Food is all pack microwaved. Staff clearing don't want to be there and don't know whats doing on or how to prepare food and drinks in a presentable manner. Do not buy the 'chocolate milk' for kids. Is chocolate liquid? Put in a glass with milk poured in, even the kids said it was disgusting! I think this place needs a refurbishment as it's very dank and miserable looking but alot could be done with the space. 55 min wait between starter (only the 3 kids had a starter of carrot sticks) and main. It was late evening by the time the microwaved dinners came out. Parents take cash as its full of toy vending machines and you have to pay for your kids to enter the play area. Next time we'll do kfc or nandos after bowling as this experience brought down the whole atmosphere after a great day.

Visited on Saturday morning for an unlimited cooked breakfast with my husband. Nice, clean and welcoming set up. Breakfast was a nice quality and freshly cooked. We didn't see any empty trays on the hot buffet and the continental selection was good. Great value at under a tenner each (drinks included in price). Definitely will be back!

Went here to celebrate my dad's birthday; it's always busy here & especially when you need to order food or drinks on a Saturday. Not many members of staff on & what staff are there they're running around delivering food, clearing up etc. Food was pretty standard despite new menu however when food arrived for 7 of us the chips were almost cold plus some other bits of food. Explained to a staff member who asked if everything was ok that chips were more or less cold. She sent the shift manager over & I explained again & manager gave us free desserts as a good will gesture. Had to queue & order them at the bar & despite the manager explaining to staff member who was serving me that desserts were free he almost tried to charge me for them. This place is ok but I wouldn't go out of my way to go there.

A work related stay at the Premier Inn next door meant a quick meal here. I used the meal deal voucher, which gives a two course meal and breakfast for £23.99. Unfortunately once I presented the voucher the menu and drinks choice was limited unless I paid extra (this wasn't mentioned at check in). It was a quiet Thursday night and there were less than 10 other customers in the whole place, however the service was slow, the cleaner came through past my table mopping the floor while I was eating, I eventually had to ask for my desert after the second lady orders bell was rung. My food was well cooked and good quality/ample portions. Younger barmaid was friendly and apologetic about the limited choice, old barmaid/manager were less friendly. Breakfast was reasonable and self service - fairly standard, but nice enough. Pros: Convenient if you're staying at the Premier Inn, quiet, nice food, reasonable value for money, one friendly member of staff. Cons: Limited choice with voucher, slow service, one less friendly member of staff. Would I go again?: Unlikely, I would walk or drive to one of the another nearby establishments if I stay again. Advice to management: Let people know when paying for the meal deal about the limited menu/drinks choice. Train your senior staff in customer service.

A really nice restaurant inside and out. It's got a great appearance about it. I ordered the mix grill and it didn't disappoint. Chunky bit of chicken, 2 sausages, steak & gammon. With all the trimmings, one of the best mix grills I have ever had. Didn't wait to long either. Friendly staff too.

Excellent food. Definitely improved from my last visit few years ago. We had the Chicken Burger and Fish and chips. Both were very tasty, tasted fresh, perfectly cooked and well flavoured. Quality and serving was excellent.

My wife and I went here for our 10th anniversary. This is the first place to cook my steak right in years. I did have an issue with cold chips but the waitress that served us quickly rectified this and within a minute I have red hot chips on my plate. They delivered in all areas. I highly recommend. we will be returning again with the kids in hand next time

Great family pub with a decent menu for kids and adults. The restaurant and bar is kept really clean, the kids play area was very tidy and well looked after too. The food was very tasty and came out hot. The staff that dealt with us were amazing, they were very helpful, friendly and had great customer service. Will definitely be returning to this restaurant because the overall experience was great.

Me and my family used to have breakfast almost on every Saturday. Nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. Lovely food, especially the charcoal bacon, many thanks to professional chefs Shaun and Ashley. I would like to thank Julie, Rozina, Zoe and Helen for their great work. Would definitely recommend this branch in Coventry to others. Love from Zina.

Not normally a fan of chain type restaurants however I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food at such reasonable costs as well. The fish was definitely freshly battered and a good portion size. Vegetarian lasagne was a huge hit even though I had insisted that it would just be a microwave job! Even the little side salads were good. All our mains were bought out ar the same time on a trolley - what a great idea! Will definitely be returning and trying the roast dinner.

Soft play area is not monitored well at all, there are children in there with shoes on. We were a table of 15 with pre ordered meals; there were lots of us that had ordered meals with barbecue sauce such as smothered chicken, smothered chicken burger and the smothered platter; all of which came with no barbecue sauce on them. When we asked if we could have some barbecue sauce, we were told "we haven't got any" despite me calling them 2 days ago to ask if they had anything out of stock, barbecue sauce was not mentioned; neither was it mentioned before receiving our meals. The peas on my son's meal were rock solid and all different shades of green; the chips were cold on some of our plates yet hot on others; there were meals being brought to us that hadn't even been ordered then they had added them to our bill. The service is very very poor, I won't be in a rush to return. So glad I had a voucher for 33% off.

