looked clean and tidy apart from a lot of dirt around the double doors where you put your hand to open them. The vegan breakfast and the meat breakfast were really nice. And served very quickly. But astoundingly they had no vegan milk and no vegan butter for the vegan breakfast. My toast was served dry!. Coffee, black. Luckily I had some in the car. There's no excuse for these things being absent. They cost about £2 each (unless its powdered vegan milk) you can keep them in the pantry for months until needed. At the very least you should be told before you order that these things are not available. Who wants to eat dry toast!.

We have been visiting The Newlands for years, we have only had one visit that didn't achieve the usually high levels of service, which my husband posted about back in November. After speaking with the management team to review what had gone wrong, we visited again had a great meal, as always. Thank you for taking the time to respond and listen to our concerns.

I went for lunch today, amazing food! Had fish and chips with mushy peas, lovely meal. The decor is beautiful and modern, the team were lovely and welcoming. Brilliant service from start to finish, can’t wait to come back again!

Been here many times. Good value, food has always been decent, nice seating, pool table, good atmosphere. Staff were friendly, food always comes pretty quick too even when they’re busy!

Food is good for the price and staff are very courteous

Came here this morning for breakfast and they persistently refused to serve due to being under staffed in the kitchen. Food is generally good here but I was hugely disappointed as I brought my daughter specifically and was well within the time frame of breakfast hours which are advertised. We left with an apology but it would’ve been nice to have been offered something to compensate and they need to look at covering staff who don’t turn up to adhere to their advertised service. My advice is call before you turn up.

Amazing local! Food is always lovely, only disappointment is the don't do the JD sauce anymore, but that's not their fault. The best beer garden in Coventry. I come here quite often and they never let us down. Staff are wonderful and very hard working. THANK YOU X

My husband and I come to this pub quite a bit and are always impressed by the food, the lovely staff and also the very cost efficient menu they have to offer. We are always treated with courtesy and friendliness. Thank you to Lewis and his team for everything you do for us. I also applaud the way they treat people who are disabled as they do their utmost for these unfortunate people. Well done.

It was a Friday early evening and we popped in for a pint or two as it is now out local. The pub was busy with families, after work drinkers and was busy, but this didn't stop the service from being quick and friendly. The prices of the drinks where very good, the decor and cleanliness of the pub was very good. The menu looked good and we will be eating here soon. The only thing stopping getting 5 stars is the toilets need updating but you get that in a lot of locals. Will be going back. 👍

The meal was good and staff were friendly. Maybe a little too much at one point as one waiter kept coming to our table to the point it was annoying. Plus, worst of all unforeseen because events were closing at 7:30 when we had a table booked for 7. Would have been nice to be notified about this in advance as it ruined the night. Generally though are great for food and friendly staff but just let themselves down today. Will definitely try again though.
