Very nice relaxing atmosphere to the pub. Friendly staff and the food is spot on😊 we had the special offer Pizza which was 2 for 1 stone bake and it's one of the best one I have had for some time. Highly recommend the pizza. 🍕🍻👍

This was our 2nd visit for Sunday Lunch since the Pub had been refurbished. Unfortunately it wasn't as good as the first time. Service was good but the choice of meats was not so good. Beef or Pork and then the guest roast was Belly Pork. Also the loin of pork was actually chops. Why would you offer 2 different types of Pork? Also roast potatoes were undercooked. Sorry I think the menu needs reviewing as we saw a couple look at the menu and then walk out.

A strange experience. Drinks in sunny garden were pleasant - good bar service. But live entertainer singing Elvis tracks was extremely loud and out of place - not what you want when eating inside. Also, loud piped music left on at same time as live singer - unbearable. Table next to us left without ordering any food; others complained. Quality of food was good, but overall experience was spoilt by intrusive music and lack of awareness. Teething troubles or an identity crisis - not sure, only time will tell….

Overly pretentious, tries to have an atmosphere but cant quite get there. The new makeover does look good and maybe it will pick up. The only shining light in that establishment was a waitress called Lucy (I think). Very friendly

So if you've been here before, then forget what you think you know about this place, after a short closure and a huge refurbishment this is a completely different place. Hot sunny day then enjoy the huge outdoor seating areas, cold winters day then go inside and cosy up on the comfy furniture, somewhere in between then sit out the front and enjoy the patio heaters. Will be looking forward to many visits in the future.

In the beginning of April we went here for a family dinner. We couldn't book in advance (due to our own indecision) and had to call pretty much close to our dinner time. On the phone we were told that it wasn't a problem. On our arrival we were shown to a large table that was perfect for our party size. The food was absolutely fantastic! Pizza was amazing, highly recommend! We were looked after Alfie, Jamie and Kat brilliantly, the team was very attentive and provided us the best service we could ask for (apologies if the spelling is incorrect)! We were also informed that the pub is adding some more al fresco areas which we cannot wait to check out!

Hired the function room for a private party and it was a great space. Staff are very friendly and attentive and easy going. We had a buffet and the food was great. Simple food, but good selection of sandwiches and sides. We could decorate the room too to make it more special for us. Would highly recommend coming here for evening dinner, just a drink or to use the function room. Fab local pub!

I will be back again! I Booked a table for Sunday lunch (catching up with old friends). I ordered the super roast and it was incredible, the two gentlemen on bar were extremely friendly and inviting. Thanks for the great night, I will definitely be returning again soon!

Nice pub with great decoration. Heated area outside with tiled floor which looks amazing. Artificial blossom tree inside with lights on it which was a great photo opportunity :) Monday evening I went to the place was very quiet with just a few in there. It would be nice to see how it gets on a Friday or Saturday night. £11 odd for a larger and a cider. I would recommend and I will be visiting again. Thanks

We waited for 45 minutes in a nearly empty restaurant for sub par food! There was no mushrooms on the chicken dish and the "saute potatoes were just boiled new potatoes, carrots weren't as stated on the menu, wrong burger (ordered a double and got a single), pie pastry was tough and seemed microwaved, and banoffee pie was 75% cream 25% filling! Biscoff cheesecake was the only nice thing!

Enjoyed the food, nice place. Would recommend burgers, but ask they are cooked to medium rather than well done next time, no choice given when ordering. Will say though it's over priced in general for food, and would put us off coming back. 2 mains, 2 desserts, 4 drinks = £80. Would expect more like around the £65 mark. London prices for beer and wine.

The pub has a contemporary style and good ceiling lights, all in all pleasant to the eyes BUT the food we had was rather disappointing. We ordered Full English breakfast for £13 a head. On the menu amongst the ingredient it says Eggs, as you would expect! When the plates arrived there was only one egg, a tiny little tasteless sausage, little bacon, the smallest portion of beans, I really mean tiny, a mushroom, half tomato and chunky chips! The chips tasted horrible, the oil used for cooking must have first been used last century, rancid after taste. No bread! The positive thing is that we asked for toasted bread and out of the chef's courtesy they brought us one slice each! Wow! Rather disappointed because the place is pleasant but won't go back for food for sure, and for what we got and the quality...it's expensive. What a shame!

Absolutely the best Sunday Roast I have ever had! The atmosphere and decor is just gorgeous (I love the wallpaper ;-) ) Drew served us and he was just fab, so polite, helpful and friendly.... cannot wait to return! Thank you.

