Poor customer service, of which the lady who served us seemed like she just did not want to be there. Parted with just under £10 for two scones and a large pot of tea. The seating was all taken inside so we sat outside but there was not a lot of room. The tea came out quickly, but they forgot to bring us milk so after waiting a few minutes we went in to ask for some, of which they told us they had forgotten. We then waited for about 10 minutes and went in to ask when our scones were coming, of which they said they had forgotten about those too! Not impressed, will not be returning.

The cakes are super delicious! And they have a lot of choices 😊 Went there two times and both times the cakes were super good! I would recommend!

The food was undercooked, and the first 3 things she brought out was completely wrong. We was then berated and spoken to like complete idiot's by the blonde younger woman who had the attitude of a teenager who has just been told they're phone contract is being cancelled. Would never go back, or recommend to anyone in future. And ontop of this when we ordered they was making prices up on the spot that did not match up to the menu, absolute shambles of a business.

Best breakfast I’ve had in ages. Just what I needed to fight off my hangover and get ready to do it all over again! Top quality food and plenty of it. Really great independent little setting. A world away from the soulless cafes and coffee shops that are pervading our communities. Excellent service too. Highly recommended!

Amazing cafe. Beef and horse radish baguette was delicious, so was the bruschetta! Prices are extremely good value. Will be back soon!

After all the good reviews, it was disappointing. Hot chocolate is basically warm milk and the scone with butter and jam came with margarine!

Had a tapas style meal at Emily’s for a pre birthday meal on 15/9/21, I say it was a tapas style but the portions were more than adequate. There was plenty of options to chose from we had 7 dishes. The mackerel pâté was exquisite (so much so had some to take away) . Lovely pleasant atmosphere which is family run, nothing was too much . Music on in the background with volume reduced so as not too loud to spoil conversations but enough to enjoy. Food was great and so are the staff, would recommend.

Came in for breakfast on Wednesday, had the small English and I have to say it was amazing. The bacon was so tasty, and everything else just perfect, egg, mushrooms, beans, sausage. Very high quality food and friendly staff. A rhubarb and ginger cake was produced and I committed to go back later and try it... I did, and it did not disappoint, think rhubarb gin and ginger ale.... Amazing sponge cake and great flavours. Well worth a visit.

Quaint little cafe, serving, home cooked, delicious food. I recommend Sunday dinner - booked in advance(as they are popular!) It is the best Sunday roast dinner... homemade is their perfection. Also the coffee, cakes and cooked Breakfasts have become our family treats.

First time at Emily's. Me and a few friends visited for lunch. Due to health conditions we do have different requirements . This wasn't a problem at all for the staff. Very friendly and accomadatting. The food was great. The cake A1. Thank you we will definitely be back

Lovely homemade food in a shabby chic cafe. I had soup of the day and a baguette with a pot of tea, which was delicious mixed veg soup - very reasonably priced. The cafe was quite busy with tables pretty full most of the time, but because it's quite a small shop it's not too loud - there is a garden out the back I believe but it was raining so didn't explore! Definitely recommend, very friendly helpful staff too.

Tasty, homemade options served in a vintage setting. We enjoyed the friendly service along with toasties and tea. Certainly had a local feel.

Really good place if you’re 70 plus and have an hour to an hour and a half to wait for a sarnie and breakfast only for them to get it wrong. People next to us waited 30 mins then asked how much longer you said five mins then went to them and said can we take your order again 😂wtf. Slower than my Nan and she’s dead.

I met a work colleague here for catch up very early on a Monday, they had just opened, the outdoor table and chairs were inside making it crowded so.some customers offered to put them out. I ordered a coffee and I had a breakfast snack it was quick and tasty.

Waste of time. The don’t answer the phone ( dialled number given on internet) They advertise takeaways. Travelled to order food but was told they had no containers. If they had answered phone I wouldn’t have bothered going. What a way to run a business.

The food was tasty and the service was very friendly. It took quite a while to get the food to the table. If you are sat with friends and having a chat this obviously isn't an issue, but if you want a quick bite.. It could be. The girl who served us was very apologetic for the delay. I will eat here again, but plan more time, although it may have been a one off.
