We made the journey from Stoke especially to try out the new vegan carvery as we'd not seen anything like it before. It was very worth the trip as the food was absolutely excellent (sliced "meats" on offer in the form of turkey and gammon replicas as well as a nut roast, plus all the usual trimmings on the deck) and the staff were all so friendly and accommodating! Will definitely be making the trip again at some point in the near future.

From the minute we walked in the whole atmosphere was warm and welcoming. All the staff are really friendly and helpful. As for the food..."Top Quality" catering for all our needs(family of 10). Washed down with Good Ale too. This is absolute gem of a place to meet, eat and relax. Recommend to book in advance Will definitely go again

This is a really nice pub restaurant. There is a good menu with vegan and vegetarian options. There is also a large outdoor space. They brew and sell their own beer on site. I would recommend that you check via telephone that it is open before visiting. The website often states that it is open when it isn't open.

My family had Christmas dinner here and we can’t wait to book for next year. The staff were friendly, attentive and the service was fantastic. The atmosphere in the bar and in the restaurant was just what we wanted and we especially liked the fire in the bar for pre dinner drinks at the bar. It was a lovely Christmas atmosphere and the food was delicious. We enjoyed the starters and the Christmas dinner and puddings which were all piping hot. They have it just right and huge congratulations as it was their first Christmas. We will be back!!

Wonderful Vegan Sunday Lunch - Full plant-based carvery with vegan 'beef', 'turkey', sausage and Yorkshire pudding! The vegetables were many and plentiful. All the staff were friendly and genuinely cared about giving us a great experience. We will definitely be back! Update: I went back! The Vegan Carvery was delicious, again! Word is spreading and we're going to book to visit with more family and friends. We had dessert this time - the crumble was great.

Bit of a travel but well worth it. Very good non meat options for those choosing veggie\vegan it was more than half the menu. Friendly staff, excellent selection of ales, dog friendly and meat lovers also welcome with a really nice ambience.

Beautiful location, I arrived on my motorbike and I could have picked plenty of inside or outside places that would have meant I could keep an eye on my bike. Although any concern was unnecessary as lots of lovely people were knocking about and the pubs location is wonderful for people dropping in for a quick drink or a long lunch. I met friends for lunch and I couldn't have picked a better location. Gorgeous food, incidentally vegan and I had plenty of gluten free choices. The staff were very knowledgeable about allergies and choices and I am already planning to bring a friend who rarely eats out because of lack of awareness about allergies. I am confident The Barn will cater for any allergies safely. Lots of GF ales coming soon , I got a taste of some arriving shortly. (This only means I have to return, this is a good problem to have). The food was varied and my friends and I enjoyed all of the options we had. I can't fault it at all. I shall make the 6 hour round trip again. It was well worth it. Just off the M1 without trekking through hundreds of small villages but I imagine locals enjoy some lovely roads en route too. By the time I left there was quite a few with nice cars and bikes in the car park. A bouncy castle was there ready for kids to entertain themselves.

Went to the barn last night for the first time and was blown away. The staff were friendly and welcoming and very helpful throughout the night. The food was some of the best I have had. Myself and my partner both had the vegan carvery and it was delicious. You can tell that the kitchen staff are not just doing this for the gimmick and have put thought and care into preparing great food. The ambient music in the background was brilliant and helped add to the already warm atmosphere as well as the cosy decor. 10/10 would recommend to everyone and I can see us becoming regulars.

Amazing atmosphere with amazing food and amazing service. We have had a brilliant evening tonight greeted with a warm welcome. The Barn is also dog friendly and with a huge field on site plenty of space for our pup to run around the next time we visit. Looking forward to popping over on bonfire night.

Visited 14/09/22, group of 12 for a birthday celebration. The location is picturesque, beautiful building with rolling fields all around and great views. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, with great attention to detail. They were also very accommodating when I dropped the birthday cake off earlier in the day, and maintained the surprise well for the big cake reveal! All round, very professional and courteous staff. The menu is classic pub dishes, but produced to a much higher standard than any other pub I've been to locally. The food was fantastic, everyone really enjoyed their meal and feedback was overwhelmingly positive. We tried pretty much everything on the menu between us all, so can vouch for all of it being great! The space is great too, lots of room for larger groups, but also laid out in a way that can accommodate couples, drinkers, or there's even an upstairs space that would be perfect for an event. Overall, great place, can't believe they'd only been open a week as the experience was seamless.

Visited here on Saturday afternoon last week, so sadly no option for the vegan carvery but it didn't matter. A good range of options on the menu, small plates, pizza, burger, pasta to name a few. The staff were friendly and welcoming, drinks were offered before seating us at our table, which was good. We both ordered the double burgers and we weren't disappointed, so tasty, as were the triple cooked chips and the slaw, which was spicy, Everywhere was clean, loads of space inside and out, lots of free parking, definitely worth the sixty miles trip! Thank you, we'll be back to try the carvery.

The best and only vegan carvery around, from the moment you step into the Barn you feel like you're at home and amongst friends. The atmosphere is so relaxed, the decor is gorgeous and the staff really do go out of the way to cater for all needs. The vegan carvery is a must! All of the food is cooked to perfection and they offer some amazing alternatives to meat. Even my meat eating other half enjoyed the food! The pub has some beautiful surroundings which is perfect on a sunny day. I definitely recommend coming back here again and again! Oh and they're pet friendly too!!

