WARNING: Must book to visit! (Free for members.) Had a great time looking at the demo garden of plants, flowers, landscaping and growing fruit & veg, all in a space of one acre land. As it was a tour, the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable on all things organic (and natural) and sustainability. Will book again in the following months to see the changes and learn more tips in the process!

We absolutely love this place! The organic food restaurant is a pure delight as is the Cafe if you only want a speedy eat instead of a more leisurely meal. We've been going here for yonks, when it was still called The HDRA in fact and Potato day is just one of the annual events we love getting to, so much fun. Families will love it as they cater to teaching children all about growing food. Ryton is a nice little drive for us and if you love gardens and growing then it really is a must visit place.

Staff are helpful at this lovely organic garden centre. As well as display plants there are plants on sale, organic seeds, meals and snacks, gifts and lots of information.

Disappointed because most of the gardens no longer exist. Only 1 acre instead of the original 10 acres. You have to make an appointment to view the garden. No restaurant or any other facilities. It's been taken over by Coventry university. We did manage to see the reduced size garden which was nice, mixture of fruit and vegetables, but not really worth the trip.

We attended a guided tour recently. Despite the awful weather it was a great experience. Beautiful gardens and a very informative experience led by the Head Gardener. Would highly recommend.

I went to the guided tour around the gardens and it's beautiful. Lots of different areas such as the glasshouse, no dig beds, compost area etc. The leader was really informative and the talk was really interesting. We were made to feel really welcome.

Fabulous place. Great for families photographers and fresh air. So many varieties of plants and tree's. A play area for kids The Cafe is nice even the outdoor area good coffee ☕ and cake 🍰 I've not tried the Sunday dinner but it's always booked up so that's a good sign. There's so much more to explore than meets the eye. Free entry in the winter (not sure for how many months)

Fantastic day out, gardens are beautiful, diverse and interesting and the café served a delicious lunch with plenty of meat, vegetarian and vegan options. Highly recommend!

A real find on our journey back. The garden centre was closed, but the gardens and cafe were both open. Great food in the cafe and the gardens were lovely to walk around before eating.

Had a fantastic tour by the Team at HSL. Came away with more knowledge and a rejuvenated love for all things organic.

Great tour of the gardens with plenty of useful advice as we begin our organic gardening journey.
