I
needed
a
new
kitchen
and
one
of
the
designers
sat
down
with
me
and
designed
it
to
exactly
what
I
wanted,
with
a
lot
of
help
and
great
patience.
They
offer
a10
year
warranty
on
their
kitchens
and
2
years
on
the
fitting.
That
sounded
pretty
good
to
me.
An
appointment
was
made
for
a
surveyor
to
come
out
and
measure
up,
but
he
didn't
appear,
though
he
claimed
he
was
knocking
on
my
door
for
10
minutes.
But
another
appointment
has
been
made,
so
hopefully
he'll
find
the
right
house
this
time.
I
can't
say
more
until
the
kitchen
is
fitted,
which
will
be
in
3-4
months,
but
it's
been
quoted
at
half
the
price
of
another
company
and
the
quality
looks
good
enough
to
me.
Parking
is
plentiful
including
spaces
for
disabled
and
it's
easy
to
navigate
the
store
riding
a
mobility
scooter.
Edit:
5
or
6
months
later.
You
need
to
check
the
order
list,
that
you
are
going
to
get
exactly
what
you
discussed
with
the
designer.
Though
he
included
refitting
my
washing
machine
and
tabletop
dishwasher,
which
were
both
included
in
the
design
he
gave
me,
the
dishwasher
was
missed
out
on
the
written
quote,
apparently.
I
made
the
mistake
of
thinking
it
would
be
best
if
B&Q
fitters
installed
my
kitchen.
It
was
started
in
March.
The
dishwasher
was
discussed
with
the
fitter
who
surveyed
the
job,
but
completely
ignored
then
and
on
several
occasions
afterwards.
After
much
and
detailed
complaint
to
department
management,
2
refits,
one
6+foot
fitter
yelling
at
me
for
more
than
10
mins,
waving
his
finger
in
my
face,
trying
to
intimidate
me,
refusing
to
leave,
finally
leaving
and
slamming
the
door
shut
twice,
kicking
the
wobbly
wood
railings
up
the
ramp
to
my
door
and
breaking
them
completely
(another
job
on
the
list
anyway
but
now
dangerously
urgent),
being
without
a
useable
kitchen
for
3
weeks,
managers
and
other
fitters
visiting
several
times,
a
third,
almost
complete
refit
will
be
carried
out
in
mid
August.
At
least
B&Q
looked,
listened
and
saw
exactly
why
I
was
complaining
and
replaced
everything
that
has
been
badly
fitted,
damaged
or
stolen
by
their
own
fitters.
Now
a
fitter
from
a
completely
different
store
is
going
to
rip
out
and
completely
refit
most
of
the
units,
worktops
etc.
It's
actually
going
to
be
a
really
nice
kitchen
when
done.
After
considerable
argument
about
the
dishwasher,
it's
going
to
be
fitted,
as
compensation,
in
the
corner
between
the
drawing
board
and
induction
hob.
I
can
really
recommend
this
hob,
I've
used
both
gas
and
electric
over
the
years,
including
a
ceramic
hob,
but
this
comes
to
the
boil
faster
and
more
evenly
than
gas,
then
gradually
turned
down,
it
simmers
evenly
all
over.
It
takes
a
bit
of
getting
used
to,
but
if
a
74
year
old,
now
thoroughly
stressed
out
guy
can
do
it,
anyone
can.
The
breakfast
bar
is
a
600mm
worktop
supported
by
300mm
wall
units,
so
I
can
sit
and
prepare
food
and
have
extra
storage
space
as
well.
🤞
August
will
finally
be
the
end
of
it.
There
will
be
an
expense
of
£50/60+
for
a
saucepan
set
suitable
for
an
induction
hob.
In
fact
you
can
pay
£200+
if
you
want
all
singing,
dancing
pans,
but
that
isn't
necessary.
Stainless,
dishwasher
proof
with
glass
lids
and
a10
year
guarantee,
at
£50/60
suits
me
fine.
Photos
before
complete
refit,
but
these
are
general
ones,
where
the
faults/damage
isn't
all
that
obvious.
