Massive shopping centre in Newry, with a huge Sainsbury's included. Huge car park( ok for artics). Lots of shops to visit, restaurants, cafè'setc. You could literally spend your day @the quays.Plus, a brand new exciting Next opening in May with a Ground coffee shop inside. Great stuff!👍👍👍

It’s been years since I’ve been here. Quite a few of the shops are now closed and with Debenhams also gone it’s not worth the drive to it unless you’re handy. Some shops are outside the main mall which is a pain in the butt - M&S, Next, M&S Food. Only discovered the M&S shops when driving out to go home as the stores were really only visible as we were exiting. Better if they were under the one roof as by the time you come out of the main mall you can’t be bothered with the other shops. Paying to park is £1 for 1-2 hours. Toilets were upstairs towards the cinema but a few kids were knocking about so security were chasing them out. There’s a small Subway, Café Nerro, Starbucks and Eddie Rockets which is great. Waterstones is the best shop in the complex. Definitely nothing to drag me back to this shopping centre. Plenty of parking though.

The Quays is one of the best shopping centers to shop as it has close to or even more than 50 outlets and almost all of them come under the tier A shops. I went there during the Christmas week and the decor was so lit !! Try out the gumballs and chocolates for a couple of pences that's placed in the walking corridors. Keep track of time !! You do get lost with all the shopping :)

Paid for parking, crazy traffic bumps which will wreck your car... Zero to offer in the centre with so many units empty. It is an insult to ask for paid parking. Nothing to offer. Management are living in Narnia. Only went to get a rugby top from O'Neills which isn't even in the centre. A ghost town. Avoid.

Make sure you have cash for the parking pay stations. I went to 6 and none took card, it is displayed on the stations but in small print and not immediately obvious. In the end I had to get out cash for which the ATM charges 99p to use your debit card. It would help if this info was made obvious at the entrance to the car park, it was easy for (if not a major inconvenience) to get around each one, but for those with kids, elderly, or disabled customers it would be a different story.

Lovely shopping centre to spend the day. Plenty of shops all around. Next and riverside shops are good. Good cinemaPlex as well on the floor too.. Surprise that parking here is not free.. The parking fee is a bit too high. Marks and Spencer's food Hall was very good.. got some lovely food from there.

I hadn't been here for a few years, but I felt it had gone downhill alotThe lovely eatery upstairs was gone and a few closed shops too.

A ghost town comes to mind, If it wasn't for Sainsbury's and the cinema the place would be closed, I went into a clothes shop for a jumper looking to spend in and around 30/40 quid and was told I wouldn't get 1 for less than a £100, It's Newry ffs not Marbella

Family day trip well worth it for bargains. Shopping in sainsburys was a treat and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Nice shopping centre with good range of shops. Has lots of carousel type cars for children and you can hire mini cars to push toddlers around in while you shop. It has a large Sainsburys too. Plenty of parking outside (paid). Large Next store across the street and a number of pharmacies to choose from. The best part of this shopping experience was Santa's Winter Wonderland. There was barely any queue and was only £2/child. They have a lovely wonderland to walk through with a scene from Frozen and A Naughty Elf scene, among others. At the back you get to visit Santa who spends lots of time talking to each child and makes it a very special experience. They get a selection box too. It was such a great experience and nice to see the magic of Christmas alive without fleecing people. Overall it was a nice shopping centre.

Exiting car park is a nightmare, tickets jam, barriers don't work, and whatever you do, don't press the help button. A jobsworth will invite to return to the help desk INSIDE the quays, this is after you've waited 5 mins for the person in front of you, eventually be let out, by the time I'm trying to get through there's a build up of at least half a dozen cars. 😡

No shortage of parking spaces.Remember to give ticket when paying for groceries to staff on tills and part or all of cost will be paid for you. There are a limited amount of shops as some have closed recently. Debenhams closing has had an impact on visitors. Neros coffee friendly atmosphere. Staff in all shops are friendly and professional . M&S food Hall is worth a visit. .

The Quays is a nice shopping experience but unfortunately it would appear that Covid and Brexit took it's toll on many of the original residents as many shops like Dee Lites are now closed. Argos was another but they have now opened up a smaller outlet on the premises of Sainsburys. Otherwise the remaining stores are providing a good service to the customers. The Quays has a nice relaxed and friendly atmosphere for shopping. Well worth a visit.

So disappointed with the quays....this used to be a thriving hive of activity but there are so many shops closed in it now that its pitiful....unless you need to go to sainsburys i'd give it a miss...