Way to really help the cost of living crisis! Charge paying customers £4.50 per child to go into the play area knowing they won’t have any choice. Absolute disgrace. Taking advantage at its finest. These are the reasons people will choose to stop eating here and out all together.

We had a large family meal last weekend. In their defence they had a problem with their gas, but the available food was terrible! Not very hot and not good quality. One of our waitresses was lovely, but the other was abrupt, even rude, when clearing Starter plates she told people to keep their used cutlery for their main meal!! No one wants to tuck into their dinner with dirty cutlery. I was very disappointed and will not book there next year when the family have their get together

My son has additional needs. I paid for the play area. Within 10 mins after I just ordered food, a lady who works there told me "go get your child, he is banned and bo longer allowed to play" she said this in an unkind tone, so I asked, "ok I will get him but what has he done?" She replied with "parents are complaining that he's hitting children". Of course mu son wasn't listening as he wanted to play. Parents in there told me he hasn't done anything. I have seen kids laugh at him as my son roars alot instead of talking. My daughter went to get him and she told me some kids were calling him names and saying horrible things about him. This happens alot to my son and I have made previous complaints but no one deals with it and even my son has been kicked, spat upon and hit and the staff never banned any of the kids. I did go to the manager and she wasn't very helpful, she gave my money back. I'm very anxious now going here. Discrimination!

Excellent service from staff, great variety available for breakfast. Only negative was orange juice ran out. Value for money was excellent, paid for two adults breakfast and 4 kids ate for free. Will definitely visit again.

Not a very good experience from start to finish order drinks at the bar after a drink out of the glass their was a considerable piece of glass missing from the rim which could of ended up causing serious damage, a half hearted apology was offered at the bar and a replacement drink, food came two mixed grills meat was cold, chips lukewarm, eggs to hot to eat, how clever is this chef to get three temperatures on one plate!, waitress asked well what do you want me to do about it...speechless. Won't be rushing back.

The service for our PM meal was terrible. We came as a small group and felt like we were left to fester. Other customers were tended to and ask if their meals were okay etc whilst we were ignored. The breakfast the next day was slightly better however with one member of staff in particular, run off her poor feet trying to help customers and tidy up.

Disappointing experience picked this pub for a get together with friends due to their good vegan menu ordered the food and was told they had no vegan cheese left which is a major part of all the vegan meals no apology really so I went for the vegan pie but for some reason unlike all the other pies on their menu it didn't come with chips or mash so wasn't really a complete meal. I bet they never run out of dairy cheese. The serving staff were cheerful and the food came out quickly but I wish I'd gone elsewhere.

I think a lot of the recent negative feedback is a bit harsh. Without sounding rude it’s a Brewers Fayre, what are people expecting.. the ritz? I stayed in the hotel for a few nights so had food here for a couple days and overall it was good but at the same time a game of two halves. Breakfast - the staff on breakfast were great and really friendly. Good variety of food but the quality of the cooked breakfast wasn’t the best but still edible and enjoyable. Evening meal - this is where we drop from 5* to 4. The staff weren’t as good as breakfast which was a shame but the quality of the food was really good. One night they delivered all our starters except for one and after being chased up 3 times it came 15 minutes after everyone else’s which frustrated me as there was no reason why it should of taken so long? Overall it gets 4* from me and I would return.

Went in for the 2 for £9.49 menu and was pleasantly surprised. The fish and chips were quite good, although next time I will upgrade to the beer battered version as it was quite thin. The chicken tikka was nice but ordered chips as otherwise wasn't that big. The food came in good time, my only service comment is that the waitress offered other sauces which I requested but never came. The drin are very expensive as they refillable and I wouldn't bother with those again.

Always know what you're going to get here. We went for breakfast with our 2 young children. Decent quality food, sausages, bacon, hash browns, scrambled & fried eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, beans and black pudding. Continental pastries and pancakes. Yogurts, fruit and a good range of fruit juices alongside usual coffee, tea and fruit teas. Only let down at this present time is the decor. It is starting to get a bit worn out, some of the seating is worn through and needs repair.

Ordered my food and half of it was cold, we sent it back to be warmed up whilst the rest of my food was getting cold. Took 5 mins to warm up a bowl of gravy and by that point the rest of my food was cold. I ordered a burger and they didn’t tell me they had no buns or meat… so they improvised and it was not at all what i ordered. I would not recommend and i definitely will not be going back!!

Food was okay, what you'd expect for the prices, but unfortunately a little let down by getting the order slightly wrong. I asked to swap fries for sweet potato and normal fries came out, 2 lots of peppercorn sauce for steaks that 2 of us were having. Then I think the kitchen realised and sent the stuff out 5 minutes later. Apart from that it was a good visit.

I've visited for work meeting this week. And I can't recommend the place enough. I've arrived in the morning and enjoyed quiet time, where only breakfasting customers were there and not too many. Air con kept place nice and cool on a scorching hot day. Staff was friendly and attentive. Lunch arrived almost before I sat back down at our table and was delicious. I wouldn't bother with the QR code to the app, it's a bit cumbersome, but order at the bar was perfectly fine.

