Lovely country pub on the canal. Lots of outside tables on patio and lawn at the back. Not eaten here in a while but remember the food being good. Purity beers on tap as well as the normal selections of lagers/ciders etc.

Dirty tables, young inexperienced staff, overpriced mediocre food. £14 for the smallest of chicken and chips that I wasn't as enjoyable as the last one I got down the local fish and chip shop. Just putting the chips in a pot and adding a few simple dips does nothing to enhance the meal. A real disappointment to previous visits a few years previous. The only exception was the young girl working the bar who was taking the lead, sorry can't remember her name. She was very pleasant and helpful but unfortunately, this alone could not offset the other negatives and we won't be visiting again.

I visited with my wife, sister and her husband. I hope the images convey the wonderful atmosphere we felt upon entering the restaurant. The staff have an air of calmness and treated my wife with patience and and understanding not often found in some establishments. The entire staff we came into contact with were wonderful. The service was not rushed. The food was excellent and I can thoroughly recommend the menu. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience.

Beautiful atmosphere, great service and very friendly staff. They went above and beyond to accommodate us (10 ppl) for some drinks and nibbles after being refused by their neighbour pub ( even though made reservation 3 hours prior to attendance). Overall, our new favourite canal view garden pub. Fabulous!!

We visited here for a meal on Saturday at 5:30pm, having prebooked a few days in advance. Welcoming atmosphere in the restaurant area, lights were dimly lit and decor was lovely, it really created an intimate atmosphere. We ordered our chosen dishes only to be told 4 or 5 of them were off the night! Not the first time we have heard this from our friends. It's not particularly surprising as the menu is huge, maybe too big to be sustainable? Having said that, the food that we did get was really tasty and the service was very good.

Everything was great. I booked a surprise meal for my mums birthday, there was 14 of us. Reece was our server and he really looked after us and brought out the birthday cake too. The food was delicious and served within great time and everyone enjoyed it. All staff were welcoming. We all had a wonderful time, thank you.

Came in with my husband the last week for the second time, it was even better than the first. The food was incredible and the service was even better. Charlie our waitress was very welcoming and knew what she was doing perfectly. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

The food really was not worth the cost. Spent just under £16 for the vegetarian burger (pictured). This didn't come with fries - we didn't order separately as they were an additional £6 and I haven't had a burger before which has not been served with fries as a default. Atmosphere and location were good but sadly didn't make up for the overpriced and uninspiring food.

Attended with a large birthday party of 20 people. Service was excellent, considering how many of us there were. I wish I’d ordered the lamb which looked amazing, because my rotisserie chicken was a bit dried out, nothing special - they did provide gravy so I drowned my chook in that. We had pavlova for pudding it was honestly the best pudding I’ve had in a pub, ever. Pub decor is amazing, not the usual pub decor, it’s lavish, luxurious, but it’s trendily dimly lit so be warned if you have sight problems. We had a party member who is disabled and uses crutches and she managed just fine in there. But we had plenty of room, we weren’t crammed in. Toilets great, clean and luxurious.

The best ribeye I’ve had!! Our sever dom was welcoming and accommodating, attending to all our needs with quick service. Matthew the bartender made up top notch mojitos at his recommendation. Credit to chef Tom for cooking the ribeye to perfection!! I will definitely be returning!

I've eaten here a few times and the food is good, but it's let down by the small sides accompanying the main meal. The veg was dry and looked like it had been reheated in a microwave. The pork belly and pie was very nice, but you need more veg and mash. The veg needs to be fresher considering you're paying close to £20 for a main.

I cannot say enough about this venue, the venue is set on a beautiful rural canal side location and the building has recent undergone a huge revamp, it’s very posh and quirky! The Guiness is one of the best pints I’ve had. The first night I had the chicken burger which was really tender, then the following evening I had the 10oz steak which was cooked to absolute perfection so the knife just glided through it like butter and was the perfect pink for a medium rare steak. The full English breakfast in the morning was absolutely spot on too. The staff are very polite, friendly and attentive to the customers, and the best thing is it’s one of the most dog friendly pub/restaurants I’ve been. The hotel upstairs is absolutely beautiful and immaculate, the beds and everything are brand new and one of the best nights sleep I’ve had in ages, I didn’t hear a sound all night. It’s most definitely one of the best places I’ve been for a pint. When you consider the location, food and the fantastic service, it’s very well priced! I’ll definitely be coming back for a pint, highly recommend! Oh and did I say it’s really dog friendly!!

Amazing Pub restaurant with rooms just outside beautiful Knowle village on a pretty canal with outdoor canalside seating too. Beautiful modern but cosy traditional decor, lovely staff, great friendly welcome, so nice, lovely bedrooms, hypnos beds, spotlessly clean, cosy, nice food and wine just 15 minutes from NEC - I am choosy but this was really suberb!!! Faultless pleasant stay. Great attention to detail, nice menu too. Very rare find well done great value for money too

Lovely afternoon spent canalside ,in the sun. Booking was easy on line. The menu looks great. Service was good. When outside can take a little while for them to bring cutlery etc. The food was delicious.

Stayed here for two nights, rooms were clean, bathroom was also clean and the shower was hot. All staff very friendly and helpful, bartender made a mean Old Fashioned and was a good dude. Food was really good, as was the dining area and the beer garden overlooking the canal. I would stay here again.

The food and menu choice was superb. Stefan, our waiter was courteous and friendly and a definite asset to your establishment. Sorry to say that the recent refurbishment didn’t particularly “wow”…. The “oyster “shell seating was cramped and extremely uncomfortable, as was the lack of blinds when the low sunshine streamed through windows. Fortunately we were able to be relocated in the other area where we enjoyed a lovely lunch with old friends. (Surprised that the Ladies toilet doors hadn't had a lick of paint!)

Recently came here for a meal with my mum after the long awaited refurbishment, we have been here before and the food has had a massive upgrade compared to before. The atmosphere was great and made a difference to hear some good music in the background it feels a lot more prestige now with the fancy decor in contrast to before where it was just a usual pub. Marie who was our waitress, checked with us that we had any allergies and was able to cater to my needs when I stated my allergies, she was really helpful and nice with our visit. We’re going to definitely be coming back for another meal and of course some more drinks in the near future.

A party of 6 all found the choice of food was good. The food and service were excellent, although one thought his fish was slightly overcooked. The decor and surroundings were very pleasant. If we are in the area again we will definitely come back again. Thank you

Had a lovely pub lunch here after a walk by the canal. Lovely spot to relax and chat whilst watching the boats cruise by. Food was well cooked and portions large. Standouts were the halloumi fries and chicken, brie and bacon pie. Great service by the young team, especially Zak who looked after us on the table - polite and attentive. We will be back!

Delicious dishes and a good selection of drinks at this country canal side pub. The king's arms is a must visit. The staff are super friendly and are very attentive to all our needs. The canal side is a particular highlight where you can relax on a Sunday afternoon in the sun or under the umbrellas. Expect to pay £14-15 for a roast on a Sunday.
