We visited this pub yesterday for a friends birthday, we were a party of 9. The food was lovely but the service was absolutely shocking. 3 of the starters were forgotten so we had to ask for them to be brought out, one of which was my sons (7yrs) garlic bread. When the garlic bread came out it had so much garlic on it that he couldn't eat it, as an adult it would have been a bit much but 5 whole gloves of garlic and what looked like a garlic spread for a child was too hot. One of the party had ordered Vegetable Gyoza, which the waitress brought out and promptly put in front of someone without checking whose it was, when he asked "what is this?" she replied i don't know, and shrugged, my wife had to pass it down the table to the girl who had actually ordered it. When the mains came out my wife's meal (fish, chips, mushy peas) was missing the peas, we had to ask for them to be brought out, by the time they came out the rest of her meal was going cold. Once mains were finished we sat for 40mins with no service at all, eventually going to the bar to ask for them to come and clear the table and take a desserts and drinks order. 4 of our party ordered Sticky toffee pudding for dessert, on the menu it clearly says sticky toffee pudding with custard but 3 of them came with ice cream (my wife does not like ice cream). 1 of us ordered the chocolate caramel cake and specified pouring cream, this again came with ice cream so had to be returned, the woman behind the bar asked "Well, what's the problem with it?" My sons dessert was forgotten again, and we had to ask for it repeatedly, eventually a bowl of strawberry ice cream was brought out about 25 minutes after the rest of us had finished eating. We asked for the bill and again ended up waiting so long that we eventually went to the bar to pay for it. Such a shame as the food was nice but the terrible service means we will not be returning!

Sadly not a great experience this time around when usually a nice pub, but this is the second time we have had poor service now. Arrived and stood around to be served, no one on the bar even made eye contact with us to even acknowledge we were stood there. I went and sat down but my friend waited to be acknowledged by staff. Drinks were ordered at the bar as noone came to take our order, and so was food. After about an hour of waiting for food we went to chase at the bar with the team to be told ten mins. Eventually after hour and 20 mins our two mains and side of onion rings came out (bizarrely the onion rings were originally brought out 30 mins before so had to ask for them to be changed as we're now obviously cold by the time the food arrived). It was not busy so couldn't understand why the wait was so long. There is a sign at the bar to say wait is 30 mins but can take up to 1.5hr busy periods but it wasn't busy. We were not advised of any wait when we placed our order otherwise we would have gone elsewhere. Not all sauces on each table so if you want mayo you'll have to look for some. We then sadly had to rush food as we had an appointment. Food however was good when it did arrive and was hot. Pub was generally clean, could do with a good dusting on the stuff on the shelves. The toilets were clean however no soap in the ladies. I informed the bar staff it was empty to be told they will sort but when I went back later it was still empty. Went to use the baby change toilet and the tap was pretty much coming off the sink! Could do with some TLC. I would like to praise the lovely young lady who did speak to us a few times and even came to find us after we left because my friend had dropped Β£10 out of her bag. She really went above and beyond to be honest we really appreciated her. She also had a lot of flack from some older customers with the same problem we had (long long wait for food) so would like to say she is doing a brill job!

We had lunch here. It seems quite a nice place. There was only a choice of sweet chilli or BBQ sauce (in sachet's or plastic pots) on the table. No tomato, brown sauce or mayo which I would have expected. They have tonic waters on a pump in a range of interesting flavours. Sadly it wasn't working when we visited

Booked a table for my Husbands Birthday There was 9 of us. Unfortunately not very happy with the service. Some of the food was sent and the waitress didn’t know what the food was and just left on the table for us to pass round 😑 Also the puddings was not served with what was on the menu. The food was very nice but the service was shocking. Also had to wait a long time for dessert to arrive at the table and one was missing then had to wait another 20 minutes just for ice cream. Also waited 40 minutes for the table to be cleaned of our main meal plates and then was only cleared when someone went and asked for the table to be cleaned. For a bill of Β£260 I expected better service Will not be visiting again.

Tried this place one Friday night for a change and we loved it. Ordered the garden fence which is a huge rack of ribs which were suberb comes with chips and coleslaw. Been back now four times on Friday nights and excellent every time. Staff are so friendly and make you welcome and prices are really good value for money. Great menu, would recommend nice country pub.

We booked for a 3:45pm early dinner for a family of 5 on the basis we had eaten here previous and it had always been good. Sadly not this time. The garden on arrival looked tired and unkept. We sat down and ordered from a very small Sunday menu. I went up to the bar to order and half way through the order the person taking the order answered the phone! Our three children had ordered starters and the 2x houmous starters came but no garlic bread. We waited and still nothing so I went up to ask for it and was told it would be 10 minutes for some reason? I got a refund for it as wasn't prepared to wait as the other 2 had finished theirs by this point. When the mains were served we advised them we were still waiting on my wife's roast dinner and it was at this point we were told it was a carvery style roast and to help herself. There was no mention of this on the menu and the price was pretty steep for a carvery. It would have been nice to know this at the start because they stopped taking orders at 4pm so we were left with the last bits which wasn't ideal. We didn't complain about this though as I knew we'd have to wait for an alternative meal One of my daughters ordered the pasta which was supposed to come with, you guessed it, garlic bread and I had to go up again to the bar to ask for it. It came out after my daughter had finished her pasta which was totally pointless. My sausage and mash promised local meat but it was exactly the same sausages as the ones in the children's meals but Β£6 more! There were so many mistakes from start to finish and the basics just weren't there. It's clear communication is a major issue and the staff need training to deal with these situations better. They did compensate us with free puddings for the children but, bizarrely, didn't ask what we wanted and just brought out chocolate sundaes. Thank goodness we had no allergies etc as there was no consideration for this. Needless to say we'll be staying away from this place indefinitely.

