I loved this place. I really enjoyed seeing all of the bright colors. There's even a gift shop which unfortunately doesn't have a person working it so if you want a magnet and only have a $20 bill you kind of have to get more stuff. So if you want something from there you should bring smaller bills. Overall though it was a really cool art exhibit. Also parking is hard to find right by Randyland if you don't live in the area and have a parking permit.

What a gem in Pittsburgh! Randy is a wonderful character and full of positive energy and stories. The “gardens” are a hoot! So colorful and whimsical as well. Around every corner is a new scene of joy and moments to be savored and treasured.

"What is useless to one person is valuable to another." - English saying I am a little sad that I didn't get to talk to Randy when I stopped by but I definitely enjoyed exploring Randyland. It's absolutely one man's obsession and it's an impressive collection of repurposed stuff that other people have discarded. Repainted, repaired, displayed, this is bright colors and lots of small details that might be easy to miss. A half hour is plenty of time to explore Randyland, take a bunch of photos and visit their small honor-system gift shop. I have a new fridge magnet! Super awesome to visit this unique Pittsburgh attraction that shouldn't be missed when you see the city.

Top of my bucket list when visiting Pittsburgh, and it definitely didn’t disappoint!! You can tell the man who created this really loves art and obscurity. There’s lots of messages about loving everyone no matter who they are, definitely very hippie like in the best way. It’s extremely colorful and beautiful. Free admission and the street around it is also decorated. There’s also a gift shop inside, no person attending it so bring exact change if you can to contribute to this art museum:). We even got to meet Randy himself as he was entering his home, he was extremely sweet and very proud of his work. I definitely recommend this place, it honestly made my whole day lol.

Positivity runs rampant at Randyland. The energy here is unreal. It's like the place is truly ALIVE! It has its own spirit. Nothing like it anywhere. If you are fortunate enough, you might even meet Randy. He's a walking talking human BLESSING. We RANDomlY helped him move some furniture off his truck onto his porch. Then visited for an hour. It was like we were old friends, but we had just met, strangers honestly. Joy abounds at Randyland!

Where do I start with Randyland? Well, for one, the place immediately sends feel-good vibes from head to toe the second you walk in. A colorful oasis of positivity, might be the best way to describe it. We met Randy as he made an appearance before the whole crowd. What a sweet, inspiring, uplifting, and genuine human he is...just wow. My visit was a couple of weeks ago, and I still think about it. Randy was talking about his next installation featuring John Lennon and I can't wait to come back and check that out. Entry is free, but leaving a donation allows this awesome place to remain open to the general public!

Great free museum in Pittsburgh! You can walk through the entire area in under 20 minutes. A must see if you’re in Pittsburgh. Very thoughtfully and artfully curated. Randy is usually on the grounds. He’s super friendly and always has stories. 🌸 🖼️

Strange place. Not for everyone. Don’t really know how to explain it. I’m assuming it was Randy was actually out in Randyland telling his story when I was there. He seemed to really enjoy talking to the visitors. No cost and free parking. Worth a stop if you like quirky things

UNIQUE. My impression was hippie generation inspiration mixed with my own tendency to collect old items for sentimental value despite not enough room for everything. Art is in the eye of the beholder; I found much to enjoy amidst the clutter. I took more pictures here than any other part of Pittsburgh and really enjoyed this joyful little corner. Many thanks to Randy and friends for this most unusual collection. You make smiles happen.

Cute and positive eclectic art outdoor gallery. The story of Randy is a beautiful one and he seems like a genuine person who wants to make the world a more positive, happy place to be and you get that feeling when you go. Cute place to stop to and in walking distance to the aviary and Andy Warhol museum in a neighborhood. It is free to go but donations help support it! Worth a quick stop!

I first visited Randyland in 2015 and returned to bring a good friend and his son while they made a quick visit... I was proud and happy to share such a magical place and a wonderful person to those who were close to me. Randy was there and shared some empowering words with my friend's son. It was a moment that made me appreciate that there are still good people in this world. I write this on Bob Marley's birthday, a human that unknowingly helped comfort and empower me through trying times just as Randy tries to do for others. I think Bob would be very proud of Randy. Randyland isn't just a place worth visiting if you're passing through; it's a place worth visiting for. Inspiring kids from near and far. He helps water the seeds so they can sprout and grow tall. Life is hard, express the scars, create or admire some art. It's a really good start to building a colorful deck of cards.

Randyland’s kaleidoscope of colors and imaginative sculptures truly transport visitors to a whimsical world. The attention to detail in each piece reflects Randy’s artistic prowess and dedication. The outdoor space is filled with surprises, and every corner seems to unveil a new visual delight. Whether you’re an art enthusiast or just looking for a cheerful escape, Randyland is a delightful adventure that sparks joy and leaves you with a smile. Don’t miss this vibrant oasis in the midst of Baltimore’s urban landscape!

Was there a few years ago and had the opportunity to speak with Randy. He's a creative kind soul. All painting done by him with the help of donations. If you are in the area and appreciate creativity and items from the past, it's worth a stop. Free to walk around, buy a shirt, take pics. On street parking where you can find a spot.

Cute and different place to visit. Good photo ops…and it’s free. Have to use street parking, which wasn’t an issue while I was there. I did expect it to be bigger for some reason. Only need 10-15mins max

Free entry into a bizarre collection of stuffs. They ask you to support them but you don’t really have to pay anything. There are some pretty weird meaningless “things”, I guess made by local artists. If you try to find meanings in them, probably you will find them absurd, or probably you will find a lot to think about. In any case, the ambiance is very colorful, bright.

