Wonderful food and serving! The sad part about the place is the management that decided not to accept card payments anymore even though I used to pay with card in the past. This got me to come less often here then I used to

Really enjoyed the time here. Loved the atmosphere of the place. Staff is very kind and welcoming. We had Sushi and Ramen. Actually this was my first time having a Japanese dish and obviously the chop sticks. So it was a great experience here. This place is Cash only. And gives 10% off when you follow their Instagram page and tag in a post/story. So I do recommend visit here and enjoy authentic Japanese food. CheersXD

If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would with no hesitation! Honestly some of the best sushi I've had, we even forgot to take pictures as it looked & tasted that good we jumped straight in, so this rushed mid-meal image is all I have lol! Staff were super friendly, service really speedy and the food was of a high standard & perfect taste! Definitely will return! An absolute MUST if you're in the area.

Came here for lunch and had a great experience, the interior is well decorated and the food was delicious. We had some sushi followed by the tonkotsu ramen and seafood udon. What really made the occasion special for me was the moving flakes as part of my seafood noodles a brand new experience for me.

I think after lockdown they changed the chef and food is SOOOOOo bad! Only pre-made starters are fine, but the other dishes is not good as before. No beer for tonight and all drinks are bottled. At the end, bills are automatically added the service fees. No asking at all. They just hold you the card machine and entered the full price. I cannot see precious lovely waiters, because new waiters just want to earn money from customers. They may want to know why the restaurant is so quiet, but we know after this meal. Food should be treated better than them, and I cannot agree with their service at all.

Food taste: Good. Cleanness: Mediocre. The entrance was quite dirty, I almost thought the restaurant was closed from months. Sauces cups full of fingerprints. Floor was dirty. Some chairs and sofas full of food crusts and marks. Staff: Friendly stuff, helpful. Price: Good. (mix of 15 gyoza, 2 ramen, 2 drinks £40)

We visit Coventry very often but I discovered here while looking around in google maps. There are other Asian shops around this place. I loved inside, foods are really fantastic, we loved all we had at this visit. Good service, prices are normal. I recommend Takoyaki as a starter, the balls in the wooden dish in the picture below.

Really nice place. Went for a quick sushi and it was 10/10! The sushi was delicious and moist. Big positive it wasn’t covered in sauce like some places…

This place is amazing. I'm making it my mission to try everything on the menu. So far nothing I don't like.

We were the only two people on a Tues night and got the feeling they wanted to close up early. Food was decent if not anything special. Would I go again? Absolutely, but would probably try elsewhere first.

The decor is okay, none of the pictures are straight and the table we were on was wobbly. I asked for a dish and was told that they didnt have that particular dish which isn't great. I had to go with another dish and add chilli to it. The food is tasty but they're stingy on the meat portions in the ramen. Also, there is WiFi there, the password can be found on the central pillar near the bar, on the side facing away from 90% of the seating. There's a sign that states you can get a certain amount off if you follow and tag them on social media. I did both but I guess it's not a genuine offer? Finally, it's a cash only resteraunt. I don't know why in 2022 this is still a thing? I wouldn't be in a rush to go back. Decent food though.

I ordered beef yakiniku bento. The rice not too sticky, need extra effort when using chopstick. Served with takoyaki and sushi??? Hmm.. not very common (at least from my experience), but not bad at all. Overall, worth to buy. Surely will visit again someday.

A nice place for a quick lunch. Ramen was rather mild flavoured but good portion size and arrived quick. Service was efficient and relaxed.

It is in a good location. There are a few car parks nearby and the bus station is quite near so getting there is a breeze. The staff are wonderful and the food not only looked good but tasted delicious. There is a lot of variety so I'm sure you will find something you like, but things a can get a bit pricey so look at the menu before going. All the drinks where over £3 but they were not tiny. I recommend getting any of the bentos and although I didn't order any ramen dished I saw how large the portions were as they delivered to other customers. Although it is a tad bit expensive when you order a starter, sushi, a main, drink and a dessert the portions are very generous, I myself had to ask for a takeaway container. If you just want to eat there for a casual meal it is doable, just stick to the mains and a drink.

Only reason didn't give it 5 stars was because our table was small (for 2) Everything else was great We ordered one of the platters and a salmon set. Reasonably priced!

The best sushi restaurant in Coventry City Centre! Situated exactly in the middle of Coventry, near the bus station and about 15 mins away from the train station. The staff is kind and professional, a special greating for Deborah and Ketty who are really on top of everything and make sure you have a fantastic experience whether you want to have lunch or dinner! The interior has a various theme, the flowers all around are just amazing and give the place a relaxing vibe as well as a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere 😍 The seats are cozy and organised, you can quietly enjoy youe meal without being disturbed by other guests and without having to move when it gets busy! The food is simply great and the price is pretty adequate! I could eat everything, and I loved everything! Especially the Sashimi Platter and the Ebi Tempura Roll 💕😋 It is also possible to find Bento Boxes and other platters, however I would definitely add some combos/deals to the menù to attract more sushi lovers 😉 Love it! Thank you... See you soon again!!! 🍣 PS: I usually go to All-You-Can-Eat sushi restaurants but, unfortunately, in UK it is rare to find one!

