Coventry is a historic city good if u like cathedrals

I never knew the peeping Tom story so thanks to @jessiesydenham for educating me. I’ll have to return for the Peeping Toms. But I’ve attached my photos of Godiva. I’m not sure wether this is a true or fictional story but good on Godiva anyway! 😂

Went here after hearing a colleague tell me the story of peeping Tom & had to find the statue of Godiva & him. Godiva was very easy to find, peeping Tom was a little further down. Apparently there are more peeping toms dotted around, so I’ll be going back to find the rest

The square is very vibrant and full of high street shops, cafés and restaurants. There was a very nice saxophone playing busker adding to the ambiance. The number of homeless peopl and others who were clearly affected By substance abuse really saddened me.

Beautiful statue of Lady Godiva. Peeping Tom, in the clock tower, was not working when I visited.

Lady Godiva is a central location for tourists & Broadgate has a lot of events going on regular. Good place to visit with restaurants for a nice drink and meal 👍

Nice tiny German market here, shame they were all cash based and hated card payments

The iconic Lady Godiva statue in the city centre with an interesting story. Good location with shops surrounding her and nearby restaurants to eat and drink.

With a German style market and rides, it was a perfect place to take a break from the shops

An absolute must for any trip to Coventry. In the main square these days.

City centre Coventry is a great place to be, open spaces for kids to run about and play... Majestic cathedral with a view, and as the bells chime every hour, lady Godiva can be seen on a horse...( On the wall)..must visit

Great place to chill out especially when the fair is out, it's a good time for kids.
