You can not go wrong with anything on the menu. Anything! They are very good at what they do. Great staff. The gold standard in fried shrimp. And the liver and onions is fantastic! Yeah, I know. If you don't like liver, not my problem. Oh, and where else are you gonna find tapioca on the menu? Served cold or hot, with cream if you like.

Local bar with pleasant service and usually quiet atmosphere. The fish sandwiches are the best in Pittsburgh. Huge portions. Tasty breadcrumb coating. Fried just right. Also the fried zucchini is best in Pittsburgh. Hand sliced. Dipped in parmesan/ bread crumbs. Fried just right. This is old time and authentic bar. Experience the real Pittsburgh in a safe neighborhood, and a friendly bar.

This place is a GEM! not crowded and if it is people are quick on both sides of the plate. Quality menu so much to choose from. The sandwiches make this an outstanding lunch spot! The servers are “pittsburgh friendly” love to chat answer questions run to the kitchen bring your food smile and take care of the next table! Felt like the diner atmosphere where you get great food super fast except this food is delicious as well as fast. Get there soon.

If you happen to be in Millvale, Grant Bar is the go-to restaurant. All of the staff there are so friendly and the food is good and affordable. I especially love their coleslaw and coconut cream pie.

It's seldom that I walk into a place that I've never been in in immediately have an opinion. My friend and I walked into Grant's and a waitress literally screamed because we happened to be in the wrong space. We were actually two of a party of eight and we were there a bit early. Unfortunately she happened to be our waitress. We were eight ladies in our 70s and 80s and she treated us like we were little children. Unfortunately a lot of us in our early lives had been servers just like her. I have never seen a waitress literally yell at people but that's exactly what happened at our table. We all discussed whether we would or would not tip this person instead of how good the food was. Being most of us over tippers, we were certain there was no way this girl was ever going to make even a 20% tip from us. Unlikely that I'm ever going to see the inside of that restaurant again.

Shrimp were fantastic. Waitress amazing! When we were too full for pie she bought us a piece and sent it home with us....fantastic later that night. Definitely returning on our next trip to Burg!

Love the food and the service. One of our go-to Friday night restaurants. However.... please don't bring me 1oz of Maker's Mark on ice in a tiny glass mixed with enough cherry juice to turn the drink red, and call it a Manhattan. Oh, and you charged me $13. Please don't do that!!!!

Meh…got a lot of hype but really wasn’t impressed. It’s a staple here in Millvale and it is by no means bad but it’s not awesome like we were told by everyone. The fish sandwich was the most bland fish sandwich I’ve ever had. Literally tasted like nothing but it was cooked well and was a healthy portion. The price was way higher than it showed online too. Two sandwiches and one piece of pie cost us $40.00. That’s too much for what it was. Definitely won’t be going back here. Pretty big letdown. Sorry.

I went the first time with a group of nine. We were seated almost immediately to a table in the back room. The food came quickly and hot! The onion rings and fried zucchini appetizers were the best that I have ever had. But the most wonderful part was the fresh made coconut cream pie! The crust was amazing! It's the best of ever eaten! If you oder nothing but the pie, you are sure to return.

Absolutely stunning and beautiful inside the restaurant. Will be going back again!! I just wish they delivered. I am disabled and can't get there.

Very cool old school bar & grill. Food was great, terrific service. It was like stepping back 30 years, but in a good way. 👍

I’m not even finished eating here & I had to post about how amazing the food was. I’m a picky girl and my salad was one of the best I’ve ever had. The honey mustard is amazing. BEST BEETS EVER! Yes I love beets. Their home fries are perfect. And the ambience is really homey & friendly!

The food was little better then average the lettuce in the salad was wilted not fresh and crisp , the grease in the fryer was not fresh and at much too high a temperature so the seafood had a burnt and heavy taste definitely understaffed which could have led to the problems and disappointment with the food this particular evening we will try again in the future I've heard good things about this place and I'm willing to try again to see if they get it right, the seafood was a higher quality just was impossible to cook correctly under the circumstances

Very popular place, especially with locals...not difficult to interpret what that means. Had a good lunch, very good pie, but the real attraction....our waitress, Mary Ellen, "the girl with three first names". If you go, do not miss meeting her, she'll make your day.

Amazing hole in the wall. Everything made fresh and homemade even the apple pie. And for the love of God if ya gonna go jus don't think your gonna pop ya head in after 6 and expect a seat. Make a reservation or you'll be upset like Bob and Sue. Js

Lunch was amazing! Mary Ellen was the BEST waitress. Extremely friendly, prompt, and made great recommendations. The reubens were delicious, as were the onion rings and coleslaw. We had a piece of the chocolate cream pie with strawberries. Amazing! Looking forward to returning. If you go… save room for pie!

I was quite impressed with my visit to the Grant Street Bar for a repast. The food was excellent and the staff exceptionally nice. I had the pork chop dinner with carrots and red potatoes, salad, dessert and coffee. The portions were generous and the food seasoned perfectly. I will definitely return and recommend this place to everyone. Great job!