This was my first time eating out since before Covid. The service was wonderful, a lovely Albanian lady ( sorry forgot her name) was looking after our table, she was very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. I had never been to Brewers Fare before, I was impressed and will go again.

First time this evening, and I highly recommend very welcoming excellent service. Lovely support with food choices for my son. this one lady (rozina) went out her way to make sure we all had a very relaxing and enjoyable evening even got my desert personalised which was a lovely touch. Definitely revisting again soon.

Went for a long awaited family meal, chosen specifically for the play area which the kids loved, however, the food wasn't very good, especially for the price, 5 out of 7 of us had a problem with the food, even a burger from the one of the children's meals was completely over done and burnt. Some of the reviews stated the food was better now than when it was Taybarns, sorry but I completely disagree! Won't be rushing back.

Went here, with 8 family members, to celebrate my grandson's 3rd birthday, so he could go into play area. Started off alright, lady took us to our table, she was nice and polite, then it went downhill after that. We were then told they were resetting the tills, so it would be best to give it 10-15 minutes before going to the counter to order our meals. This was not a problem, as I took my grandson into the play area, and we weren't particularly fussy about ordering immediately. When my wife went to order food, she was informed that the tills were still not working properly and it was cash only. This was a problem, as she didn't have any cash, and was rudely told to go to cashpoint. She eventually found a cashpoint that was working nearby and ordered our food. When our food arrived, my son and daughter-in-law's meal was not exactly what they had ordered. When they pointed this out to the server, apologised and took the food away. After about 5 minutes, we asked the server, where their meals were, again, another apology, and it shouldn't be too long. After another inquiry, it, eventually, arrived. We brought a birthday cake with us, and the lady who sat us down asked if we would like to put the cake behind the bar and have it after our meals. Which we did. When it came to the time for the cake, I asked the server for it and was told to give them a couple of minutes, and they would bring it out. After about 5 mins, I asked about the cake and was told it was on its way. 10 minutes later, still no cake, so we gave up and asked for cake back, and we would enjoy it at home. When my wife complained about the service we received, and the delay in the meals. My sons and daughter-in-law's meal were not charged for. This was a nice touch. However, it didn't detract from the awful experience we had here and will not return. So if you are thinking about eating here, I would recommend you look somewhere else and only go here as a last resort.

Nothing to write home about, good size portions, this place is more quantity over quality; vegan menu available

Food was nice, ... when it finally arrived after we chased it when had been over hour since we ordered, so much so poor kids were crying n hungry, and we decided to go elsewhere for dessert. Unlimited drinks are good... when they are working had to report a few times they were all out, and even though very limited choice, still had totally run out early in evening (by 5.30pm) of some of them. Had made a booking as group of us, but still seemed to be crammed up a bit on a smallish table despite better options being available. Shame as food was nice n fairly reasonable and a play are for kids.

Breakfast Rating Only - we paid 9.50 each for the unlimited breakfast. We had 2 poached eggs which were perfeclty done and still runny. Sausages, bacon, mushrooms and baked beans were nicely cooked. The water was nice and hot for a proper cup of Tea.latte was also good from the machine. Staff were nice and helpful. I was going to say the pancakes were cold- but you can just put them in the toaster and they were great. They can also warm the Danish pastries So breakfast is great value - no idea what the lunch or dinner is like though.

The barmaid Victoria was brilliant, nothing was too much trouble. Friendly, brilliant with the kids and so smiley. She really brought the atmosphere up. The manager on the other hand yet again AWFUL!! Her attitude stinks and do not know how she is still working there.

Not the best, come here for a birthday celebration. Table was set out horrendously... Half my guests were put further away from the table. Food wasn't the best!! If I'd known I'd receive the service I did and the bad tasting food I would've gone somewhere up market for the same price. We chose this place because it was child friendly. I won't be returning or recommending to friends or family.

We called in for breakfast on 21 October 2021. We were greeted by a very friendly young lady and given a choice of seats. The buffet was explained to us, and we were asked about our hot food quite quickly. The waiter who brought our hot food was also pleasant, as was the waitress who cleared our plates and checked if the food was OK and if we wanted more. The hot food was really good, the scrambled eggs were very creamy, lovely sausages and really good bacon. The breakfast was also very hot, which was really nice. Love the fact the hot food is cooked to order, and the whole experience was really good, we will definitely be back. Great value for money too. Well worth a visit.

This is the second time I have been here and had a awful experience. I ordered the Turkey burger from the Xmas menu. The waitress came to our table after and told us they had run out of Turkey, rendering 80% of the Xmas menu redundant. This info should have been given to us as we walked in or as we placed our order at the bar. I ordered the Smothered chicken instead, which was by far one of the worst meals I've ever eaten in a restaurant. The taste was bland, barely and cheese or BBQ sauce and the texture was like no chicken I've ever eaten. My partner ordered the three pies and was incredibly underwhelmed with the lack of flavour and small portion size. The pies were tiny, served with a small dollop of cold, hard mash and all of 10 peas. We were not pleased with the waitresses abrupt and confrontational manner either. Will not be coming again.
