👍👍 Sometimes at night I have to refrain myself from coming here. The sheer excitement when I hear the name makes me shake. The delicate handmade quality of the fish is amazing. The proper British chips can make a full grown man stumble because of its glory. I love you binley mega chippy. People often mention chips, fish, good, staff, chippy, meal,

Seemingly very busy, staff efficient and double check and check again what you have ordered and then served. The fish and ships as expected, however the half chicken almost flavourless, had to add at home. (Maybe me just having to higher expectations) will probably use again if passing but too busy really at time of visit to appreciate the menu and select more appropriate items.

I was in the area, wanted to check out this place from all the hype. Looks very appealing from outside, the red sign with yellow name really stands out being a ketchup with chips colour scheme to draw attention, especially for hungry customers. I felt I couldn't miss out on this experience. Was there at opening time 16:30 to get late lunch, queue got quite big over the hype right away, service was quick and swift so I wasn't waiting too long. Anazing fish & chips, loved every bite of the meal, was worth the hype. Great for a take away meal. As a traveller, eating in would be nice, even a bench outside would do, I ate my meal in a park. In conclusion, the experience overall was joyful and tasty, so a solid 9/10 rating.

A truly exquisite dining experience to be had at Binley Mega Chippy. The chips were truly amazing, garnished with a wonderful chorus of salt and vinegar. Even if there was a large helping of the salt, the vinegar combatted it beautifully into a not too dry, not too moist, just perfect meal. Even the most horrid food critic would give it 5 stars.

Never get what the trend is all about though I live in Coventry. Happened to have a work appointment nearby so out of curiosity I went to check it out. Rainy Thursday afternoon, no queue at all. Took me an hour to get home and actually have the food, considered it was cooled down and reheated so not bad. Not the best fish I’ve had but the portion size is really generous. (Large haddock and regular chips in the pic)

Great chippy. Absolutely heaving when we arrived however the staff just powered through the queue and we were seen in a matter of minutes. The food was good, a good sized portion, well presented and tasty. The staff were great too.

Supremely disappointing, given all the hype. I ordered a cheese and onion pie, chips and peas. The pie was microwaved, and served to me wrapped in chip paper - they didn't even take it out of the plastic wrapper. The chips were stodgy, greasy and unpleasant. And to make matters worse, the whole lot cost about £7, which was WAY more than it was worth.

Thought we would try it out whilst passing due to the on-line Phenomenon and tourist attraction it has become. There were a lot of people singing the song of the shop, we were served by a very nice lady and the chips were very good. Thanks

The upstairs chippy is so good but they have a really cool downstairs stadium that they use for big chippy events, really cool highly recommend checking it out

I was not aware that this place was world famous. Even if it doesn't look so. The first appearance is a normal takeaway food court. But they have so many different things to eat. Fish n chips is the popular one. They have chicken kebab and even pickled eggs. The most important feature of this place is that they give a lot of food. Chicken kebab , fires, anything definitely can feed 2 PPL even if it says for 1. Based on taste it's good not too good but not bad.

We ordered lunch for a 10 person team gathering, each with their own preferences noted on a printed paper. The staff did a great job preparing everything fairly quick and even wrote down everyone’s name to avoid confusion. The regular portion of chips was very generous and we loved both the cod and kebabs. Really happy with the food and price. 👌

This place is not what it used to be. It is getting progressively worse, especially since they’ve been under new management. The quality of the food isn’t what it used to be a year ago. The staff are ripping people off by reducing portion sizes but charging the same amount. I ordered a large chips - but they what I got was actually a sub par regular and was charged for a large! When I went back to to tell the staff they didn’t even argue because they knew I was right and their compensation was to give me additional poxy part that apparently made up a “large” it don’t matter that the other portion went cold due to their mistake. The incompetence is unbelievable - see image! I don’t recommend this place, it does not live up to the hype.

The best fish and chip shop in the history of the universe? Maybe. £2.30 feels a little steep for a cone of chips but the menu to be fair is vast. Decent plastic forks. In dire need of a bin outside but five stars because Megha is a legend.

Live locally, last visit Saturday night at 7pm, chips good, Haddock dry and tasteless, obviously been cooked some time before serving . It's a long time since I had good fish here. Why don't they get you to order the fish on entry ensuring you get freshly cooked as they do at most coastal chippies.

Friendly and efficient service, chips were ready instantly after ordering and were piping hot. £2 for a small chips is a very good price too and the chips themselves were tasty and fresh.

Easily the best chippy in Coventry and probably the midlands. People comes from far away to eat here, I am always stopping if I happen to be in the area. Over the years it stayed close to traditional cooking using quality ingredients. Not overly priced either.

Binley Mega Chippy is a must-visit for anyone craving a delicious and satisfying meal. The chippy offers a wide variety of seafood, including the freshest fish and chips, served hot and crispy. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable, making it an excellent value. The staff is friendly and welcoming, always ensuring that customers are satisfied. The atmosphere is also noteworthy, with a cozy and inviting decor that creates a warm and comfortable dining experience. Overall, Binley Mega Chippy is a great place to enjoy a meal with friends and family. The food, service and atmosphere are all top-notch, making it one of the best chippies in the area.

I was in the area so I thought I would try Binley Mega Chippy , there is parking in the frontage. It was busy even though it was early 16:45 Portion size was ok , I had large haddock, regular chips and a scallop ( potato fritter) It was all ok , average. If I was in the area again I'd try a kebab next time.

I went there as my teenagers said it was a pop culture hit 12 months ago, so I wasn't expecting much. It was actually quite a good fish and chips. The fish was excellent and the chips plentiful.