Visited this amazing centre.. Fantastic.. My overall experience was excellent.. The lady in customer services was absolutely fantastic.. She went out of her way to tell me how to get to where I wanted to visit.. And her colleague who also helped.. Our visit was absolutely fantastic. Thank you

Only used the Sainaburys but it looked inviting, bright. Nice to see a centre where there were no obvious closed down stores. The ticket collection point at the car park was so high I had to exit the car to reach. I dont think I have ever experienced that before and was odd. Equally I had my parking ticket validated but no one said you still have to put them into the parking paypoint machines before trying to leave. Ended up with a long queue behind me and having to call via the emergency button to be released.

Decided to go up to Newry to see if any bargins were to be had. We did a litle shopping, got a few things but prices are pretty much on par with the south of Ireland. The exchange rate was posted up everywhere, so it was easy to figure out the exchange rate. Very friendly staff in every shop we visited. The centre is very quiet with a few empty lots, but still worth it.

Its "okay" is about the best you can say. Useful for Sainsburys/boots etc - but asking money for parking is a cheek and its lost a lot of its "Halo" stores - so no Pandora any more etc. Its second choice now behind Tesco's for supermarkets in Newry - Tesco's has free parking and a bigger range! Trespass is now closing down, sports direct had also left.

I could find nowhere to eat in the centre. Plenty of businesses there such as Sainsbury's; Marks & Spencer; Boots & O'Neills etc. Plenty of parking with a charge.

Seemed curiously empty. There are a good mix of shops. Coming from the south we enjoyed Sainsbury's.

Was there Friday evening 11/08/23 Guys, if ye are going to open your shopping centre to the public, your toilets need to be open, not just an odd one here and now, and we shouldn't all be carolled in the wheelchair accessible toilets

  • 4/5 celine c. 6 months ago on Google
Spotless clean, a few empty units. But overall good selection of stores and places to eat

  • 5/5 Daniel 5 months ago on Google
Everything you want under one roof. The food stand within the cinema though is daylight robbery, so if you're going there and you want some snacks be sure to go to Sainsbury's before you go in.

  • 2/5 BELFAST J. 2 years ago on Google
The cinema is the only reason I go here, it’s a great cinema But…the centre is dead! There’s nothing here, most shops are gone. We just go to Buttercrane instead, there’s nothing worth seeing here. I would like a cafe open later so there would be something to do after a movie ends. Really hope they revitalise this place or I can see more places closing down in it or moving elsewhere

EV Chargers Just curious to know why the 2 EV chargers in the car park are constantly hogged by the same 2 vehicles, who I believe are office tenants. The chargers are occupied even though the cars have completed the charge. I assume you have no interest in ensuring your customers can make use of a facility that is very scarce around Newry. Either consider putting a 2 or 3 hour limit on these spaces or prohibiting your tenants from using them as they have zero consideration for other EV drivers.

I'm generally short of time, and usually on foot. M&S tends to be my primary - often my only - destination at The Quays. It happens to be the most accessible store for me. I would prefer more space for groceries, and certainly for menswear. The cafe ought to be busier, as indeed ought the food section.

Wanted a new swim suit. M&S had only 3, none my size, something similar across the road, bought one in Next but 3X what I wanted to pay, so not very happy

Sad to see so many vacant units in this once very busy shopping mall. Badly in need of an attractive key retailer to replace Debenhams who can bring back the buzz.

  • 3/5 Kieran M. 2 years ago on Google
The car park can be awkward at times. Also the entrance and exit could better as traffic gets congested... otherwise nice bright and modern.

Gets two stars for the Sainsbury's and Butcher. But it's a waste of a shopping centre. Everything is usually closed pretty early, the shops are pretty meh. Could up their game, especially when the Buttercrane is only over the road

I love the shops in the Quays my favourite being sostrene green but what I especially loved today is seeing the seats out again for much needed rests.

Shopping as a teenager I now realise everything used to be so much cheaper. Great shopping mall for fun day out and come home with a lot less in your wallet!

Somewhat disappointed on my first visit. Expected it to be busy but relatively quiet. Shops are ok.

  • 3/5 Daniel S. 2 years ago on Google
Used to be very good, but very little quality left with the closure of some of the bigger stores (Debenhams, Sport Direct, Monsoon, Top Shop). New additions are often temp stores and not great.

A well organised shopping mall, great shops of high calibre contained within, food outlets, discount store, top class clothing outlets, also have very clean toilets that are constantly monitored and maintained, overall a great shopping experience, well worth the travel distance.

Suffering with the fall out of the pandemic and there's a few vacant stores . Cinema still going strong and a supermarket keeps the place vibrant. Decent pure gym on site with a M&S.

Nice shopping center. Food and clothes cheaper in the Republic. Drink is a lot cheaper up north. If I was going back up it would be just for drink.

Had trouble with the parking pay machine as it wouldn't read my cards. Went to the info desk, the lady was busy but the security guard very kindly walked back with me (a fair distance it was too) to the machine to help me out. Good old fashion customer service and courtesy at its best. Thank you.
