Stayed for Business purposes. This hotel needs drastic improvements with cleanliness and overall conditions of the rooms. The room was absolutely filthy, cobwebs everywhere and home to 3 spiders (1 pictured in the bathroom) which I had to remove out of the room. The room had a very foul smell and the bathroom pipes smelt of unclean stagnant water. The shower will block up within a minute of water running, leaving you standing there with water rising up to your ankles very quickly! Reception was mostly unmanned but the manager when available was friendly. Breakfast refunded for 2 nights (totalling £15) but that quite literally means nothing when you've paid £130 for what could only be described as mediocre at best.

A nice Premier Inn. Have their own breakfast room. Free parking. Parking at side of Miller and Carter. Rooms very clean. Breakfast was lovely. Freshly cooked to order. Rest help yourself. Staff very helpful. Will stay here again

Shower wasnt very clean.Room was fine.Did not get a good nights sleep with the noisy occupants and the doors slamming late at night. The breakfast was shocking.Had to wait nearly an hour and the food was well over cooked. Will never stay there again. All the other premier inns we have stayed at have been fine.

The very basic of 3* accommodation. Largely due to the fact that there's a Miller and Carter restaurant next-door so there's no bar, lounge or communal area. I had a ground floor room that faced the public pathway so people were able to walk right up close to the window. The linen collection lorry parked right outside the window too which meant I was disturbed by the engine running and slamming doors. My breakfast on the first morning was 2 poached eggs on toast with back bacon. Unfortunately the eggs were over cooked and therefore spoilt. The bread was of a very basic quality. Thin white sliced packet stuff which was pretty bland. The bacon was far too salty for me too. I was also disappointed to find that the hot drinks machine didn't offer a choice of decaff latte only the caffinated. I was offered a refund which I accepted. However there is the option of taking your breakfast back to your room if you wish. One could eat quite comfortably as a result. The room was typically of the Premier Inn brand standard. Clean, aired and very comfortable, together with a really powerful shower

Excellent breakfast and service! We just went down to the all-you-can-eat breakfast at the local Premier Inn as we had read that you don't need to be staying there to come in and eat. The food was amazing and the choice was great. We had tea and coffee, a full English breakfast where you could choose the items and how many, toast and pain-au-chocolat. You could also have juice, croissants, cereal, fruit and yogurt if that didn't fill you up. Not only was the food great, but the people working there, Natalie, Adele, Monica were so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be going again!

As a wheelchair user I always check and double check that a room will be fully accessible. I stay at Premier Inn hotels because their accessible rooms have a lot of space and I can choose a room with a wet room with wheel in shower or lowered bath. I chose a room at this hotel with a wheel in shower wet room. However when we arrived the room was much smaller than any we have stayed in before, so small that I couldn't get my chair between the wall and the bed on one side or between the desk and the bed at the end to use the other side. The wet room was a wet room with wheel in shower but was tiny. There was no space to keep my chair dry whilst I was in the shower which meant I couldn't take a shower independently. For information: I do not have a particularly wide chair - it will go through normal door widths and it turns on a penny. When we went to reception to raise our issues we were treated as if it was our problem. The man on reception wouldn't look at or speak to me, he kept speaking to my husband, even when I asked him to speak to me. I asked if there were any other accessible rooms and there weren't. He said that it is an accessible room and there's nothing he can do because premier inn only adapted the room, they didn't build the hotel. He never apologised. I got the phone number of the head office and rang them, they were also unhelpful about the fact that no accurate description of the room was provided. They said I should complain when I got home and suggested that the desk could be removed and asked me to ask reception to help, which they did. We coped with the room because there was nothing else available, but it was far from ideal and I think it's important that photos and measurements are provided for every accessible room. We were given complimentary breakfast every day which we appreciated but it doesn't make up for the access issues. I have rung and complained through the customer service system but have been told they have to find out from the hotel what happened and will then get back to me when they can. I will update then.

Yes it's dated, No linked restaurant to get your meal deal. However there is a Miller and Carter next door if you are feeling flush. They did serve breakfast at the hotel and it was possibly the best premier inn cooked breakfast I've had. So 5 stars for the breakfast chef.

This is a small hotel with only 38 rooms.Only 2 levels- no lift - It was very clean, well maintained, had friendly, helpful staff. A lovely breakfast. Was conveniently placed near to shops and a pub next door for lunch/evening meals. Free parking on site. I would definitely stay here again if/when visiting family.

Great location, easy to find, and fabulous, attentive staff. Breakfast is cooked to order and as such is fresh and hot, and delicious. Efficient and cheerful staff on my visit (Natalie, Kate, and Sophie)...

Location great. Staff friendly. Room needed major upgrade. Toilet behind shower. Shower grubby with years of use. A repair to toilet very shoddy . Sold as a double but only had one set of towels. Could not watch TV from bed and nowhere for 2 people to sign to watch comfortably

For the most part, my stay at the Premier Inn Coventry South was very pleasant. My only qualm with this specific Premier Inn is how chaotic the breakfast period is, as there is one person in the kitchen, and only one person operating reception, cleaning, and taking food orders etc. While they were completely rushed off their feet, they managed to successfully meet every single persons demand. I can't recall their names, but I was very impressed by how professional they were under so much pressure. I would recommend in future that this Premier Inn adopts a similar approach to that of more efficient Premier Inn's, where paying customers can help themselves to hot food, rather than having staff taking their orders. This will significantly reduce the workload for the staff, as they appeared to be extremely understaffed and overworked. Finally, I would like to thank the breakfast staff who provided an outstanding service considering their work conditions.

