In Warwick for work, sick of hotel food, took a chance: fantastic! 3 mins drive from Premier Inn. Had seabass on cray fish risotto & samphire from daily special menu. Small dining room, I squeezed in as solo. Going back tomorrow.

Soon as I walked in, did realized that I made very good choice to pop down here, staff is Super Friendly and very helpfull. Very compact draught beer selection will suit to satisfy any type of beer lover, like me ;-) As i come for dinner , ordered their very famous Scotch egg as my starter , felling full before mains arrived and without a doubt that was the BEST! scotch egg I ever ate ,"And Im not even lying " :-) I had pie and mash as a main , but it can't beat their famouse Scotch Egg. Highly reccomend this pub , and many thanks to owner , all staff and also very friendly guests.

Perfect little pub by the canal lock. Food was amazing, service was on point and sold the Local Warwickshire brewed larger. Plenty of room outside for a lovely sit down by the canal after a long walk. Really is a gem of a place

I paid £16 for a mixed roast takeout which is pictured, no yorkshire pudding and no roast potatoes, my partner was lucky and did have 2 roast potatoes but again no yorkshire pudding. They informed me when I went to collect they had no lamb so had replaced with chicken which was fine. Food was ordered to pick up at 6.30pm I had to wait 15 minutes as they were busy which again I didn't mind. When I got home and realised I had paid £16 for such a pitiful meal I rang to tell them, the girl just said "We're sorry we will take this on board for next time" 🤣 there will definitely never be a next time from us.

Me and my parents visited here on our little holiday to Warwick. I'm so glad I found it, it was such a lovely place. Food was AMAZING. Staff were so kind, helpful and chatty which I think just adds to the nice experience and atmosphere , especially Bex and George it was so lovely to meet them. I'd highly recommend this pub/ restaurant to anyone visiting Warwick. It's a little gem. Warm ,cosy pub . Perfect. Thankyou so much 🥰

Wonderful quirky pub on the canal side. Very friendly, big Sunday roast portions and reasonable prices. It was rammed with people so clearly popular locally. Could imagine it was a great place for sports or session drinking too.

I have no idea how this is rated as high as it is. Honestly, it was some of the worst food I have experienced - especially for the price (the photo is a pork, stuffing and apple sauce baguette). The young lady serving was rude too, and dropped a fair few fries plonking the plate on the table - and it seemed like serving was an inconvenience to her. This was part of a birthday, and it really put a downer on an otherwise great day.

Beautiful gastro pub right on the canal. Warm and inviting atmosphere, healthy selection of well kept ales, adventurous menu full of fresh and exciting food, fantastic service and great value for money. An absolute gem in Warwick and cannot recommend enough. The pies were hearty and the Elderflower and Gin cheesecake was phenomenal. A stones throw from Premier Inn (10 min walk) and worth every step. I wish we had found this place at the beginning of our stay, we'd have been here every night. Do not pass up the opportunity to visit this charming and friendly pub, you'll regret it.

Great food and restaurant, mist sprayers for outside tables should be considered. Staff very friendly.

Veggie roast was heaven on a plate. The mixed roast looked damn good too. Warwick's best kept secret? Not for much longer!

Nicest food I've ever had in a pub. We had the Calamari and the mushrooms for starters and the Gammon main and shin beef pie main. The food came out swiftly. We were asked if everything was alright when we finished eating (not every 2 minutes). The staff were incredibly friendly and informative. It was just a lovely dining experience.

Have not been to this pub in over ten years after walking down the canal. New owners are great atmosphere is very welcoming staff made you welcome. Most of all the food was great. Went on a Sunday and I had the mixed meat which normally you get a small bit of everything but not here. 2 slices of each meat. Bloody lovely. Forgot to take pics of the Sunday dinner as I was too busy eating but remembered when dessert came out which was top nothing as well. Fully recommended it

Staying in the nearby Premier Inn and didn’t care for indifferent service and food I walked to the Cape. Really warm welcome from the staff, a good selection of ales on pump. I decided to go for the Black Pudding Scotch Egg and the Shin of Beef Pie. Wow! Some of the best pub food I have sampled. Freshly cooked to perfection. If I lived nearby I would probably spend quite a bit of time in this wonderful pub! Great location and great food, with really good beer. Pretty perfect!

Had lunch for four plus toddler. Food excellent and the atmosphere was wonderful. Perfect setting for a family lunch. Staff friendly and helpful. Food is all cooked to order so don't be in a rush, just enjoy another drink from the large selection.

🫤 I rate 2 stars only for the place. The place where the restaurant is located is amazing. The atmosphere inside is spectacular! But that was the only plus during our visit.