What an awesome and unique place to see in Pittsburgh! The colors just explode throughout Randyland. Very cool place that we'd come back and see again. Throw a little something in the donation jar, or buy some merchandise to support a great place. Don't want to put up too many pics because it has to be seen in person

Delightful, cheery, and beautiful! It was a fun contrast to a gray and dreary day, which I hear is common in Pittsburgh. A friend decided not to drop by because they thought the pictures did it justice. I disagree, it is way better in person. It's a quick and easy stop, do it!

Quick stop at a public gallery! Cool find that's hard to miss. It's a public art walk area thing. Neat things compiled in one area. Great for pics!

Want Quirk? Visit Randyland in Pittsburgh and you’ll get plenty. One of America’s classic “Outsider Art” venues, it is fun, whimsical, kitschy, funky, colorful and downright quirky. There is so much color and eye candy there that it could take hours to really view it all. It is worth your time folks…just to get a taste of what a non-trained “artist” can do with color, junk and kitschy stuff.

Very artistic and detailed work, definitely worth visiting, it is also free! The place is constantly changing and the owner is still adding new details every now and then, very immersive experience while walking inside. Nice place for photography too. Just be careful about tripping hazard and summer time mosquitoes

Art, fun, happy, free! 🖌️🎨 This place is art everywhere you look, from the ground to the top everything has a special and artistic feel. We just felt happy there and had so much fun taking pictures. It is also a great spot for photos with friends and family! At first sight it might seem like a bunch of random stuff all together, but it just makes sense! I definitely recommend going there to put a smile on your face!

A lovely place to swing by. A colorful "junkyard" that offers a unique experience. it's relatively small, but fun and really good juju and vibes. It was the place we went when visiting Pittsburgh on a 4 day vacation and it set the tone and was well worth it.

Very cool and unique. You just feel happy being there. It's free but he takes donations. I would recommend donating because he put a lot of hard work and time for his exhibits. He had an eye the beauty and uniqueness. If you have a couple hours go see it and see if you aren't inspired.

A literal explosion of bright colors! Even the flowering plants were multi-colored, a case of life imitating art. And Mr. Randy does not shy away from expressing views that might seem polarizing to some. So yeah, come and have a look, take lots of photos, and don't forget to leave a donation before leaving.

Completely free to walk around this little whimsical garden, affectionately called Randyland. What a cute gem in the neighborhood, definitely worth a quick stop if you are in the area! Randy seems like such a kind, wise soul!

The place is absolutely amazing for art lovers. It was interesting to see how the artist has overcome the need to have space, money, and resources. The artist in my perspective has given it all the thoughts for kids, adult likes and imagination. Kudos to Randy! Something to do over weekend if you are in Pittsburgh downtown area.

Very artistic and unique place to visit. Definitely a must if you're in Pittsburgh. It's free but donations are accepted. All the effort and work put into this place I do recommend donating.

Kind of reminds me of the junkyard scenes from that 80's movie "Nothing but Trouble", but innocent and colorful. Worth seeing if in town (also because it's free, but donations appreciated).

There’s a lot going on here, visually at least. Read all the signs explaining Randy’s life and vision. Talk to him if he’s around (he seems to always be around, I think he lives there!) but a souvenir, spend a little time. It’s a funky neighborhood as well, seems very safe and super artsy and on the rise.

I love love love this concept! I didn't get to meet Randy which I heard was a special treat but an art garden nestled in the concrete jungle is an escape every city needs. The bright colors brings joy to eyes from blocks away and the more you look closely the more you'll find. Its free but of course donations are highly recommended and there's a store to buy some unique souvenirs. I think my favorite part was lower level with the sand and kids toys. Pure nostalgia and being a backpacker I enjoyed all the travel signs to different cities/places around the world. Street parking is available and wasn't to hard to find a spot. Highly recommend if you have 10 minutes to spare.

Weird, unique, eclectic, strange, odd and totally worth your time. Art comes in all forms. Make a donation while there and support this place. You can spend 15 minutes or two hours. A great break from traditional tourist spots.

I went to Randyland a few summers ago, and still think very fondly back to the experience! I was blown away by all the colors & creativity. The place is packed with items Randy Gilson has recycled & given a second life to! The area is very warm, welcoming, and inviting to all! There was an area for donations, which I believe should be highly encouraged! He even had a little area with merchandise. I have a magnet hanging on my fridge to remind me of the experience!

I had walked past before but never went inside. I was walking kind of late with my dog the other night and he pushed on the door and it was open so we went in. I loved it! Everything about it was so cool and very artsy! Everything was just awesome!

Good for a quick stop to see lots of colours and art projects. It’s very artsy, colourful and fun. But it’s just a corner of the street, 1 private yard, so other than looking around there isn’t much else to do there. But it’s with seeing it for sure!

I'm glad that we decided to stop by this amazing artistic place during our short trip to Pittsburgh. The arts are detailed if you have time and eyes for it. I could only imagine years of effort it took to build anything like this 😲 Did I mention it's also free to visit!! Definitely a Must visit. ✌🏽

I can't believe that I've lived in, or near, Pittsburgh for over 15 years and never took the time to visit Randyland until this past weekend. A MUST see for anyone who appreciates art! The kids loved it! We'll be back again to see how Randyland continues to evolve.