Rooms starting to look a bit tired, maybe it's a few years down the line now. Bed comfy, annoying that the TV is offset to the bed, mounting it on a swivel & extend type arm would resolve this. Breakfast was excellent, really enjoyed it being done as you order, buffet style can sometimes be a bit disappointing

The chef was so lovely! She gave us a bag with pastries and fruits for the kids after we finished our breakfast. Really nice touch. Well done from someone who used to work for Premier Inn. People like you really make a difference! Thank you 😍

Staff at this hotel need many stars warm welcoming and very caring. Over all EVERYTHING is great here except a little face lift needed..Great location. Having exceptional staff with good customer service skills within hospitality is a must and the staff certainly have all the stars .

Friendly staff on check in. We did request a spare bed to be made up but this was not done. When asking the guy on the desk he gave me all the bedding so that was good enough. Easy parking etc.

Just had a 2 week stay at the Premier Inn South. I was told this was one of the older Premier Inn's in Coventry and that is true from the rooms. However the breakfast served on site is first rate from their award winning chef. Of note I have to mention Emily who works the later shift who was great at guiding me round the city and advising me where to get something to eat. She was also very friendly taking time to chat and offering to change my room when I reported a small issue. I have to mention Adele, Natalie and Monica who provided great service and also the gentleman who worked the night shift. The service here makes up for this being an older establishment. Thanks for a great stay.

The young lady in reception was fantastic, with lots of local information on where to eat, how far away it was by foot or by car! An asset to the team. Please let her know that she's doing a great job 👍😊

Great place to stay, staff really friendly, rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, beds are absolutely wonderful. There's a Miller & Carter right next door and city center is just a few minutes drive.

I'm sad to say that this wasn't a good experience. The heating in the room didn't work, there was only one set of towels for two people and only one coffee. We could have complained but having arrived late in the evening after a long trip,I wasn't in the mood to run up and down the stairs to the front desk.

Incredible food. Really exceptional!! Worthy of a Michelin Star (or two?). Best roast I have had in my life, and I am old!! Staff were exceptional in being properly attentive, but talked to us as people. Top notch!! My roast is shown.

Hotel very dated and in need of renewal. Bathroom smelt very unpleasant ( not a damp smell though), shower leaked, paint work mouldy. All in all its very out dated. Not worth the rates they are charging. Very disappointed as stayed in lots of really lovely Premier Inns in the past.

I have never had such a rude welcome at a Premier Inn. Weve used this hotel on 10 to 20 different occasions and the member of staff thst was on today was rude and very unhelpful. Shocking service for such a large company. J now find myself asking do I really want to use these hotels week in week out as I do at present moment in time. I've had a good couple of days away spoilt by your member of staff. Vert disappointed

Very clean and staff friendly. It is an older premier inn so no air conditioning and the windows don’t open wide so it was very hot in the room in July! The bathroom also needs ripping out and a refurb. Peeling paint on the ceilings and woodwork and grotty sealant and a shower curtain flapping around you in the cubicle rather than a shower screen. Also had a public toilet smell and the toilet didn’t flush well. Clean as it could be under the circumstances, just maintenance issues. Breakfast ok, my daughter asked for a bacon sandwich and they said they couldn’t do this but they could give her some bacon and toast. Comfy bed but we would use the Warwick premier inn next time as we have previous years.

Sullen millennial on reception duty did very little to appear in any way positive and certainly couldn't even manage a slight smile at any point. However the room was fine, free internet wasn't free but conditional on providing my personal info: hardly generous these days - shower was strong but tap was extremely difficult to operate, which I reported on check-out. Positives. Clean room - albeit with suicide-safety window locks on the 1st floor ffs! - comfortable bed - nice telly - - - Fabulous breakfast, and I was quite taken aback by the warmth and friendliness of the two lovely ladies in the kitchen. Thanks very much you two, you really made my day and it's down to you alone for my 5-star review instead of 3! I'll be back for more sausages! xx

Very friendly staff & a nice room to stay in for the night. My room was nice & clean upon arrival. It was disappointing to find that the usual Brewers Fayre / Beef Eater restaurants were not accompanied on site. The Miller & Carter steak house was not to our liking, so we had to travel out of the area to find something that we preferred. The eat as much as you like breakfast is fantastic, which is based on site within the Premier Inn.

It's an older, less refurbished hotel. Noisy bathroom fans and snoring neighbours but thankfully the bed as always was lush and the on site breakfast fully cooked was amazing.

The location to our day at warwick Castle was fantastic, the shower could be cleaner as on the base of the shower, great staff very friendly, the unlimited breakfast was a little misleading due to fact they take your order and can't help yourselves like in other Premier inns overall tho a very good stay

Good clean rooms staff great, breakfast was good value too. Only thing fire door was wedged open and bed linen mobile storage containers kept at bottom of main stairwell which was one of the fire escape routes, from first floor. But good location with a Miller and Carter restaurant located next door.

Had a lovely stay here for our weekend trip to Warwick Castle. We came away being wowed by how friendly all the staff were. Having secret Santa gifts for our 2 young children was such a special touch. 2 books, crayons, chocolates and a personalised Christmas card. The beds were so comfy, the rooms were the perfect temperature and the pressure in the shower was great. Only downside was that you could hear the automatic doors downside in our room. Thank you for a lovely stay 😁
