Place is nice to obtain the Disney atmosphere if you don't have time to enter or don't want to pay for the parks. We went here on a Wednesday afternoon and there was a good crowd. If you are visiting here you have to park in the G lot "Simba Lot." This is away from the main Disneyland garage and the hotel parking lots. The result is a walk pf about ten minutes to the entrance. Not bad especially with the good weather here, and sidewalk has shading from the trees so that is lessens the aggravation even more. You will have to go through a security checkpoint to get it. The premises is much like you typical mixed use open retail center with the Disney flair. There are plenty of restaurants, and retail stores here to appeal to everyone. The "World of Disney" shop has most of the Disney gifts that you will in the the parks themselves. .There is access to the Disneyland esplanade where you can go up to the entrances of Disneyland and California Adventure parks. One important thing to note, may be different for anyone else. Even though I validated my parking. I still had to pay the 10.00 base rate. I spent three hours over there, validation only covers the time past the the first hour? Great place to go, but as with and Disney related place - bring money.

After you've explored the park, take a pleasant walk to enjoy some tasty, high-quality food or pick up a couple of meaningful souvenirs. Plus, you can catch the fireworks from a unique perspective right here!

It's been four years since we last visited Downtown Disney. It's a fun area to hang out with the family. We did an 1 hr 15 minutes of bowling at Splitsville Luxury Lanes and we had a lot of fun. They charge $25 dollars a person. Their drinks and food was really good compared to other bowling places. There is a waiting period to get your bowling lanes so we went shopping around to kill time. Grabbed some Starbucks drinks and all was good. The only downside is that there were a lot of people. A bit overcrowded. Oh! Don't forget to validate your parking ticket. If you spend $20 dollars you get 3 free hours of parking or just eat at one of their restaurants validate it and you get 5 hours free parking. Enjoy!

The parking is definitely different from what I remember. It's been a while since last time I visited DT Disney District. We visited on a Saturday around 5 pm. Parking lot entrance was very busy, but it was moving at a decent pace. $10 for the first hour. We paid $24 for very close to 2 hours. Make sure you remember where you parked. Easy to lose your car in the parking lot. Outside parking. There is also a security check line before entering the District. It also move at a decent pace. It took us about 10 minutes to get in. Inside, nothing has change too much. It was nice today seeing all the Christmas lights on. I recommend eating before or after leaving Downtown Disney. All of the restaurants had a very long line. We just walked into Starbucks and got some coffee, 20 minutes from start to when we had our coffees, not bad at all.

It's a really nice place to buy disneyland souvenirs, but if you're not planning to buy anything, just make it quick because most of the shop sells the same thing. Very good churros there! Always a Disney lover.

It was a great experience for any Disney fans but not wanting to go to Disneyland. There are lots of shops, eateries and live performances here. It was like we experienced first hand what would be like in Disneyland without going into the famous park, and it’s FREE!!! We plan on going to Disneyland next year so this was like a rehearsal :))) Great experience overall!

We went to Downtown Disney in Sept to enjoy the Halloween decorations before it would get busy in October to see them. But the parking is so ridiculous now! For the first hour, you have to pay $10 (whether or not you plan on buying anything from the businesses and restaurants). Then after that initial $10, you need to purchase a minimum of $20 to "validate" an additional 2 hours or so. So altogether, that means you still have to pay a total of at least $30 to spend any decent time in downtown. $30 would only really be justified for actual theme park parking, such as if you are enjoying the Disneyland and/or California Adventure parks for the entire day. After we found that out, that's our last time visiting downtown Disney. Unless we get dropped off and then picked up right outside the Downtown Disney district, and we walk to and from the area. I don't mind the metal detectors because I feel like they are necessary in a lot of public places these days. But I really think that Disney is getting too greedy. I remember a very long time ago when parking in Downtown Disney was free for 3 hours when it first opened about 20 years ago. Then they scaled that back to 2 hours of free parking. But now, the parking arrangement is ridiculous! What can you really do for the very first hour there? And to make matters unreasonable, you still have to pay $10 for that first hour, regardless of whether or not you buy anything from the restaurants of businesses. In my opinion, if we purchase a certain amount from the restaurants or businesses there, that should at least be sufficient to validate at least 2 hours of time there. I think my family and I will look for more reasonably priced ways to enjoy Disney. The Halloween decorations were really nice! But it's not really worth it to go to Downtown Disney anymore if you have to drive and park your car there for ridiculous hourly fees. This really takes the fun out of even enjoying your time there.

The Downtown Disney District is a gem of the Disney brand and local area. This area has a host of restaurants, eateries, and shops for all ages. A great spot to grab some adult beverages when on a date night or have a bite to eat with the family. Downtown Disney District is within minutes walk from the Anaheim Convention Center and a host of various hotels and resort accommodation in the area. Extremely clean and safe for hours of wandering and exploring.

I think this is the nice place to visit if you want to have a Disney theme in your day without visiting the park. No ticket except for the parking. The shops are nice including Lego and World of Disney, you can look for more Disnet merchandise here. The bar/cafe/restaurant also nice.

