Super interesting place. The grounds are beautiful too. We took a tour and our tour guide was funny and seemed to know everything about the Abbey and the families that had lived there and Jane Austen's connection. It's part of Historic Houses so use that membership card or its £14 for the tour.

Lovely place. Guided tours of the house only but very informative and well done. Dont miss the gatehouse as you walk- through after paying. Nice cafe in the conservatory. Not a lot of the original abbey left to see but the house is interesting.

We paid a visit here as it was my birthday. The staff are friendly and helpful. We walked round the grounds which cost £7 each. It was Sunday 22nd October and everywhere was mopping up after the floods but walking the grounds was no problem. We obviously walked across the rivers edge which was moving quickly and was very high. We recommend you visit the Orangery in the grounds for afternoon tea or just a drink and cake it's a lovely place where you can look through the windows that over look the beautiful scenery outside.

Went for high tea and a lovely walk around the grounds. Found some California coastal Redwoods Along the banks of the river Avon imported 150 years ago which was a very pleasant surprise being that I'm from California and a little home sick made my day! I would recommend late spring when all the flowers are in bloom. The service for tea was very nice with a Big smile.

This property is usually open during the week , while weekends are often reserved for wedding or private functions. If you have a historic house card then entry will be free. Stoneleigh as the name suggest was an abbey in previous life, but after the dissolution of the monasteries was converted into a private residence. The tour of this property was, without doubt, the best I've been on. Informative and witty it really brought the property and people to life. All the people who work there were excellent , the only downside for me was the tea room, which had ideas above it station , when it had awful plastic plants scattered around the room, music playing through speakers while a video was also playing on loop. Food was tasteless and bland for what you paid for it, though again the people working there were first rate. Overall , the place is definitely worth a visit.

Visited midweek for a pre-booked afternoon tea for four at the Orangery, and had a walk around the grounds afterwards. The booking was under a gift voucher. You can tell they have actively taken on board previous comments on the restaurant, which is great to see. We had no complaints whatsoever! The sandwich selection for vegetarians was a little unimaginative (cheese based or egg mayo!) so might suggest a vegan falafel or something else offered to brighten the palate, and at least one additional check for drink top ups would be welcomed are the only comments I would make. Otherwise, we could tell the effort was made to address the other comments - the service was very good and we enjoyed our day together.

Lovely day out, lots of walking. Afternoon tea was alright, abit basic where the scones appeared to be shop bought, and came out cold. We were only offered a thin slice of cake each. Nice for a day out but not worth the afternoon tea cost

We really enjoyed our time at the Stoneleigh Abbey , it was really quiet , and it felt like we had the place to ourselves. Dont be discouraged by their website saying its fully booked for afternoon tea. We thought it would be heaving on a Sunday, but we go to a table with no problem. The walk in the forest nearby is also lovely.

Fantastic walks and gardens. Orangery serves drinks, sandwiches and cakea, along with a nice afternoon tea. Use Groupon for afternoon tea bookings. We did not have time for the tour of the house. No tour, no entry to the house.

Had afternoon tea there. Good selection of sandwiches, lovely scone with jam and cream, followed by a slice of cake and a glass of Prosecco. Only down side was the choice of tea, hubby was a little disappointed with the options, but overall a lovely experience. It is in very nice surroundings, right by the River Avon.

We took afternoon tea at Stoneleigh Abbey which was very nice and excellent value for money off a Wowcher deal. The only criticism is that could have paid a little more attention to detail. In as much as the cream for the scones was served in the plastic container that it arrived in from the supplier. It's easy to tip it out into a China glass or porcelain pot and it looks so much better. They should have asked if we would like another pot of tea it costs nothing for a tea bag and hot water. Still overall we enjoyed our afternoon tea. Returned visit today in much better weather. The orangery was great with the widows open and the view of the lake was lovey afternoon tea was great and they'd put the cream for the scones on a dish. Much better presentation. L in all a great second visit.

Very nice estate to wander around, very picturesque and tranquil. Rather expensive to get in (£7 each), but we had an entrance + afternoon tea offer on Groupon which was OK price. Afternoon tea is OK, but not amazing. Must book afternoon tea in advance, though. Overall, really enjoyed our day :)

Attended a tour by guide and historian Hugo. It was absolutely fantastic and engaging, highly recommended. The abbeys history was really interesting. The orangery cafe/restaurant was very pleasant with great food and service. This venue is by far better than any national trust property largely because it hasn't been commercialised and it isn't aimed at children. It's refreshing to see a historic property focused on its historical past. Top visit highly recommended. Make sure you book a guided tour by Hugo

Lovely peaceful setting. Quite an adult day out not much for children but brilliant wide and clear walkways. Enough there for a good 3 or 4 hours. We haven't done the house tour but definitely going back to do it. We did indulge in a cream tea in the orangery which was pleasant. Definitely recommend a visit. Don't forget to do the stables on the way out. Free parking too!

We found here a wonderful location, taken as if from a story, a good guide who took us from one room to another with short and pleasant descriptions, also the services in the Tea Room were good in an excellent atmosphere. There is no need to describe the smell of freshly cut grass and the scenery around the location...absolutely fabulous.

Pretty average. We went to the Santa’s Grotto and the market thing, very cramped market, lots of tat shops, grotto was much the same cramped affair. They had costumed people wandering about which the kids liked but the standout was Santa, very friendly and personable, a real highlight.

Delightful riverside walk, didn't do the guided tour but will return to do so. Orangery is a tea room but was stifling muggy on the day of our visit so had a (yummy) ice cream stood in the shade of a tree.

Visited by chance as just saw the signs on the way to somewhere else. Not disappointed when we arrived, lovely friendly welcome and advised half price entry to grounds as we are English Heritage members! Very pleasant walk around the grounds on what was a very hot day so a welcomed ice cream purchased from the Orangery Cafe.

A brilliant place to visit: lovely house and grounds. The guide was really knowledgeable and very entertaining. We had lunch in the Orangery: not a huge choice, but very nice and lovely surroundings.

Bought a grounds only tickets. Nice walks around the estate. Easy walking but to get the best you need appropriate footwear. The river and woodland walks are easy going but could be slippy/muddy in wet weather. They specialise in weddings, so some areas could be closed so reccomend booking in advance to avoid disappointment. The orangery served good food at a reasonable price (£7 for a cream tea (august 22 price)).

Had a walk around the grounds but you can pay extra for a house tour. Tea room with old fashioned appeal downstairs under main house entrance. We had cup of tea and crumpet with nice jam. Small gift shop. Nice walks around lake. Little pet semetry was worth a look.

A fantastic house to visit with staff that are extremely welcoming, helpful and friendly. Paul, the house tour guide, was incredible and signed in Makaton the whole thing. It was fun and enjoyable to listen to and was so interesting, especially the Jane Austen link - she stayed at their family’s house in 1806 and it provided many names for her books. Overall a lovely day and would recommend!

👍👍 It's an easy for access Nature Reserve Kenilworth Common area in Kenilworth. Accessible from many directions on uphill or in Finham Brook Valley. Cycling possibility and walk paths, so well marked, good also for dog walkers. There are many points with maps and a few trails in this place.
