Noisy rooms, had to complain to reception about it. Room very dirty. Made a complaint and was told to provide photographic evidence of it, as opposed to being offered an apology and an offer to clean it!!! Continental breakfast very poor. Basically miniature pastry, full sugar cereal or toast. No healthy option whatsoever. You are hassled constantly for money every morning after breakfast if you order anything else. As a business traveller this is extremely irritating as I have explained countless times already that the company pay for it. The bed is 2 single beds which haven’t been latched together and keep falling apart down the middle. This is unfortunately the worst hotel I’ve ever had to stay in for work.

Not up to the expectations. The hotel reception was excellent but the hotel is not maintained well. There is a damp and musty smell in the whole hotel including the rooms. The complimentary breakfast mentioned with the booking is very insufficient with just a few items available. You have to purchase the main breakfast items like eggs and so on.

Simple, clean, friendly. I read people complaining that the breakfast pastries are small... This is true, but they are not limited, so it's pretty easy to have a couple instead of one big one. I was totally satisfied. I needed budget, convenient, accommodation and this was perfect. It is not a luxury hotel, it does not claim to be, but I had no complaints!

The rooms are clean and well maintained. Very soft and nice towels. The beds are comfortable. The staff is polite. I advise you to stay at this hotel.

Didn't actually manage to stay here so this review is purely on how we were treated by the hotel management. We booked the hotel almost a year in advance for a gig at the Rioch Arena. All hotels in the area were pretty much sold out and prices inflated. I received an email 2 months before stating that our booking had been cancelled. I called the hotel and was told it was for renovation? Now struggling to find anywhere to stay. I don't run a hotel, but surely you would future plan refurbishments in advance before opening up bookings to the public? Not impressed.

The room was scuffy, bedding ok Curtains handing off a few hooks. Cracks in the walls When we arrived the carpark was full due to a wedding in full swing, but once in the carpark it was very difficult to manuver the car to turn it around as a van was parked about a couple of meters from the wall making access extremely difficult. I pointed this out to reception and was told they were part of the wedding party. She would ask them to move it in. Nothing was done during the whole evening. The hotel was dirty in the public areas around reception in the morning when I used the facilities before leaving Walking back and forth to town meant we had to pick our way through bins and rubbish in the street.

We have stayed at this hotel before and have always found the rooms clean and well maintained. (the lovely fluffy, white towels deserve a special mention) Beds are comfortable and adequate tea, coffee and milk available in the rooms. Breakfast was good, we decided on a combination of continental breakfast (included in the price of the room) and omelettes which were available for a small additional charge. Staff were smart, polite and efficient. We will definitely be staying here again the next time we visit Coventry.

Extremely unprofessional and unhelpful! Advance booking arrived only to be told booking cancelled. Reception proudly and unsympathetic announced "we rang your booking agent 30 minutes ago and cancelled the booking" which was after check in time! No explanation given. DO NOT stay here!

Good and bad points. Definable smell of curry/spices in the halls/room but not too overwhelming, room definitely needed a refresh and maintenance everywhere! Disappointed by the dirty/marked walls and curtains that really needs addressing but really it was just cosmetics. Overall, the staff were very helpful and welcoming, shower was lovely and hot, bed was clean and comfortable (which was all we needed) and we were quite satisfied with the continental breakfast. Would stay again x

Not great, but okay if your stuck and their is nowhere else, a bit old and tired

First of all: the surroundings are not very nice. During my stay, it was quite noisy, especially at night, when the cars sped by. The rooms needed refurbishment, and air conditioning, and the bathroom was tiny. Breakfast buffet was small, but sufficient. Eggs were available only at extra cost though. Staff was always nice and helpful and the restaurant has good meals for reasonable prices. I did not try the gym.

Bathroom needed an upgrade. Staff pleasant. Stated breakfast included, however this was for a continental and if you wanted cooked, could pay extra! Not sure if the price reflected the 'quality' of the room?? Location was good. Mattress and pillows hard, so not a good night. Would I stay here again?? Not sure as photos online did not reflect what to expect.

Staff were friendly and helpful, public areas were nice looking and clean. Our room was fairly grotty though, mould in the bathroom and a persistent bad smell, radiator leaked when I turned it down and the window wouldn't close properly. If I'd been staying for longer than one night I'd have complained but it wasn't worth the hassle. Another odd thing is that if you leave the hotel with your keycard, you have to reactivate it when you return, every time. I'm sure this would get old quite fast on a longer stay. In summary, it could be a nice place, there are good people working there, it just needs extensive freshening up.

After reading previous reviews, went with an open mind. Room was small but clean. The Indian food in the restaurant was 5 star by itself. I would come hear again, just to eat. Yes it’s a little dated, but ideal for Coventry centre and parking available off road. Staff were brilliant and helpful too

Really good value. The hotel doesn't look much from the outside but room was comfortable and clean. I had my meal from the Indian menu, which was really nice and really good value. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The only criticism was I needed to leave the hotel early (6:15am) and couldn't even get a piece of fruit for breakfast, as I was told breakfast was only available from 7am. Overall though, very good

To be fair, I didn't hire a room. I was put off before reaching that point. You make up your own minds, but I got the heebeejeebees.