At this restaurant, you can truly enjoy the taste of Japan. I ordered dishes such as calamari, shrimp dumplings, ginger pork bento, seafood yakisoba, and more. Each dish had a deep flavor and delicate, beautiful presentation. They were all wonderful and truly delicious. The staff were all friendly, and there's outdoor seating available. Paying in cash also gives you a 10% discount, which is another appealing aspect. Without a doubt, it's a 5-star experience with no complaints, and I will definitely be coming back!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The salmon was so fresh, it’s the belly part of the salmon. Chicken skewers was so moist. The Raman taste very authentic! Service was good, it’s only if they’re too busy it’s lack of waiters working, just need to be a bit patient with them. But the service still good.

I didn’t expect to be this satisfied from the food and the service. My ramen had a nice selection of toppings, great broth and noodles and the meat was soo tender! Sushi was great too and my whole family was satisfied with their food! Our waitress was super nice and helpful.

  • 2/5 Klariz R. 6 months ago on Google
Weve ordered here for delivery quite many times. They serve you with hard boiled eggs even with bibimbap (which is supposed to be sunny side up egg) the yakisoba is so oily and lacks the japanese taste and flavor. Same with bibimbap, more rice less toppings. Gyudon tastes oily and too sweet. The take out ramen arrived with just noodles as the soup is already absorbed by it (better with dine in) sushis are OK.

Went for a lunch this Sunday (2 people) for the first time after seeing the good ratings online (pre-booked). Indeed the decor was very nice, stylish, very clean, the music pleasant, received with a smile, but the overall experience wasn't that great for the following reasons: 1. The menu is a bit hard to understand if you're not familiar with the Japanese cuisine/culture. 2. The waiter that attended our table was not very helpful when I asked to explain me some dishes, the explanation was very brief (as from a 5 year old) and he seemed bored/bothered by my questions. . not bad attitude but not helpful either. . I'd say mediocre. 3. The drinks were most of them not available, £3,50 for a tiny (330ml) bottle of Asahi which sells for around £1 in shops. 4. The total bill was around £50 for 1 starter, 2 main courses, 3 drinks. A bit on the expensive side for child size portions. Maybe don't go there if you're very hungry unless you want to spend +£100. . 5. The portions were suitable for 7-10 year olds. . (very small for the price). 6. The supposedly hot dish was luke warm. 7. Taste/texture: average 8. Had better quality and bigger portions for smaller prices in competitor restaurants in the area. 9. Weird/dodgy promotion advertised at the till of 10% discount if you pay by cash (which was not even applied when I paid by cash). . no reputable company would do that. . It's easy to assume that is for tax avoidance purposes . . Conclusion: Nice atmosphere, average/poor customer/service, professionalism - average, spent £50 on average quality food and left hungry, so overall average experience.

the una jyu is not hot enough, but the taste is OK. soup of the Tonkotsu Ramen is not as rich as Japanese style. sushi is good, may consider to come again for the sushi.

Honestly the best Japanese restaurant I’ve tried in the UK so far, even better than the ones in London. I’ve ordered a salmon sashimi as starter, and the sashimi is thick and tender, and plated very nicely. Highly recommend. For mains, my i ordered a chicken bimbimbap. The bimbimbap was served sizzling, and the stone is burning hot, authentic Korean bimbimbap. The bimbimbap is not oily, and is topped with sweet carrot, and luffa, along with well pickled kimchi, moist shredded chicken, and bean sports on a bed of crispy and hot Japanese rice, drizzled with Korean hot sause paste. Very good, highly recommend.

Having sushi on a 36 degree say is perfect. The place had air con, so it was nice and cool. Sushi was just on point delicious Seafood ramen absolute banging Katsu curry just a safe option Overall food was top tier Decor was lovely Price always on the higher end but reasonable Service was slow despite the shop being quiet but still fine, didn't heavily impact the mood. Wish I went here more often during my university years

The food here was absolutely superb. We had a selection of gyoza, noodles and sushi. Everything was perfectly cooked, seasoned and constructed. Staff were very friendly and the chef was brilliant. I've been to Japan a few times and this has been the most authentic food experience I've had outside Japan. I will be back.

BE CAREFUL - They sell not fully cooked meat!!! If you get “trichinosis virus”, fatigue, mild pain, weakness and diarrhea may linger for months or years It must be my 6th and 7th time to order Pork Curry. One time it smelled like a foot, so I threw it away and got a refund through Deliveroo. I believed it must be a one time mistake since I have been ordering from this restaurant for 2years. This time, I realised that the meat was not fully cooked. A guy there explained it must be a joint part, and it’s not a big problem as other parts are cooked. I started to take the bread off from the meat and I realised that one edge is literally pink. I understand his theory that joint might take more time to cook. The way gatzu is made is this - you get rid of chewy part and some fat, hammer it to soften it(or use a different method), store it fresh, and then cook. Why does he expect a customer would understand their kitchen issue? They were literally ignoring how dangerous it is to keep meat without a sophistcated supervision in the kitchen. He never apologised for this problem. He offered me a new gatzu but I already finished half at that point. I refused it and digged it to find out a small fully cooked part not to waste food. He then said he would give me a discount. And surprise?A waitress brought a receipt with “10% discount” for”eating raw pork without realising”. In my country, I do eat some parts of beef and fish raw. Pork, NEVER!Pork is very very dangerous to be eaten raw. If you don’t want to challenge your life, don’t go to this restaurant or check every single piece of meat you have at a table. I’m sad to lose one of my favourite restaurants, but I’d like to keep myself healthy.

Cash only at the moment, but might just be a temporary thing... Food is always amazing here, staff are always polite and friendly if not a little overrun at times.... And they sell Umeshu! 🤤