Random stop off at pub driving through Balsall Common. 50% off meal offer for this month. All meals enjoyed. No complaints. Forgot to tip, so sorry! Will return. Dog friendly.

Perfectly cooked fish in delicious batter, only complaint was that it isn't a very exciting menu, although we all found something that we enjoyed. Pleasant, helpful young man served us well. Not many other customers in which meant excellent service.

Really enjoyed my meal. I had the mushroom and truffle risotto starter which was beautifully flavoured and was a good portion. Fish and chips were solid 👌🏾

Lovely pub, great food and excellent service. I stopped here for a pub lunch, the place had lovely decorations and friendly helpful staff. Food was great, I recommend the burgers.

Great food served quickly with a smile. The atmosphere is chilled. There's no loud music so you can sit down and have a conversation which is nice. Plenty of parking and easy access.

What a Lovely place, had a meal with my family this Thursday and it’s changed so much since I last visited. The large selection of food was great, my mother was really pleased with how many plant based options were offered, and the taste was just as good. The two handsome gentleman (Luke & Alex if I remember correctly) did a fantastic job helping us with the menu and I was so please with how they treated my disabled father, I would live here if I could, Thank you again Luke and Alex for providing the best experience I’ve ever received!

Recently visited the White Horse for Sunday lunch, we had the roast beef and gammon and would highly recommend it. Roast potatoes to die for, be sure to order a side of cauliflower cheese - delicious. Staff were very welcoming and attentive. We will most definitely be returning to try more of the menu.

Wonderful revamp, great new menu and staff were on point! Drew, in particular, was helpful, thoughtful and attentive making our early evening meal with our little boy, really pleasant. Definitely recommend, great vibe!

Can't keep away from here. Whether it be mid week for lunch with Friends. Or. Sunday lunch. The food is always delicious. Our favourite place especially Sunday lunch. So tasty.

Came for a meal with a friend Tuesday evening, the restaurant was quiet however the food was amazing and the staff were very friendly. The young lad serving us was accommodating despite me being picky with the menu. I will definitely be going here again!

Awful food which is overpriced by a long way. They say they’re dog friendly but that’s a lie. If your dog barks then you’re kicked out. However, don’t worry about the kids running around screaming and kicking footballs at your table and knocking your drinks over, that’s fine. If you want to pay over the odds for terrible food and drink in a below par establishment, then this is the place for you.

New beer garden in the front is a great upgrade makes it so much more enjoyable in good weather to go here. The food was really good as well especially the bruschetta board. The staff were also super helpful and accommodating will certainly be back here.

The ambiance was lovely with cozy chairs and pleasant lighting combined with good music. The food was amazing. I tried the steak and it was cooked precisely how I asked, the chicken burger was very tasty accompanied by fresh sweet potato fries and the pizza was very good.

Would have given it 5 Stars for Sunday meal, absolutely fabulous But no staff were wearing masks. Mostly young girls , one said it was left up to them and no had not had a single jab! I understood masks mainly protected others if you had the virus and bearing in mind the amount of public they see and the other factors, their age and no vaccination I was concerned.😣

Just left here. Meal was fabulous as always but service seems to have dropped. Ordered pizza and it clearly says between 1 and 6 Monday to Friday that it is 2 for 1, so ordered a pizza thinking no more about come to pay and told that I had to specifically ask for the second pizza? If a menu tells you something then you should not need to emphasise any thing. If it says coffee do I need to ask where it came from and who ground the beans? 3 staff on, not very busy, yet sadly not very attentive

It's just about to close down for two weeks for refurbishment even though it looked ok... 3 stars doesn't really say much because nearly all the drinks had run out and only a few packets of crisps left. I am sure the place will be brilliant when the refurb is finished so I look forward to smashing out 5 stars next visit... 👍🙂🍺🍺🍻

Very poor and slow service today. No one seemed to want to serve our table. We had to keep trying attract the attention of the staff, whose enthusiasm for their job was somewhat lacking. I ordered lamb , they didn't have any mint sauce. Rather disappointed and surprised. I was then given the wrong bill I didn't realise and paid . I was then told I had to pay a further amount. Whilst I felt I had an obligation to pay the extra I was irritated by yet another error. I had taken a friend because prior to today I have always had good service. Left feeling embarrassed and dismayed as the place had very few diners so no excuses.

Nice inside, service was ok, food mostly average. Not a great selection of kids food which wasn't great quality. Lovely and very large crayfish salad but very dry nut roast.

Excellent food and service in the White Horse, probably one of the best meals we have hade in a long time

Just met friends for a catch up, was really impressed with the layout, only problem being trying to get bar attention as they requested you not to go to the bar. Feel staff have to be aware of the customer's around them. Other than that fabulous.
