Filthy tables and floor, the staff looked scruffy and carried the food out with a filthy teatowel or bare hands and then served our drinks with greasy fingermarks on the glasses. None of them washed their hands the whole time we were there and were wearing their masks under their nose ! We had to send our food back it looked and tasted disgusting. We were told that the new manager had taken over a few weeks ago, they should have cleaned the place before they opened it and given the staff some training, their hygeine would not have been acceptable under normal circumstances let alone during covid .

Food okay, had pate starters had to wait for cutlery as waitress got side tracked taking an order. Daughter ordered sausage and mash. Green beans missing. Cider comes in a gin glass? Staff lovely but more training required.... .

From your luggage collected from your car, Perfectly clean rooms, amazing staff to food to die for this is one of the best places I have stayed for. It is so nice to stay in a hotel where the customer is the focus. Oh, and the shower is so powerful I wish I had it at home.

The staff are amazing, really friendly and professional. First time I have stayed here and will defiantly stay here again. Nothing was too much trouble at all. When I arrived the gave me a key card and the code for the Internet. I asked for a fan and an extra pillow which was no hassle the the staff member that was dealing with us. The quality on the food when we had breakfast was fantastic. I have really enjoyed the stay. The rooms were really hot so I was fab to come into the airconed bar and enjoy a nice cold drink in this hot weather that we have been having. Would recommend anybody trying out this restaurant. Had the afternoon tea which was really good, great selection of sandwiches and cakes, also a homemade sausage roll and trifles! Excellent value for money. My only criticism, it was a very large restaurant and it seemed as if we were all put in one area when we could have been spread out a bit better to feel safer.

Atmosphere, food, service and staff all superb. Best Sunday dinner I've had in many years. Special.shout out to Sophie and Jenna, who were amazing. Highly recommended, we'll be going again.

My bf and I stayed here this weekend and had such a great stay. He had prepped things to get sent to the room and they had it all ready in there. We went down for a (very yummy) meal in the restaurant and it was busy, but everything was Covid safe. The staff were wonderful and the owners were very welcoming. There’s a great atmosphere in there and that goes to the owners and friendly staff. Thanks for a great stay. I’m sorry that new Covid rules may effect you! It’s terrible and we really hope the best for your business. P.S. any vegans dining here in future want to try their falafel burger :)

This place doesn't deserve even 1 star. We booked and paid to stay at this place in August (bed and breakfast) as meeting family for a 50th Birthday celebration. On arrival there was no one to book us in at reception, a lady had to leave the bar to book us in. We go to our room and it was ok, nothing special just ok which wasn't major as we were going out for the evening. The following morning we went down to breakfast and there wasn't any. We search the hotel to find someone, no one around. We telephoned the hotel numerous time to speak to someone, no answer. In the end we left putting the key behind reception. We have emailed the hotel lots of times to which we have only received one reply saying that she would look into it on her return from HOLIDAY!!!!! Guess what, after chasing many times still no response. We paid for breakfast and there wasn't any!! We will stay clear of this place and suggest you do as well :-(

There should be an intercom with the bar at reception as I waited for a little while and was not checked in quick. Room is nice but they are mid renovation. Curious to come back when they are all done with it. Staff I did meet were very friendly and couldn't fault them in their hospitality on else I'd made initial contact with them. Would happily stay here again.
