I was horrified by the unnecessary amount of concrete in this place! So many unnecessary ramps and catwalks. The pathways are fine for wheelchairs and buggys! There's no need for so much structure! And so many handrails, and lights and warnings. I don't know what's so dangerous about that place that the government needs to ruin the place to hold the hand of the tourists that visit... I wish I had more pictures to show how ridiculous that was!

The Hill of the O'Neil truly exceeded my expectations with its unique blend of history and natural beauty. The site offers a perfect balance between the informative and the immersive, allowing visitors to delve into the intriguing stories of the O'Neil dynasty while enjoying the serenity of the surroundings. The views from the hill are absolutely stunning, offering a picturesque panorama of County Tyrone's countryside. Taking a leisurely walk through the site, surrounded by ancient ruins, was a truly enchanting experience. It's a perfect blend of history and natural beauty that will leave you feeling connected to the past and immersed in the tranquility of the surroundings. Additionally, the staff's warmth and passion for the site were evident throughout my visit, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the experience. Whether you're a local or a visitor, a trip to the Hill of the O'Neil is a must. It's a place where history comes alive, where breathtaking views inspire, and where a walk through time leaves an indelible mark on your soul. Hill of the O'Neil in Dungannon is a must-visit spot that left me in awe. Whether you're a history buff or simply looking for a peaceful escape, Hill of the O'Neil is a gem that won't disappoint.

Wonderful tour guide round this historical seat of the O'Neill. Pity that the council don't have the foresight to allow parking in the ample grounds of the site.

Great to see this place, brought up near dungannon and this was the first time I was at the top of the hill. Go on a clear day for the spectacular views.

I wasn’t expecting much, but this turned out to be a great stop that over exceeded my expectations. In essence, we had a private tour of the site. You could tell that our tour guide Isaac had a passion for the area and its histor. The tour lasted about an hour, and then we were able to browse the visitor center at our leisure. This is one of those hidden gems that you know that you will remember for a long long time. If you’re in the area this is definitely worth a stop.

Great on a clear day for the view, but a little underused. Maybe that's because the view you seem to see most often is of locked gates, there are 3 entrances, 1 is permanently locked and with the other 2 is anyone's guess as to if and when they are open, very unwelcoming place.

An unexpected treasure. I grew up less than a half hour's drive away and had never been to Dungannon. Lovely town. Great people.

Interesting visitor centre, with fantastic views from the Antrim hills, Slemish, right round to the Mournes, and even towards Augher. Great summer concert venue for the Ulster Orchestra too.

Very interesting museum which shows worldwide events alongside events happening in Ulster for perspective. I'll have to go back on a non-rainy day because the view is supposed to be amazing.

👍👍 Beautiful park, good parking. Gardens and flower beds well presented. Nice to see the ducks, swans on a well managed lake area. If there was some sort of coffee van on site there would be more reason to stay longer.
