Wort campsite I have stayed on. Only 1 toilet block to cater for all people staying, must be a long wait if I had stayed in summer for showers or toilets, water didn’t not get hot only luke warm, originally couldn’t get into the toilet block as the handle was broke and had to pull a string which was tied to the door, was not told this. There was dog mess everywhere even tho I didn’t see a dog on site. Cats were over all the wash stations. Cheap price and you get a very poor standard. Would not recommend to anyone.

They threw a loud party with live music at night (until 1:15). Impossible to sleep, the plans are ruined. WCs and showers are old and dirty. Avoid, especially if you have kids.

When we arrived the person at the reception was barely qualified to help us settle in our first night. No problem in being new at your job but if you can't do your job alone your employer probably shouldn't leave you alone in the first place? 2stars for the place being pleasant and having decent facilities.

2.5 rather, but 3 felt too much. Friendly staff, but that's about it. The toilet/shower blocks haven't seen any improvement in quite a few years, and weren't cleaned regularly apparently; same cigarette end lay in the same toilet for 2.5 days. Speaking of cigarettes, they were everywhere on the ground, along with a lot of other rubbish. Place primarily catering to fixed spots in various states of maintenance. And speaking of maintenance, on a Saturday evening until 9pm staff were using mitre saws, grinders and what not to work on some flooring. So much for relaxing in nature. I'd only ever use it as a spot for a quick one night stay over, if I had to. We stayed 2 nights, because of walking would have stayed 3, but decided to move on regardless.

We were here in October. The reception was open till 1 am, which was a good thing, because we came late. The sanitary facilities was old but mostly clean. Not every place for a tent has the possibility to park a car next to the tent.

It is a really calm camping between covilha and the natural park of serra da estrela. We stayed there for three nights. The toilets are a bit older but clean and the people are really friendly. There is also a swimming pool. I didn't use it, but I think you have to pay a small fee for it. There is also a restaurant/coffee for some drinks and a small shop for bread there. Everything has a really good price. I would recommend this place.

The employees were friendly and competent and the location is great. On the weak part is the fact that the camping has no internet service and in view that the location has bad cellphone reception, that keeps residents kind of isolated. The accommodations are standard and you have a/c and heating in the living room, but the sizes are for midgets. The toilet seat is made for children, too low and narrow and the second room beds the same. Also the materials used are of very inexpensive quality. Comparing to similar outfits in France or Italy there is room for a lot of improvement.

Nice quiet place. It is in the mountains and rather in the middle of things. It is rather near the top of the Serra das Estrelas, near the various mountain dams and there are various river beaches and waterfalls within 20-30 km of distance. The bathrooms are old but functional. The stuff was helpful and nice.
