We
stayed
mid
week
and
arrived
at
3pm
for
check-in.
This
went
smoothly
and
we
were
dealt
with
quickly
despite
a
small
queue.
On
arrival
in
the
car
park
we
checked
the
signage
and
it
told
us
that
the
car
park
was
for
the
patrons
of
the
hotel
and
we
needed
to
register
our
car
on
the
tablet
in
reception.
Anyone
else
using
the
car
park
needed
to
phone
a
number
and
pay.
During
our
check-in
however,
it
was
announced
to
us
that
it
would
cost
£5
to
park
for
24
hours
-
the
cost
isn't
huge
but
we
weren't
expecting
it.
Our
room
on
the
ground
floor
was
a
little
tired
-
the
mirror
had
definitely
seen
better
days
-
but
it
was
perfectly
clean.
The
bathroom
is
a
strange
inbuilt
plastic
pod.
As
far
as
being
functional
it
was
fine,
but
you
need
to
be
aware
there
is
an
8-10
inch
step
down
to
normal
floor
level
when
you
come
out.
It's
an
accident
waiting
to
happen.
Once
ready
to
head
back
out
we
discovered
that
the
room
did
not
lock
on
exiting.
We
brought
this
to
the
attention
of
the
receptionist
who
did
her
best
to
correct
it
but
then
said
she
would
change
us
to
another
room.
It
took
around
45
minutes
to
gain
access
to
the
second
room
and
we
were
given
a
new
key
and
a
voucher
for
both
of
us
to
have
a
complimentary
drink
....
Apparently
a
Gin
and
Tonic
is
2
drinks
and
we
had
to
pay
for
either
the
Gin
or
the
Tonic,
our
choice.
The
girls
who
attend
in
reception
double
up
as
bar
tenders
and
it's
all
a
little
strange.
They
sort
of
hover
and
don't
quite
come
across
to
behind
the
bar
so
we
weren't
sure
if
they
would
serve
us
or
whether
we
were
waiting
for
someone
else
to
come.
When
they
did
serve
us,
everything
was
written
down
and
added
up
on
a
bit
of
paper.
As
I
said,
it
just
seemed
a
little
odd.
Our
second
room
was
identical
to
the
first
and
just
as
clean
so
no
problems
there.
We
had
been
told
that
we
needed
to
check
out
by
midday
next
day
but
come
9.45am
we
had
a
cleaner
banging
on
the
door
wanting
access
to
the
room
(which
we
politely
declined).
We
had
paid
£10/person
for
breakfast
and
I
would
not
recommend
it.
It
is
a
self
serve
breakfast.
The
quality
of
the
food
was
terrible
and
most
of
it
was
left
looking
like
someone
before
us
had
rummaged
through
it.
Not
good.
Overall,
an
adequate
place
to
stay.
I
couldn't
fault
the
girls
on
reception,
they
were
brilliant,
the
hotel
not
so
much.
