Massive display of classic and modern motorcycles along with memorabilia. Spent a full 5 hours here, but would need to come back again as have to admit there is so much historical information that we had to move along so to speak. Cafe is good with comfortable furnishings and good offerings of food and drinks. Beautiful grounds around the building as well. 5 halls of hundreds of types / brands of British motorcycles makes you wonder why it all went wrong 🤔

A wonderful day out, friendly staff efficient service. Covid aware plenty of seating in the restaurant good selection of products. Wheelchair accessible toilets ! But best of all were the five halls of motorcycles wow what history class and style. Between 800 to a 1000 bikes of all eras. If you love motorcycles please please visit I'm going again to see what I missed.

Wow. I have never really been a motorcycle fan, but this place just made we want to get one! Maybe I'm having a mid-life crisis, but the history, the bikes, the venue, all absolutely amazing. To think this whole thing was started by one guy, who actually owned all of the 800+ bikes that they have on display here. Some really amazing history here too. If you are a motorcycle fan, you have to come here, if you are not, still come because its such a treat to see these bikes restored back to full working condition. Some of the old war time era bikes were phenomenal and each bike has its own little piece of history. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I took my kids (13, 11, 9 & 6 at the time) and although they probably didn't enjoy it as much as I did, they still had fun. Oh, on a side note, the bathrooms here were wonderfully clean and they had these crazy Dyson hand-dryers that I had never seen before!

There are more motorcycles here in one place than you could shake a stick at! It was very interesting looking around, a huge amount of old and newer bikes and an amazing collection of my favourite BSA's. If you like bikes this is the place to visit.

Brilliant place with around 800 bikes on display. Great staff and volunteers plus a decent cafe and reasonable prices. I'll be back as too much to take in on a single visit. Return visit was fabulous as membership allowed us to ride some of the old bikes on Friends of the Museum day. Yet another visit and always a great place to view the bikes

It's a lovely museum. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The cafe food and drink was tasty, quick and the range was good. The foyer area had a nice era feel to it, like the old cinemas used to. Everywhere and everyone was relaxed, friendly and warm. To the reason we are all there: the bikes - such a huge and impressive collection. The plaques were all really useful to help build a picture of the evolution of British motorcycle engineering and industry. There's a lot of history to absorb and it's cool to recognise and think on some of the awesome engineers and designers we've had in Britain. My only suggestion would be to - somehow - create more space between more of the bikes, so they can be more easily viewed from the sides. It was difficult for us to view and compare the mechanics and enjoy noting the changes as the engineering and science evolved. To the practicals: car park is spacious and easy to navigate, wheelchair access is good, there are good, clean toilets and air con.

So many bikes, it'll take all day to see everything properly. Staff are lovely. The shop is well stocked with a great variety of paraphernalia, and the food is really good too.

Located just off the main roundabouts connecting you to Birmingham and beyond. It’s a huge establishment with hundreds of motorcycles on display. It’s more a man’s thing really, as I found it a little boring myself 😂 The cafe is nice, stocked with hot and cold snacks and hot and cold drinks. Only criticism I have is admission is a little expensive, but you do see rather a lot. Good for children as well, and TT enthusiasts. Well a worth a visit if you’re in the area.

James, Claire and Co were absolutely superb today. Thank you for making my 82 year old Dad feel like a teenager again. We had a fantastic time. Superb venue, superb staff, a collection second to none. Great disabled facilities too. 1000 out of 10!!!! We will be back!

An incredible range of motorcycles. For the avid biker it's a delight! Great parking, easy to find and good clean facilities. If i'm going to be critical, I feel its expensive for what there is. £30 for 2 adults, Visually it's a feast, but needs some interactivity....films of old racing or manufacturing, hands on activities, noise (nothing better than a motorbike engine), space to view the bikes, maybe even a bike or two to sit on. Would be great to know about who's collection it is, and how it's been made. Coffee shop staff friendly, but for a probable biker stop the coffee's were tiny!!

Attended for wedding reception at the site, so can't talk about the museum itself. Plenty of parking space, easy to access with a clean well maintained facility. Exceptional service from Carlos and Layla to accommodate my dietary needs.

Massive collection on bikes and memorabilia. Each bike has a doco with info about its build and capabilities but these are mainly at floor level not good if you are not able to read at ground level or bend down for several hours to read all the fascinating facts provided. 5 rooms of British bikes, amazing condition complete with oil drip tray. Well worth the £15 entrance fee. Cafe is nice with good coffee and delicious cakes. Staff are friendly and helpful. Parking is free! I know, who heard of such a thing.... 😁

Brilliant and highly expansive museum capturing the complete history of British Motorcycling manufacturers, from early Sunbeams to recent Triumphs and everything in between. Collection is in impeccable condition. Very friendly staff. Well laid out. Vast parking lot, with nice cafe and museum shop. Highly recommended and worth a specific visit!

