Such a cozy and vintage place! It's ridiculous that a lot of people don't know about it and at the same time I love that it's a hidden gem. Food is great and affordable. Their desserts are divine. For every 5 pounds spent you get a stamp for free coffee or cake as well as student discount when you show your student ID. I cannot stress how friendly and helpful, open-minded and considerate their staff is. Rising Caffe is run by previously homeless and substance addicted people and all proceeds go to fun their recovery which is amazing, because most businesses turn away from people with these problems. What's not to love?

Went here for afternoon tea, I didn't even know it existed. Wow!! What an amazing kind of magical place. The staff were outstanding with some of the best customer service I've seen. The food was fantastic and the scones were like little pieces of heaven in my mouth. I will definitely be returning, for me it is a special place also as it employs people who just need a little helping hand. Fantastic place!!!

Great place to chill and have an English tea. The scones were huge and delicious! Tea was very nice too. The prices were reasonable and the staff were friendly. Can recommend this place! Ambience was pleasant too. It's very near Pool Meadow bus stop so getting there for a piece of cake should be a piece of cake.

Me and my partner have visited here on a few occasions now and each visit has been very good. The prices are very good plenty to choose from on the menu as well as daily specials like different soups cakes and drinks. I really like the design and decoration of the cafe especially because of where it is located built into the cathedral. Staff are always very friendly and welcoming. Would defiantly recommend a visit and to try the afternoon tea well worth the money.

Excellent place to visit! Truly a destination location. Vintage decor, amazing food. Beautiful teas. We ordered the Winston for two. A LOT of food, and not too much of any one thing. Waitstaff was stellar! Glad to know my purchase and visit are going to such a good cause.

Amazing experience at the Rising cafe, excellent service and cozy atmosphere :) the place is underneath the cathedral and it's nicely decorated (you can feel the Christmas spirit already). The menu is traditional with options for proper food, breakfast, afternoon tea or cakes. My sausages were exquisite!! Also the choice of cakes and scones was extra, all looking delicious! We'll be back for sure next time in Coventry 😊

Cozy, sweet with lots of little treats. The food small but plenty full and both my hot chocolate and coffee were great! Not five stars as my sandwich's bread was quite dry

Brilliant charity-run cafe in the cathedral grounds, staffed by volunteers. This place is a hidden gem - food was great, portions were healthy, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go back again!
