I take off my one star because : My bad experience I have, when ate breakfast on the hall (eating area is in the hall together with reception and door in and out from building) and cleaner started hovering both sides so noisy for fresh start my day and opened doors with so cold air from outside coming restaurant.. When I'm check in, my room smell from bathroom water tap room 123. Im so shocked room doesn't have bin for rubbish. Breakfast was amazing 😊

Good location (centre of Coventry) and comfortable beds. Room sizes vary but are generally quite decent. I have stayed for business, but admittedly have not ever eaten in, so can't comment of the quality of the food. The staff are pleasant and aim to be as helpful as possible. Added bonus, parking is now free 😊👍.

Excellent experience, staff is very polite and always available. I am enjoying my stay with my daughter. The breakfast is good and offers a decent variety of food. The room is comfortable and it is a great balance between price and quality. Very clean. Missing fridge and safe. Location is perfect, central and close to the train station.

It was close to the train station The rooms were nice and big with great showers I didn't eat so I couldn't comment on the food The beer was canny but not cheap but about standard for a hotel I guess.

I have stayed in different different hotel but this is the worst hotel I have booked.very poor customer service and room is not cleaned properly. Also I have not been provided any information about parking and been charged £60 additional for not registering my car at the hotel. As I named hotel should need to provide proper parking and assistance to their customers and visitors. Avoid Avoid Avoid been stay here or have a worst experience yourself

Me and my partner have stayed here 4 times now. Every time we have stayed here we've had a great time. The location is pretty good in the centre of Coventry. It's not far from anything really. You can commute to Leamington Spa or Warwick rather easily by car in 20 minutes. All in all we will be back due to the great rates. The rooms are always nice and comfortable. We have never had the breakfast here so can't really comment on that. The staff do their best to accommodate all of your needs.

Stayed for one night as was at a conference at the arena the next day. Very convenient for the station. I was pleasantly surprised about this hotel. Really thought an ibis would be a bit basic but this place is good. My room was excellent, reception desk was always friendly and breakfast was fine. If in area again wouldn’t hesitate to book and it has made me change my mind about brand ibis.

I'm not sure what a night here costs (I am here for a conference). What I can tell you is The bedside lamps don't work - though they look good. The telephone (!} Doesn't work so I can't ask or get anything sorted There's only a plastic shower - no bath I am singularly unimpressed and remember why I personally NEVER book into an Ibis. I think they suck. Curious as to breakfast. I may contribute more!

I’m very pleased. We always have to take into consideration what we’re paying for. It was only £60 per evening at the centre of Coventry. The room was clean and it included a desk, a chair, a TV, WiFi and a bathroom. Yes the wall needed some painting as there was a stain and the bathroom was very basic but overall it was clean and the service was lovely. Let alone the fact that it was very quiet (and I stayed over the weekend). I will be staying again.

I had stayed at this hotel as I was in Conventry for work. Firstly, at the reception there were multiple staff members, however only one of them was checking the customers in, the other staff members were just standing around doing nothing. The duvet covers had blood stains. The toilet seat was literally coming off the toilet. I had to report this to the assistant manager, who then resolved the issues by getting the covers changed and the seat changed. The bathroom towels had also stains on them which I also had to report and get changed. It doesn’t matter if it is a budget hotel, at the very least it should have been clean!!! I will definitely NOT be choosing to stay at this awful hotel in my future trips to Coventry.

Had to stay here last minute and my heating wasnt working so next day they gave me complimentary breakfast and crisps instead of drink. Honestly I know its not the Ritz but rooms were clean and customer service and service recovery was fantastic 🤗

When I got into the room I discovered that the heating was broken. I went to reception and informed the lady on the desk. She vaguely acknowledged me and said someone would come to take a look. No one did. But they obviously knew the heating was broken because tucked away in the corner of the room I later found a small electric radiator with one wheel missing (you really couldn't make this up, it looked so miserable that I took a photo of it). To my delight it switched on and I thought that I would avoid freezing to death under the wafer thin duvet. Then to my dismay it transpired that the heater itself was defective. It switched itself off after 10 minutes of operation with a dogged efficiency that put the rest of the hotel to shame. To distract me from the numbness in my feet I had the constant hubbub of the bar outside for company, I could practically follow all of the conversations of its patrons. Finally once the bar shut I managed to sleep. Then at 6am I was awakened by vacuuming in the hallway outside my room. Thankfully I had only booked one night.

