Not the most up to date rooms, that could do with some minor repairs/refurb (particularly the windows) but the comfiest bed meant we had a really good night's sleep. The staff are very thoughtful and attentive, making my partner's birthday that little bit more special, with a generous gesture from the management of a voucher towards food/drink. I always enjoy staying with Village, having visited a few locations now. We'd stay again if we're visiting the area in future.

Disappointing. Food was very poor and tasteless. Overpriced with a limited choice for non meat eaters. If you don't mind noisy hotels, with absolutely no regard for other guests trying to sleep then you'll be fine here. Issues with the room, issues with the noise and issues with the food. Absolutely didn't provide us with a relaxing well priced stay.

Stayed for one night whilst on a business trip. The hotel is in a good location with easy a cess to other parts of Coventry. Check-in was ok. Annoyingly, like many hotels now it has an electronic check- in that you fill in whilst a member of staff watches who could just have easily checked you in taking less than half the time. The room was spacious and generally clean. The bed was very wide and the shower a decent size. The downside of the room for.me was the fact that the window didn't close properly and so I was keep awake for most of my the night with the sound of wind, traffic and rainwater dripping onto the flat roof just outside the window. Lighting in the room is also quite poor. In the night you get one light over the door and a single beside lamp. The TV was a decent size. Food in the evening was good. Pleasant service and also surprisingly quick. No issues there and good value for money.

I stayed in this hotel on 2022-06-26. I'm only giving it two stars because the receptionists were helpful and solved a problem with towels. The room had a solid layer of dust everywhere. Only one set of towels was provided for two adults (it was quickly fixed, so +1 star). The shower was leaking, and the room itself was a bit worn out. But the most major problem was bad cleaning. I'll attach photos to this review. I reported all the problems on 2022-06-27 in the morning. The receptionist said that it's not normal, and he'll trigger the investigation and contact me later. Nobody has contacted me (I provided the email).

Really nice hotel. Stayed for 4 nights for a business trip. Staff are friendly and helpful. Big bar/ dinning room. Did not get to use the gym or pool during this stay. Room was spacious a few minor tlc defects but all in all a good night sleep.

Comfortable room.. really good mattress and it was quiet. Disappointing food choices though for veggies. Poor in fact. A salmon bowl 'that we can make vegetarian' just had the fish removed. Similar opinion from the whole group. Didn't try the gym/pool but fellow people in the group approved!

We have never had a bad experience at any of the village chain hotels and I'm pleased to say this one was no different. Staff were fab. Rooms lovely and clean. Breakfast was excellent as always. I would highly recommend.

Great weekend deal for price on Sunday. Access to gym, and the food for breakfast and dinner package was easily worth it. Bed was large and comfy, easily fit 2. not overly extra space in room but that’s ok. Bathroom was large and good water pressure. Beware they do give a knock at 10:30am to let you know they’re about to start cleaning rooms for next people, unless someone randomly knocked we assumed that’s what it was. Gave us a chuckle. 5/5. Would definitely stay at again

Rooms decent size and clean. Didn't eat there as was very expensive for what you get. Bar area and dining room was not that comfortable and had sport on television whichever way you looked, which is ok if your into that but really a distraction if you just want to meet up with friends for a chat.

Well appointed and equipped chain hotel that is well located for anything in and around Warwick. There are a lot of food and shopping options if you are using it as a base for the surrounding area and it is very well placed if you are visiting or have business at University of Warwick. The hotel itself was very clean and well organised and the staff in particular were superb. Hospitality is a hard sector to work in, especially in hotels where people have high expectations. Everyone was exceptionally friendly and helpful, from the night porter to the cleaner. There is also loads of parking space available if you are driving, which is free in the weekend - another nice touch.

No air-condition in the room, windows are not opening. Hot, small fan is not helping. I can imagine it is like a sauna in the summer. Could not sleep. Also, breakfast is empty by 10am. No top-ups. Once it's gone, it's gone. Bag management It is a great shame cause it could be a lovely place. Fab spa/ swimming pool

Stayed for one night with my wife. Excellent gym and swimming pool was included in the room rate. Breakfast was standard buffet style but all nice, no complaints at all. Also worked for the day in the vworks hotdesk area which I pleased to find was also included as part of the room rate, and that was a lovely relaxing space to work. Bar was good with quality choice of drinks and friendly service.