Lovely cafe with great food and coffee. It was really interesting to see so many motorcycles under one roof. Amazing to see the evolution of British motorcycles. There is also a great little gift shop that sells bike wear as well. The staff are lovely as well. It's a great place for young teens and up. We brought a six year old and I was super nervous in case he touched any of the bikes. It's right beside Birmingham airport and it's great place to go and kill a little time before your flight.

If you are, or were a keen Motorcyclist then this museum is bliss. If you are interested in Great Britain's history of once being the world's dominant Motorcycle manufacturer then the sheer number of British Motorcycle manufacturer's will astound and impress, the museum is a credit to their memory, superb!

Absolutely fascinating collection of British motorcycle history. From the first to modern classic on display. Both nostalgic and educational. Coffee shop and shop for use without an entry fee. Spend a couple of hours up to all day if studying something in particular. Wheelchair and mobility scooter accessible. Regular seating rest stops also available.

It's definately a place for bike enthusiasts but I'm not sure you could actually spread it over one whole day. There are lots of bikes, obviously, from early 1900s to more modern and each has its own info. The staff are very helpful but i was a bit disappointed that ( I know it's a BIKE museum) there was no mention, not even a little one, of Barry Sheen , who probably did more to highlight bikes than anyone else in this country.

I took my beloved dad here this week. He's knocking on a bit now so we needed the wheelchair access which was excellent. Very friendly staff, and FABULOUS journey through British biking history. We went there on a pilgrimage in a way, to find a BSA Goldstar B34 like the one dad drove in his youth. And we did! I doubt there'll be a classic British bike you CAN'T find there heheh! Absolutely brilliant. If your going in the winter, dress warm, they could do with turning the heating up.

Loved it! This is a place for people who live motorcycles and especially British motorcycles! Have a cheese toastie and a coffee and walk 5 halls of beautifully preserved motorcycles back to the 19th century. You'll have to piece the innovations together but they are there!

Hundreds of bikes fro 1898 onwards...only go if your interested in British bikes though...carrot cake in the cafe is to die for!!

Good little day out. Brilliant little museum showcasing everything British on 1 wheels, and some 3 and 4. Didn't try the cafe as be had a picnic. I'd say its something to do and see if part of a larger day out or local. I was meeting friends from down south here as a midway point while I enjoyed it and was interesting I don't think I'd travel just to go here. But like always that's my opinion and any motorbike fanatic would love its and sure spend all day here

  • 4/5 Paul L. 1 year ago on Google
A huge national collection of British motorcycles & the history of motorbike design. At least 850 bikes on show, in superb condition going back to the start of putting motors onto bikes. You'll realise how many makes Britain once had & that's just Britain! Five halls covering various makes & periods including military & racing bikes from the early days. I only wish they had more bikes from other countries to compete the experience & possibly some running bikes as they have at Sammy Miller's museum.

Beautiful cafe with delicious food and coffee. Seeing so many motorcycles under one roof was really interesting. It's amazing to see how British motorcycles have developed. There is a wonderful little gift shop nearby that offers bike clothing as well. Also lovely is the staff. Young teens and older will enjoy it very much. I was very anxious because we brought a six-year-old and I didn't want him to touch any of the bikes. It's a great place to visit and kill a little time before your flight because it's right next to Birmingham airport.

What a great experience! Our guide was so knowledgeable on all levels, he knew the answer to every question & more. I'm not very technical but he explained production processes at a level that I understood. I learned so much. The memorabilia section was also interesting & to finish the day we enjoyed a lovely coffee & cake in their coffee shop. A great afternoon.

Beautiful exposition, I've never seen so many BSA motorcycles in one place. Classic British Motorcycle heaven. Car park big and clean easy access from motorway. Building spacious with nice coffee- bar, Toilets clean and in order. Entry to museum £15 per person. Experience priceless. If you are a motorcycle fan, this is a place you Must visit.

  • 4/5 Jim L. 5 months ago on Google
We had never been before and the NMM live came up so popped in, Car park was ok when we got there but as this was a special event it got rammed. The museum was interesting if you like the history of bikes. Some iconic examples that you can get very close to. Food prices were a little steep but it was a good venue with a large conference room.

  • 5/5 Paul N. 6 months ago on Google
Great motorcycle collection and a great day out, the kids enjoyed it but there could do with more stuff to do there for kids including an outdoor play area. All those beautiful ground there and no one’s allowed to go on them not even on the hottest of days. Also unlike other museums there was no provision for a carers or PAs admission ticket. Surely it’s time now to be more inclusive & work with our future generations.

  • 5/5 Trevor B. 6 months ago on Google
A great, modern museum, ideal for all motorcycle enthusiasts, the staff here are very welcoming and helpful, the bikes on show range from very recent to ancient and are arranged very well giving comfortable viewing. There is a restaurant/cafe, which is very reasonably priced and rest rooms. Attached to the museum building is a large conference centre, which was very busy on the day I visited. There is very large free carpark that serves both the museum and the conference centre. That has blue badge parking spaces close to both entrances, that also accommodates wheelchair access.

If you have any interest in the British Motorcycle industry, it's rise, decline and re-birth then the National Motorcycle Museum is well worth a visit.