Downtown Disney District is a very fun and entertaining extension of the Disney parks. The crown jewel is probably the world of Disney store which is humongous and has most of all the merchandise that can be found in the Disney parks. There are tons of neat stores and fun restaurants, one of my favorites is Ralphs Jazz kitchen. Call ahead to find out when they have live jazz music, it’s a great experience. They also have a awesome Star Wars store at the very end of the district that has got tons of Star Wars merchandise.

At 60+, it was the best experience ever with my Son and his family! Just make sure to rent a scooter ($85 and you get back a refund deposit) for the day i used it from 11 am to 11pm...and still didn't get to see everything! Awesome experience.

If you like Lego it’s a must to visit just to see their sculptures. Even if you don’t it’s a super unique Lego store to visit. Be prepared to that there will be a lot of people there. Also if you want to get your custome mini figure make sure to make an appointment online before you go there. Same thing with mosaic. Also it’s located in downtown Disney and admission is free (but parking is not $10 first hour and then 7$ every 30 min)

A few cool shops here, I mostly really enjoyed the food. Free to enter, but the parking is quite expensive unless you plan on buying things and spending around 4 hours here. Which is only possible if you absolutely love shopping or if you’re going for a sit down meal and shopping. $10 parking 1st hour Additional $7 for every 30mins after that If you buy something, it’s $10 for 4 hours If you have a sit down meal, it’s $10 for 6 hours.

Such a wonderful place to visit if you never been or has been before and just want to walk or shop around. There no entry fee but you do have to pay for parking. The first hour is a standard fee but if you eat at a restaurant there or buy something from the shop then they will validate your pass so you just pay for the first hour. The district was decorated nicely for Christmas and there wasn't as much people there when I went.

The Downtown Disney District is an adventure in itself. They are currently experience a major remodel of the West end, adding a few new eateries and updating the outdoor entertainment area. Once completed, you should be able to find a plethora of food choices to sooth any appetite. Do a little shopping, grab a small biter to eat, enjoy a delicious coffee or adult beverage or even partake in a treat to entertain the sugar cravings we all experience. One of the delightful features of the district is the nightly entertainment that happens down by the stage just built near the old ESPN building. The old days were filled with entertainment throughout the district, but they seem to now concentrate it to one location. I prefer the old ways, or the current ways of the Disney Springs in Orlando, music throughout. Disney doesn't fail when it comes time to celebrate the seasons and many holidays we enjoy. The district stays clean and safe and is an enjoyable experience to add to your Disney trip.

We made a quick stop to Downtown Disney on our trip. It was very busy, but lots of fun. We had some food and bought dinner souvenirs. We had fun people watching. A fun environment and high energy. The parking was somewhat difficult to find, but we were overthinking it too much. Just pull in where the Downtown Disney sign is. LOL If you drive here, you will have to pay at least $10 for parking. The restaurants and shops will validate parking though if you make a purchase. We had a nice time.

What a great way to walk around and visit shops at Downtown Disney. If you happen to still have energy after going to the Disney parks, I would suggest walking these beautiful pathways of shops. They have all kinds of foods, stores, and specialty stores. There are lots of places to take family pictures and very entertaining for all ages.

Trendy and Upscale Shopping District with Different types of stores and eateries that caters to general public and Disney Park Visitors. Prepare to shell out top dollars for everything! A short walk from the paid parking area (you get up to 3 hrs of parking for.$10 with Purchase of.over $20 from retailers) . Plenty of things to browse and buy. The Vibe and Ambience are great. !

i love this space and visited twice in one week. It is a relaxed Disney themed shopping and dinner area where you can feel the magic without paying for a park ticket. In the evening most of the restaurants got queues and the same goes for retail. World of Disney is big!! But not as big as the one in Disney springs. Live Entertainment was a plus and the cherry on top of the cake was the possibility to see the fireworks ( not as good as inside) without entering the park, i found this very beautiful.

Downtown Disney is kind of it's own experience. They have a variety of shops and restaurants and are a good option if you can't make it into the parks to get last minute souvenirs or visit an eatery. They also do shows on stage near the entrance opposite of the one near the entrance to the parks (more near the Disney hotels). It is definitely more of a money sink than an actual Disney experience and you do have to go through security to get in there. Still a nice visit though

Great place for dining, shopping, and exploring! Easy to access as you can literally enter through Disneyland Hotel or the Esplanade. You will have to enter security lines prior, but all vast members are patient and polite through the process. Several shops like Home, Lego Store, Star Wars, World of Disney, Disney Dress Shop, Pandora, and so many more. Food options include several sit down locations like the Jazz Cafe, Splitsville, and Black Tap- all of which are priced fairly well and can seat a lot of people. Be sure to check out the new Disney 100 medallions and enjoy all of the sights as you stroll through Downtown Disney!

