I had a truly outstanding meal here. The flavors were strong and complex without being overwhelming for the fresh seafood. The menu is both traditional and inventive. All of the salted egg yolk flavored items were delicious and the bun dau mam tom is not be missed. I would go every week if I lived nearby.

3 Stars mainly because the food and drinks quality leave much to be desired. 1) The iced coffee is rather watery for viet coffee standard. It came so quick and did not feel like freshly dripped/ prepared. 2) All the dishes are VERY salty, especially the Bun Rieu. The soup itself is super super salty and loaded with MSG. 3) The washroom is large but not clean, some insects flying around and pretty smelly.

10/2021 This place has gone downhill since I was there 3 years ago, in look as well as taste of the food. I had the most disappointing dinner last night. As another review had already mentioned, the canh bun had no flavors. It was filled with toppings but that's just the look. The tofu was dry, although other toppings were ok. The Oc len looked appealing in it's sauce, and the sauce was not good either. Perhaps worst of all the dishes we had was the oc Huong which were so overcooked that they tasted like rubber. For the first time in my life, I didn't finish the oc huong. The fried soft shell crabs were decent but the better sauce would have been prepared fish sauce and given with lettuce so that they can be wrapped and dipped. Never coming back to this place again.

Biggest disappointment ever! The 4.5 star was completely set a high expectation which left us wanting. Flavors of the dishes were completely absent. Where is the lemongrass flavor in the clams dish? The crab and tomato flavor in bun rieu? The grilled scallop was so tiny you can’t even taste the scallop. Even the signature flavor of the shrimp paste dipping sauce was off.

4.5 stars this time. The taste was 99% identical to Northern style bun dau. The portion was good and the price was reasonable. But 0.5 point deducted was due to the size of the dipping sauce portion. The sauce tasted fantastic but it would have been better if it was a little more.

If you want a good Vietnamese restaurant, this is not the place for you. Maybe go on Yelp and read what people are saying on there The service here is terrible to begin with. You pretty much have to do everything here yourself. The utensils are not clean The food is mediocre at best

I love my banh canh cua, but my boyfriend’s bun rieu is a little salty. The drink was good too 💕

🇻🇳 VIETNAM (via Eat the World Los Angeles) - While not quite ignored, the bounty of foods from Northern Vietnam have usually been quite a bit harder to locate in Orange County's Little Saigon than the foods from the south and center of the country. There may have been northern-style phở or a few dishes thrown onto the standard menus, but specialists are much more recent. As more and more time passes since the American War (Kháng chiến chống Mỹ) and generations of children born to Vietnamese parents in California look over to the flourishing nation Vietnam has become since kicking out the imperialists, Little Saigon keeps getting better and better.

My first time dine in at this location, Sunday lunch time not busy at all. The portion is smaller than their other stores. The mắm ruốc is not stinky, and right to taste. The Banh Uot is good, the bowl of meat is a bit salty to me. I added a little spicy chili 🌶 for better taste.

This is a new location for the restaurant. The food is still good. The service was quite slow when we were there. There are many parking spaces in the business plaza but it's so crowded so expecting some waiting time for parking. It's a handicap friendly facility.

Biggest disappointment !! I was expecting authentic Hanoi food for a 4.5 rating restaurant, but the 2 dishes we ordered was not authentic at all. - Bun rieu is so bad. Soup was a bit cold, the "rieu" is sour and weird flavor like it's spoiled or so. The soup tastes sweet and not like the bun rieu soup at all. - Bun cha is ok, but the fish sauce is pretty strong and doesnt taste like Bun Cha sauce in Hanoi. But for my American husband, bun cha is ok. - Food comes in a big portion, so the price seems reasonable for it. But I'd rather it comes in a smaller portion at cheaper price as I cannot finish one dish.

So glad I found this place! Orders their Bun Cha & it was delicious! Spent 3 weeks in Hanoi & fell in love with Bun Cha, this place made me feel like I was back!! The broth is rich , the pork is perfectly grilled & the portions were nice & big. Will deff be coming back for more. The vegetable rolls were nice & crispy.

Came here for lunch. Quick service and well seasoned foods. Ambience was great and relaxing. They got some good traditional Northern Vietnamese style foods so give it a try if you like to.

Food was okay for the price. We expected more mint and other fresh veggies to be served with our entrees. Bathroom wait was too long, and there was only one available. Service needs some work as we were not told where to sit or asked if everything was okay or not. The store will need to work on customer service if they want more tips.

Accidentally landed here and I'm so glad I did!! Most flavourful soup, it was so fresh and delicious, their Thai tea was perfectly balanced. I'm craving this soup again, I'll have to revisit!!

Very tasty, delicious vietnamese food. Bun cha ha noi is a must try!

The dead fly in the noodle soup shows Ha Noi restaurant’s kitchen lack of attention to the food they serve to their customers. Bad service, disgusting 🤮 food. Their restaurant should be inspected by food quality control inspector from the local city and county so they can continue providing safe and healthy food to their customers. The next time you visit this restaurant, beware of what you about to eat to prevent carry any unwanted diseases 🦠 ~Bun Rieu Cua Lot

Delicious northern style Vietnamese food! From out of town and would return again if given the opportunity.
