Awesome poutine and ribs, best I've tasted in UK. Also a nice laid back vibe and good choice of beers to choose from. Recommend a visit if down the Leicester way.

Came here for the Sausage & Cider Festival. Place was busy with a lovely beer garden which included a roof terrace. Cider selection was really good and we tried several options. Staff were nice and manager was very helpful. Food itself was very nice but not worth the price, way overpriced for how much you get. Also another dog friendly venue.

My favourite pub in town. Excellent use of the outdoor space, classy looking without being overly pretentious. Never had an altercation with a tosser here, good people drink here. One time I fell over on a night out and dislocated shoulder. Left my keys on pub table and these wonderful people took them to their sister pub, as the R&D is closed Sunday, so I managed to get them back when I was discharged. GO THERE NOW AND DRINK!!

This public house has a great atmosphere, very nice staff and a great selection of lagers,beers and spirits, all at a reasonable price. I haven't eaten here but the food looks top quality and next time I visit I will partake of some

Fantastic place so much so I made it my wedding venue ! You always get a great pint at the R&D no matter whether it's Allie, Joe, Kai or anyone else pouring the pints. Always top notch thanks team!!!!!

We called in here for dinner and drink’s over the weekend and were very pleased with our choice. The quality of the food being delivered to tables around us and the variety in their menu made it difficult to make a choice. However, the offer of the wings and ribs was too hard to pass up and I'm happy to say it was melt in your mouth delicious served with possibly the best chips I have ever had. My partner ordered some Poutine and everything was cooked to order and served hot and delivered with a smile from ear to ear. Our drinks were cold and delivered quickly, I ordered a Guinness that was poured to perfection so much so, we stayed late after our meal to enjoy the environment and some further drinks. A couple of chaps behind the bar Joe and Marseille were fantastic! Later in the evening I even managed to speak with the chef Sam! Although he didn’t reveal the trade secrets for the great food. Went before and after the Leicester West Ham game. Pub was busy staff were efficient and friendly, very good beer. Hope Leicester make a quick return so we can go back in 2024 25

Great little hidden gem of a pub in the city. Food was great and seasonal, and I had the turkey poutine. It hit the right spot on a very cold December day. However, the only downside was that the place wasn't as warm and cosy as it should have been. Some of the other customers also thought this as they kept their winter coats on whilst having lunch.

Came for a birthday on the terrace and unfortunately it started raining. The staff were so helpful and kind in relocating us inside so we still had a great time. The atmosphere was lively but felt safe and everyone including staff was in great spirits. The drinks were really nice and the food too.

A great place for a drink because of the amazing atmosphere and staff. Especially Marceli was amazing, always had a smile on his face and makes you feel welcome by have a friendly conversation with you. Will definitely come back again with that kind of service

22 people catered for with no prior notice.The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Great choice of drinks too. I cannot praise The Rutland and Derby Arms highly enough.

Lovely place. There is something about this pub that feel warm yet refined. Delicious vegan Poutine, burgers and lovely staff. One of my favourite pubs. Only comment would be for the music to be slightly lower so we could hear each other easily. X

The pub has an excellent atmosphere, always good music on and the staff are really friendly. We were served by Allie on the bar and she had great service.

Fantastic service all around. Came in for a large team feed and the staff here were incredibly helpful. Andrea was so helpful and offered the best service to us. Despite being in a group of 25, they provided food very efficiently and promptly. The bar staff including joe, were exceptionally helpful and kind to all of us. If you’re looking for high end pub food, this is the best place to go. Cannot rate these guys any higher!

Charming and warm pub offering shelter from the hectic city centre, our experience here was topped off by the warm and attentive Andreea, who greeted us with a smile and ensured we had a lovely experience, will certainly be back for more!

Difficult place to describe, beers are ok but nothing to write home about, a rather odd interior layout, with an outside courtyard. Needs something to stand out, to be memorable, the food and drink just don't cut it at the moment.

Great atmosphere, great food. First visit in 20 something years but I'll definitely be going back soon.