I recently was made aware that you can visit Downtown Disney without an admission ticket! You do have to go through security but you do not need a ticket just to visit the shops and eat at the carts and restaurants! I had a half day with no plans while in Anaheim recently so I spent half a day just walking, shopping and eating at the happiest place on earth! I enjoyed a street cart corn dog, candy and met up with my husband later for some ice cream! Highly recommend for a fun little excursions and tasty treats!

I have written other reviews for the Disneyland parks but for this one I only want to mention some of my best food recommendations. First I wanted to say that Downtown Disney is just my favorite place to go when I’m on a trip. The best place to get food for dinner in Downtown Disney is Splitsville, dinning and bowling. The food there is just so good I can never forget it, my personal favorite is a simple meal, the fried chicken strips 😅😋. A good place for lunch is tortilla Jo’s, you can’t go wrong there. I recommended places for curtain meals in the wrong order but I think a great place for a tasty dessert is Black tap, my favorite is their giant milkshakes! None of my recommendations are too expensive and it totally worth it to go and enjoy meals at those places.

Amazing and many things to do at all times, many restaurants and things to do almost all time of day and night, only thing Restaurants we’re booked and barely any place to sit. But loved walking around for hours and hours with the wife. Parking is a bit annoying but you will be able to find a place eventually, you can do so much, ride the hot air balloon, walk, eat, drink do almost anything which is great.

We started the day at California adventure. Right when the park opens. And everything was great, rode a few rides and took some photos. After that we went to downtown Disney for lunch and drinks. That was nice, but way overpriced for the quality of the food. Then went to Disneyland. That's where things went south. The park let's TOO MANY PEOPLE into the park. You can barely walk much less ride anything without standing in line for hours. My last time ever visiting Disneyland.

What a wonderful family place. Lots to see and do. The lights at night are so pretty too. I wish they had another big Disney store with more older characters. Definitely something for everyone to do and for all ages. Ten out of ten would totally recommend for family fun and yummy dining. Brandon at Naples is the best. The pizza is to die for.

Love some of the seasonal updates that have been made. If you're heading down this Fall/Halloween season you're in for a treat. There are lots of new Fall decorations, along with seasonal food options for Halloween, Fall, as well as Hispanic Heritage month which I think is pretty awesome! They also have some some great food truck options and live entertainment on the Disney stage for Hispanic Heritage month and a free activity for both children and kids at heart. Expect crowds as always, but not too bad. Many of the stores have cute decorations as well as seasonal offerings.

Disneyland truly deserves a five-star rating! It's a place where magic comes to life, offering an enchanting experience for all ages. The attention to detail in every corner of the park is awe-inspiring, and the attractions are a perfect blend of nostalgia and innovation. The friendly staff goes above and beyond to make your visit unforgettable. Whether you're meeting beloved Disney characters, enjoying thrilling rides, or savoring delicious treats, Disneyland offers a world of wonder. It's a place where dreams come true, and it's impossible not to leave with a smile on your face. A five-star experience for sure!

We come here often because our young say it loves going here. Covid19 measures are in place. The gigantic Disney store is busy but not too crowded. The products are nicely arranged. Parking is not cheap. It’s $10 for the first hour. Every additional half hour is seven dollars. The decorations for Halloween 2021 were quite whimsical. It was fun to just walk by and take it all in.

Not enough time to go into the park, but just enough time to participate in Pluto’s Pumpkin Scavenger Hunt! So much fun… met others looking for the pumpkins. It was more difficult at night. Ended up finding them all and got our prize at the end! Great time with my daughter!

4 stars only because parking is a racket here. $24 for 1 hour and 40 mins. If you love the Disney atmosphere but so t need the rides or attractions; this place is great. No reservation required. It’s fun to go see the hotels as well.

Really cool place to hangout while taking a break from the Disney Parks or on the way back to the Disney Hotels. There's a lot of variety on the restaurants but they do get full so make sure to make a reservation with plenty of time. They also have quick take out options which are a great option when in a rush.

Such a lovely experience - especially during the Christmas season! Many of the stores sell the same things as you would find in the park. Additionally, be prepared to pay a lot for food and long wait times to get into restaurants. Parking can also be validated if you shop/dine during your stay.

  • 5/5 H T. 10 months ago on Google
Super impressed with the atmosphere here-especially when entering through the Downtown Disney parking lot. It costs $10/hour to park. First 15 min are free probably because it's a bit of a walk to actually get to the shopping area. If you make a purchase, be sure to get your parking ticket validated before returning to the parking ticket pay machine to get $10 off. There was a cute area for crafts with Mickey Ear music notes too!

Lots of Disney 100 decorations! There is some construction happening as of June 22nd, but it's not too bad. Enjoyed all the different Disney stores. Ate at Black Tap, had some ice cream and Salt and Straw. Good selection of shops.

Loved visiting Downtown Disney, haven't been here in years and quite a few changes have happened. Along with part of it under construction I imagine but still great to visit and walk around lots of shops to check out and restaurants to try. Can't wait to visit again, hopefully sooner this time.