Booked online days in advance. Arrived to be informed they don't check the booking system and had no record of our booking. No apology offered. Coffee machine had been turned off despite a big sign promoting their coffee at the bar. We went to a pub in the next village instead.

Nice lunchtime snack , upgraded to chips and didn't want anything else to eat later. Children's menu was good and little one moved the play area and bouncing castle. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Sunday lunches are beautiful (one of the best)as long as specific requests are remembered. However cheese cake was awful, tasted like a white chocolate moose for nearly 7 pound. And turn up early on a Sunday if you want a selection of meat

Popped in for spontaneous lunch, hadn't booked, we managed to get a table in the garden which was fab as the kids could enjoy the bouncy castle and play area. Food was delicious , we had a few small plates to share. One of the staff were so attentive, I think her name was Rachel. Overall a lovely place, friendly staff and a great place to tire the kids out

Had lunch with Kenilworth Walkers on Thursday - 15 people arriving at the same time. Our orders and payment were done quickly and there is a very good value lunch offer of 2 meals for Β£15. Food arrived super fast - we were amazed. Everyone was happy with their meal and the service throughout was friendly and welcoming. Under new management - we wish them every success as our first experience was really good. Thank-you!

The food is not great, definitely cheap and also badly cooked. You get grey peas and squishy sprouts, and i think the mash is from frozen. It would have been a 3, but the atmosphere is lovely, and so are the staff, so it gets a 4. They need to sack the chef.

Went for Sunday lunch. What a shame the vegetarian gravy jug was so huge it took up a quarter of the small plate. If I go again will put the jug in the area with the normal gravy and go back for vegetables. They looked delicious, but by the time the vegetable Wellington and gravy jug were on the plate, which was smaller than the ones for the "meat" roast dinners, there wasn't much room left for the potatoes and vegetables. Satisfactory response from owner and will definitely go back. Since I updated my review, owner's reply has disappeared but he apologised and said if I had complained at the time it could have been sorted, also you can keep going back for extra veg, potatoes and Yorkshire pudding.

It's a good while since we were last there, I think the menu may have been going down in some way. We tried it again and it was okay. Play area for kids and on the day it was great. I'm sure that we'll go back.

Good range of main meals including vegetarian and vegan options. Need to add more vegetarian and vegan options to the lighter menu. You need to pay a deposit to book a table for larger parties.

We had the most tastiest carvery we had had in a long time. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful and seated us on the lower floor as we had our pushchair with us. The service was lovely. We loved the play area outside for the kids too, was a really lovely place. The prices were very reasonable also. Will definitely be going again 😊.

I recently had the pleasure of dining here. I ordered the sirloin steak The food was absolutely delicious! The service at the pub was also excellent. The staff were friendly and attentive, and they made sure that I had everything I needed. Overall, I had a wonderful dining experience at the bulls head. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. I would highly recommend this pub to anyone looking for a great meal in a charming setting. Here are some specific things that you could mention in your review: The quality of the ingredients. The cooking methods used. The presentation of the food. The taste of the food. The atmosphere of the pub. The service from the staff. The value for money.

Lovely decor, friendly staff, yummy food. Staff catered to all our needs even when we accidentally stayed half an hour after closing. We ordered food at 2:20 when they close at 3 and they let us stay until 3:30 to finish our food. Fajitas are delicious and a great deal, they brought out extra guacamole, salsa and sour cream very quickly when asked. Lunch menu very reasonably prices at 2 for Β£15. Only slight disappointment was only two choices of cider.

Hi, in answer to your request for more information, unfortunately all our food was overcooked - the batter on my fish was burned meaning the fish was a little dry. The belly pork was a very small portion and chewy - overcooked. The side order had to be chased up. We weren't asked how the food was until after we had all finished, at which time I did say to the person collecting the plates, that my fish batter was burnt but although acknowledged, no apology or action. At these prices we expected much better and won't be returning.

We went to the Bull a few months ago and as my review said it was awful in all ways . The only good thing about it was the young lady who served us . I drove by the other day and noticed it was under new management . We have just made a return visit and what a change . All the staff were lovely and the food very good . I had the fish and it must have been on steroids it was massive . Keep up the good work we shall be back .

On a journey, having eaten here a couple of years ago, we thought it would be nice to pop in again, shan't be bothering again!! Why? I hear you thinking...well, Brinklow, is a rural village on The Fosse Way', nice, it has real ale, as you would expect but the place would now, seem to be run by a rank amateurs. ! We got drinks, picked up a menu decided what we wanted & ordered 2meals, at the bar. 30minutes later, the customers on the next table were told that, of the meal, one of them ordered(ham egg& chips) there was no ham !! They'd ordered that meal AN HOUR BEFORE being informed of that fact !! We were then informed that our 2meals would take at least another 45minutes before it was ready !!! They have 'a disclaimer' stating that "all food is freshly cooked & may take half an hour, more at busy periods" when we visited, Thursday lunch, 1st Sept. there were only 4 couples in the pub..hardly a "busy period" so, that's a pub we won't be re visiting, sad really how a good pub can be ruined by incompetence !