Generally OK but the parking charge is rather irksome. The evening meal menu was far too limited and the meals not of a particularly good standard. After the first night we ate out. Breakfast was OK. Staff were generally very helpful and filled hot water flasks for us each day. We booked five rooms on behalf of the Singer Motor Club and the hotel was accommodating in making detail changes as the time for our stay approached.

I had the opportunity for another business trip to the West Midlands, and once again, I opted for the Ibis Coventry as my accommodation. With previous positive experiences at this hotel, my expectations were set high, and I'm thrilled to report that the establishment not only met but surpassed them. One of the standout qualities of the Ibis Coventry is its impeccable location. Ideally situated in the heart of Coventry, it offers seamless access to the city and is conveniently within a 5-minute reach of the train station. This strategic placement made my daily commute to various meetings in different cities a breeze, allowing me to concentrate on my work without the added stress.

A standard Ibis, comfortable bed and good shower. Adequate but not great breakfast, evening meal was basic but fine though they seemed surprised anyone wanted to use the restaurant. Inconsiderate other guests left multiple takeaway boxes outside their doors - people need to realise the staff aren't their personal maids and can't run around after them at all hours!

Diana checked us in. We asked if road closures for the Coventry half marathon on the morning of our checkout would affect our onward journey. A few minutes late Diana very helpfully printed off the details and brought them to us without our asking her to, which was very thoughtful of her. We saw Diana helping other guests. Outstanding customer service and kindness.

Had a pleasant stay. Rooms were clean and staff were friendly. I did have to change room as the first room had a really strong sewage smell but we got a new room without hassle

It's in a great spot especially for walking! Plenty to explore around the hotel that's very much in walking distance. The staff is very friendly and give great recommendations for things to do if you ask them. The rooms are relatively clean however they're pretty small and lacking in terms of comforts, the only chair in the room is hard plastic. The wifi is really slow so plan on using a hotspot. Parking isn't free which is a bummer but par for the course. This may be a one-off but the bathroom in our room was, best guess, a disabled bathroom? The whole thing was plastic; floor, walls, ceiling, everything. The shower was a standing unit that was just part of the bathroom and had a fold out chair that looked pretty gross. My wife and I both opted not to use the shower and wait until our next hotel for our one night stay. Overall, it's a decent value (especially if you get a normal bathroom) but I can't imagine spending more than one night in this hotel.

Overall good stay, friendly and helpful service. Big cobweb on inside window frame room 215, should have been seen before we did. Not so keen on seeing the cook outside the building have a smoke break at peak time and the bar staff vanishing at quick succession for the same reason in the evening. The bar area was overwhelmingly hot both evenings and we had to ask it be dropped a bit as I'm asthmatic and coming in from the cold to very hot was a danger to my respiratory condition, they did alter it right away though so it was rectified swifty. Good selection at breakfast but the sausage was dry and bacon hard, the scrambled egg was lovely and the evening meals exceeded our expectations both nights.

The staff and the bar was nice. The room was decent except for the bathroom which was a hot mess. It was circled shaped and raised from the room itself (why?) and had no air ventilation which obviously caused as mold issue since it made the room smelly. And the bathroom felt like being in the bathroom of a motorhome.

The price is OK, not very cheap! Good luck in getting "housekeeping", they use the pandemic as an excuse to reduce housekeeping, but this is not true, they do not care about your safety, as none of their staff wear masks, and there are almost no safety measures compared to any average hotel in Europe! would be great to have a fridge. I ran out of toilet papers, and my towels are dirty, these things should be offered on daily basis, i do not have to keep asking for this! and it would cool if they come and collect the rubbish from the room "This is not sustainability"

Ibis Central was a perfect place to stay, well situated not far from Train station & City centre. The room was very clean. Bed was very comfy. The shower was great too. The breakfast was buffet style which was good, very tasty. Would definitely stay again

The hotel is walking distance from the train station in Coventry, but is on the outskirts of the centre. Its situated on a fairly busy roundabout so can be noisy. The rooms are basic but clean. The beds are like all Ibis hotels rock hard, even with the mattress topper it's rock hard, if you have any aches and pains they'll be worse in the morning. Bar/lounge area is worn and dark, but clean enough.