Excellent facilities with access to the gym and pool with the room. The room is spacious with all the amenities necessary. Walls are very thin and we were in an attached room with a door separating the attached room which meant it was quite loud. Bed was very comfortable with large on suite and tv with sky sports. No main light which caused the room to be fairly dark- not too much of a problem except early morning trying to put make up on when someone else using the bathroom.

I am utilizing the office facility within this hotel's premises. Regrettably, I have encountered recurrent issues with the coffee machine, which is frequently non-operational. This has significantly impeded the availability of coffee and tea, causing notable inconvenience. Despite my repeated communication with the staff regarding this matter, a satisfactory resolution has not yet been reached. Additionally, I would like to bring to your attention the persistent problem with the still water dispenser, which remains in a state of disrepair. This situation has adversely affected the overall experience for those relying on this essential amenity. Furthermore, I wish to express the view that enhanced attention to the cleanliness and maintenance of the ground floor restrooms is warranted. Implementing more frequent cleaning schedules would undoubtedly contribute to an elevated standard of hygiene and visitor satisfaction. Recognizing the commitment of the establishment to providing a superior level of service, I kindly urge you to address these concerns in a prompt and effective manner. Your efforts to resolve these matters will undoubtedly enhance the experience of all occupants. Thank you for your consideration and attention to these matters. I look forward to witnessing positive improvements in the near future.

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights with my girlfriend and baby daughter, they were amazing. 10/10!!! In the morning we were served a nice breakfast and the staff at this point was top notch. We were served by Samantha aka Sam and she was kind, attentive, friendly and my 15 month old LOVED her. Give that woman a raise! Another member of staff who caught my attention was Paul who me and my girlfriend saw at night time and again was very friendly, funny, helpful and shared some stories about his children which was inspiring, whilst also helping us warm our milk. This was a very good experience the hotel was clean, spacious, has alot of things to do in the hotel and near by and plenty of parking, would highly recommend for a short stay. A very good and pleasant experience. All the best and hope to one day see you all again. 10/10

Easy to find in a good location, bus stops right outside. A very friendly welcome and easy check in. An excellent room and comfy bed as normal. Usual good service at the bar and easy parking. Well recommended.

Lovely pool and gym. Clean rooms. The bar is nice casual place to relax. Great if there is a game in the TV. We had din er here. I daughters burger was burnt, but this was refunded as soon as we pointed it out to staff. The rest of the meals were fine.

Good value for money, fairly good English breakfast with continental options. Room with iron and board, tea making facility, no fridge though. But, still thoughtful. Bathtub okay with warm shower all day. Interior lightings can be improved. Good place though not exquisite.

The room is great if you are staying one night. We unfortunately stayed 1 week due to a family wedding. The rooms are not serviced. They only leave 1 towel. So you have to stop at the desk to ask for the same. One day, they left clean towels on the dirty toilet that hadn't been cleaned for 1 week. And they dont have phones in the room .

Decorated room for friends 60th birthday & despite telling housekeeping we were not checking out, came back to room to find housekeeping had thrown decorations which were not cheap into corridor before checkout time. Also had issues with food but reception deducted all charges. Reception excellent, but very difficult to get hold of by phone & conflicting information on hotel info on TV.

We used the village hotel for a ball function. The staff in preparation with very communicative and helpful. They genuinely seemed to care and want our event to be the best it possibly could be. During the actual event, the staff were all very friendly, the room was BEAUTIFUL. Everything was exactly how we'd requested, ample size and the decorations were stunning. The highlight of the evening was definately the food. Despite somewhat limited options, the food was a decent size and absolutely delicious with everyone being very satisfied by the end!

The hotel was really comfortable, and contains a Starbucks and local restaurant with good food they deliver to your room for no extra charge. Only complaint is the shower design does not have a door, so water will pool on the floor. Not a great design.

Nice hotel, rooms looked brilliant. Seemed a bit of a strange wedding venue. The Food was alright, there was a Starbucks. Staff were good, the bride and groom were a bit upset that they had to clean up after their guests during the wedding reception, but the bar staff were good and helpful when we could find them. I'd visit again pretty certain the bride and groom wouldn't.

Have stayed in other Village hotels and this one was probably the more dated one, however I was still very happy with both of our rooms and the staff we came across were looking extremely helpful and friendly. I didn’t use the pool on this occasion as there were restrictions for kids swim, therefore was a bit difficult to plan around this. The pool did look lovely with a nice jacuzzi. My husband used the gym and he said it is the best hotel gym he has come across with plenty of equipment and spaces. Plenty of parking and a good Starbucks on site to. We would come again. Just need to modernise the room a little for the 5 star.