Absolutely delicious food, amazing value. We had the "English chippy dinner" as part of their "around the world buffet" special. I chose the lime cheesecake for dessert which was divine! Friendly staff & super relaxed feel to the place. Very kid & dog friendly. Will definitely be going back often & bringing friends/family

Best vegan Sunday lunch I have had! Would advise booking as does now get busy. Roast only on Sundays. Owners accommodating and explain the process well. Reasonable price. Help yourself to veg section and 3-4 options for vegan ‘meat’ (or a selection). They have now also added pudding - including serve yourself crumble. Delicious!

Great food and lovely atmosphere. Very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. They were particularly helpful for me as I have a lot of food intolerances. So accomodating.

This was really really good. Nice homely atmosphere like you'd want at a carvery/pub. Reasonably priced, good selection of drinks and the carvery itself was delicious, the meat and roasties and gravy in particular, all with the added bonus of no animals were harmed to make it.

Returned after a few years absence pleased to find whilst the menu was reduced ghere was still more that enough choice to go at. We had "no meat" pies and have to say as a non vegan they were very nice. Staff pleasant will be back.

First time we've visited the Barn - on a Sunday p.m. Great atmosphere, busy place, helpful, friendly staff, delicious food and gravy, with more choice than other venues of condiments and veg options. Pete, the manager, took the time to come and introduce himself and chatted with us, explaining his family members' roles, having only taken it over 6 wks. ago. Would definitely visit again - my guests would like to try the mains/specials on a different day [only carvery on a Sunday].

Brilliant place and fantastic service. Just dropped in by chance, greeted by Georgina and offered a taste of a few beers, bought some bottles, then stayed for lunch, great fresh tasty food with good portion sizes. Lee was great, brought us some beer mats over and chatted. Will be back for sure!

We really enjoyed the Sunday carvery lunch. Booked table for 1pm. Good selection of beers from O'Neills Brewer which is viewable from the restaurant. Small queue for the carvery meats. Large selection of veggies, roast/mashed potatoes. Lovely cauliflower cheese! We shared a pudding to finish! Service was good even though it was busy. Parking is good and the venue is accessible for those with less mobility. Recommended!

Sorry guys not for me. My food was unpleasant and overpriced based on the quality. Waiter was good and got a 75% refund on my meal. Husband liked his meal and they gave him a free dessert to compensate. Was ok with the response then got the bill to see that a glass of proceseco was £8.95!! We won’t be coming back, disappointed as pub looks great but just not an enjoyable experience. Thanks for your reply. It was so bad I will never come back. I don’t leave reviews usually but felt it necessary tonight as really disappointed. Why did I have meatballs in lasagna? It smelt weird and pasta sheets were hard. Bread was horrible thick slice of brown bread with a bit of butter and garlic on it. From looking at pics I wonder if you used a meatball dish to bodge together a lasagna as massive chunks of meat in it. Barely any cheese and disgusting weird taste. Ruined a rare date night for me and my husband. I asked him not to have pudding as just wanted to go.

Our first visit to The Barn on recommendation from a friend. Friendly staff although very busy service was ok Food selection a bit limited but was excellent. Good range of cask beer. Will go again if only for the churros dessert. Follow up visit today (21/10) and everything above still applies, one slight criticism however is that when leaving it was dark and there appears to be only one outside light which is on a timer. This is not very helpful when you are trying to get a disabled passenger out of a wheelchair into the car. More car park lighting please.

The perfect place to stop off whilst on a long cycle ride exploring old railways :) Food was delicious ! Would definitely recommend “The Barn Burger” 👍🏻 And the pints of Carling you ask ? B-E-A-UUUTIFUL 👌🏻 Would happily recommend this place ! 10/10 :)

Very nice place and the food was very very good. However it was a little lacking in the amount of food I would of liked. Which is why this isn't my five star rating. I would defiantly go back but i would get a starter also. A live band was great entertainment and the beer us brewed on site and was great value at around £3.15 a pint.

May 2021- not overcrowded, well spaced tables in the very large garden. Separate kids kick about football nets to keep your little ones happy. Beer was lovely!!! There's a microbrewery here. Table service, so just sit down and catch a servers eye (even for drinks only). They do food too, which looked nice although we had already eaten.

What an amazing vegan experience. Was worth the trip across the country (by train) to have a vegan carvery. The fake meat was pretty good, a little dry turkey, but from what I remember, it always is. The vegamon was good, the yorkies amazing, good gravy, lovely soup too. Staff appeared a bit frazzled, maybe just Sunday hangover. Overall pretty happy.

After breaking down near the pub international rescue came, we entered the pub and what a place! I felt like I was home, it was lovely and warm inside and staff were fantastic. Well worth the visit next time though maybe some food. Well worth a visit. Shame I couldn't give it more stars!!.

I have a new favourite eating & drinking establishment! All Vegan and all Awesome! The food is exceptional, so tasty & creative. We will be going back many times in the future. The staff are friendly and happy to help. Dog friendly to the max. The building is spacious but still cosy. Back to the food. Wow! It is Sooooo good. I would recommend this pub & restaurant to anyone.

Wouldn’t recommend. We went on a Saturday at midday, service was poor throughout the whole time being there. Between 4 of us, we got the kebab (meh), the burger (pretty good), tofu & chips (meh) and the bratwurst (but they had no bratwurst so we got chicken as an alt - see pic - serving size was a joke). Biscoff cake was ok ish too. Inside is done out nicely inside but was really let down overall - you don’t usually find bad vegan places.

We went to the Barn Pub and Restaurant for the first time last night. Lovely place. So cosy. Great selection of drinks and the food is imaginative. Really like their ethos. We were served by a lovely guy who had just recently started working there.