Good parking and quite neighbourhood. If you are a business traveller u can work in room peacefully. WiFi abit slow at times. No iron or water bottle makes Ibis get 4. But staff were superb always

A pity hotel not worth to consider for your trip! I booked a room for a business trip through our Egencia travel agency. Arriving the hotel at 9.00pm my room was resold although paid. The hotel relocated me in a poor low cost hotel outside the city with no possibility for a dinner and no breakfast. A great respect . A hôtel manager that should return to school to learn how to respect customer. The manager will surely justify by the fact the booking situation in the city was tightened due to a Congress but there were availability in other hotel more expensive They could have relocated me in such hotel but they didn’t do. Bad choice. What is done is done. My advises hit your way and chose an other hotel

We stayed mid week and arrived at 3pm for check-in. This went smoothly and we were dealt with quickly despite a small queue. On arrival in the car park we checked the signage and it told us that the car park was for the patrons of the hotel and we needed to register our car on the tablet in reception. Anyone else using the car park needed to phone a number and pay. During our check-in however, it was announced to us that it would cost £5 to park for 24 hours - the cost isn't huge but we weren't expecting it. Our room on the ground floor was a little tired - the mirror had definitely seen better days - but it was perfectly clean. The bathroom is a strange inbuilt plastic pod. As far as being functional it was fine, but you need to be aware there is an 8-10 inch step down to normal floor level when you come out. It's an accident waiting to happen. Once ready to head back out we discovered that the room did not lock on exiting. We brought this to the attention of the receptionist who did her best to correct it but then said she would change us to another room. It took around 45 minutes to gain access to the second room and we were given a new key and a voucher for both of us to have a complimentary drink .... Apparently a Gin and Tonic is 2 drinks and we had to pay for either the Gin or the Tonic, our choice. The girls who attend in reception double up as bar tenders and it's all a little strange. They sort of hover and don't quite come across to behind the bar so we weren't sure if they would serve us or whether we were waiting for someone else to come. When they did serve us, everything was written down and added up on a bit of paper. As I said, it just seemed a little odd. Our second room was identical to the first and just as clean so no problems there. We had been told that we needed to check out by midday next day but come 9.45am we had a cleaner banging on the door wanting access to the room (which we politely declined). We had paid £10/person for breakfast and I would not recommend it. It is a self serve breakfast. The quality of the food was terrible and most of it was left looking like someone before us had rummaged through it. Not good. Overall, an adequate place to stay. I couldn't fault the girls on reception, they were brilliant, the hotel not so much.

Would not allow me to cancel a non refundable booking due to being underpaid by work after I explained how stressed I was and really needed the funds back whilst it was being sorted for food shopping and essentials. I will never book with any Ibis hotel again. Lack of compassion is absolutely disgusting

The room was good sized, neatly kept, with a clean and good sized bathroom. Good breakfast. Excellent location. Very nice staff. Only issue was the AC. Either I didn't use it correctly or that it is faulty-it was heating the room when actually I wanted it to cool (forgot to mention to the staff). It's a very good option for the price.

Definitely not like the photographs. Felt like I was catfished off a hotelroom was dirty and small. Very noise with ongoing traffic out on the street. Not worth the £90 per night. 2 stars because staff were nice and it’s handy for the station.

Rooms more than adequate, kitchen absolute rubbish ordered a burger on the first night after work burnt to a crisp and the fries were inedible, tasted like they hadn't changed the oil in some time. Same with the breakfast i would never eat again

The hotel is very decent and has everything you expect from a budget hotel. We didn’t have any real issues except that we felt some rooms need more airflow. The bathrooms are weird and look they are train bathrooms. The cost of the rooms however is very expensive for what you get. Rooms are at 100£/night for a budget hotel in Coventry, madness.

The one star was for the clean bed/bedroom.. I travelled with others on a coach trip and everyone I the ibis Hotel said the same " it was like staying in a Refrigerator " it was FREEZING WE NEVER TOOK OUR COATS OFF ... FOOD WAS COLD/ BUFFET FOOD ONLY . DINNER WAS SHOCKING AND COLD.. Staff said they have had issues with the heating but sadly we do not believe that.... This is the first time I have stayed in a ibis Hotel but never again .. ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING.. 😣

This hotel is very close to the station, however, it is quite noisy as it is right next to a roundabout. The room (for a double bed) was quite large. The pod-like bathroom attached to the room was extremely foul smelling which was the most prominent part of the night spent here which I see is a common theme amongst other reviews. Maybe time for them to fork out for a plumber?! Also, the bed was quite hard for my comfort. There was a bed topper, but it didn't add comfort. On the plus side, the staff were friendly. For the price, I suggest perhaps another hotel nearby as there are others in the vicinity for a similar price.