I have stayed in the village hotel for 5 nights in August, it was the worst hotel experience of my life! - The hot temperature in the room was unbearable. There was a fan available, but it didn't work. I asked for a spare fan, but they didn't have one. There was a lock on the window which prevents it from opening it more than a few centimeters. I eventuelly ended up buying my own fan, as the hotel team did no effort whatsoever to help us. - Our room didn't get cleaned for three days, even after asking for it multiple times. Due to the extremely hot temperature in the room, our bed sheets got dirty very quickly. We also didn't have any clean towels for two days. According to the receptionist, this was normal practice. Unbelievable! I paid to sleep in a clean room, which was not the case. To be honest, I should ask for a refund for at least three times the cleaning fee! - When I got back home, I received the invoice in which I got charged 5x too much for the car park!! The car park is 5 pounds a night, which I paid upon arrival. On the invoice I got charged 25 pounds a night, which was STOLEN from my credit card! After calling reception, they confirmed I paid too much, and that I should get a refund, but until now I didn't get a penny! I have sent an e-mail 7 days ago, still no response. I have called maybe 10 more times, but the phone remains unanswered.

Pros : Well equipped hotel, with gym, pool, bar and restaurant. Very much a business hotel. Rooms are clean and tidy. Bar food decent quality and served promptly Cons: Dart board has been removed from the bar due to aggressive 'lads' which is a shame. Not a lot of options on the on room tv's

Stayed here on business and it was a very convenient location, with modern rooms. The only issue was the room temperature. It was no more than 14-15 degrees outside but the room was stuffy. The Dyson fan in the room offered little respite, hence dropped 1 star.

I stayed in one of the club rooms. Check in was easy, once you realised that the queue of people were already waiting for rooms to be allocated. I checked in through the tablet at the front and got my key card quickly. The room itself (in the 500s) was quite a long walk to get to, and up/down a couple of flights of stairs (there are lifts as well). The room itself was OK. There were some stains on the wall and a burn mark on the carpet and the blind wouldn't open to let in natural light. But the bed was comfy, the bathroom and shower were fine. And plenty of storage space. Good for a night or too.

The pool, sauna, steam room etc are the best thing about this hotel. The bar isn't too bad but sounds like you are in a school sports hall. The room was overpriced and dirty; there was even chunks of mud on the carpet. The breakfast choices were limited and not very tasty at all; you are better off checking out and heading down the road for a McDonald's breakfast.

We actually got married there Friday 13th May 2022. The staff we brilliant. Everything went so well it was all organised by them. Our family and friends had a wonderful time. The room we got married in was then changed into the wedding breakfast room while we were having photos. Then after the wedding breakfast is then was turned around into an evening room with lovely dance floor and food. Everybody loved it. And me and my husband would recommend it to have it as a great venue to get married there. There is also an outside area where we had lots of photos Bonus...the whether was so lovely our friends and family could enjoy sitting outside on the patio area. Great day and night was had by everybody.

Good workspace for the two days I needed whilst traveling. Plenty of space for phone calls with coffee facilities and a fridge to keep your lunch cool. Staff were very helpful with the few questions I had. The burger in the pub was very over cooked and really over priced but the salmon salad was nice.

Visited this hotel as part of a Sunday night offer of Bed, Breakfast, and Evening meal. Really enjoyed the experience. The hotel is easily accessible by car or train and is located in a quiet corner of the business park. The staff are friendly and efficient. Good choice of hot and cold food for breakfast.

The gym has a excellent variety for all different types of workouts. Their classes are high quality & really enjoyable. I can't say much on the rooms as I'm a gym member but the service whether in the gym, reception or the bar is good!

  • 4/5 Jas S. 1 year ago on Google
Great time however disappointed that the club rooms are all on ground floor and a mile away from the reception! They feel very dark and isolated, also shame u took away the sky! I had to ask to relocate to another standard room, closer to reception! Michael on the reception desk was and has always been superb. Went out his way to help me & my wife, great lad and top service always! If it wasn’t for him I would have given 2 stars.

Full of children in the public areas running around and screaming and on little scooters. Up and down the corridors outside rooms until midnight. Need to be hotel 'rules' that are enforced. Room was very nice and spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was typical of hotel breakfast, not great but edible.
