I would’ve given them five stars due to their amenities and services. However they charged me twice for my two night stay and when I asked them for a refund on one transaction before I left, the receptionist said they will need to do it the next day because they need to find the receipt, and so I left my number with them. I had a train to catch so I trusted it would go through. After two days I still haven’t received my money or any calls from them, so I call them and they reassure me that they sent it and it will go through in two days. I have since called them three times and each time they say they have sent it, and yet I still have not received my refund. It’s been almost three weeks. It’s ridiculous and wildly unprofessional. I’m a traveling student and I usually stay at hostels but I decided to treat myself this one time and now I’ve been charged $180 USD instead of the $90 USD it should’ve been. I won’t be changing my review until I receive my money.

Stunning hotel! The room was incredibly beautiful and big, with an immense balcony. The swimming pool is without a fault: clean, large and new sun beds, clean and chlorinated water, nicely decorated yard with a few extra tables in the shadow. The strongest asset of the hotel is the saff, who's attention to details and kindness are over the top! A special thank you to Alex and Maria!

Very elegant hotel and lobby. The restaurant attached is decent. Parking was manageable. Room was a good size but needs updating. Reception was available 24 hours.

I highly recommend this hotel with amazing and professional personnel. The service is exceptional all-around, the rooms are always neat in a cosy atmosphere. Chapeau!

As a business traveler, I rarely stay at hotels that are not part of international groups, but I will definitely try to visit more local hotels after the experience I had with this hotel. Rooms are perfect, and beds are comfortable. You can feel that staff is taking care of guests; for example, the receptionist saw that I play online chess, brought a real chess board, and offered a game. What makes business travelers really happy is tasty food after a long day spent at work, and I must say that the chef in this hotel is not a beginner. The tomato soup is perfect—maybe the best I have had, meat also. The chef is not afraid to experiment with spices. The breakfast table has some local specialties, which is a rare situation. The location of the hotel is ideal: at the entrance of the city, easy to arrive and leave, close to the big shopping mall. Next time I visit Craiova, I know where I will stay.

The staff was very nice and helpful, very attentive and welcoming, I’ve booked the 3 rooms for me and my family and because all of us are smokers or at least one from every room they made it posible to have all the rooms with balcony and on the same floor. They changed the sheets and towels every day and even if the cleaners weren’t there anymore they managed to help us with the trash or with fresh towels if we needed extra. Honestly I don’t have anything to complain about this location, just that if fare from the center of the city other then that its perfect

The hotel is more than fine, but the manager... his behaviour towards the customers is unacceptable. For an almost 100 euros/night hotel, the air conditioning A/C does NOT do anything. We ended up with the window opened... and there was lautari music...

Lovely place and staff, my only complaint would be, the tables in the dining/breakfast room need to be cleared promptly and not left as long to be cleared and using a hand held vacuum cleaner to clean the tables is just not correct. It does a poor job and is noisy. Everything else was very good. I would stay again.

Beautiful boutique hotel, excellent facilities.

Thé bedroom is dirty. Some dust and spider web are present on and behind the TV, on the ground... But the main issue is on the bath room... The shower is fully dirty with residual soap, limestone.... That’s a pity because the restaurant is really nice with tasty meals.

Wonderful! The room with the huge balcony was more than perfect! Due to the corona restrictions, the breakfast was served in room service and was super. Highly recommended!

One of the best in Craiova. Good service. Noisy for some rooms situated face to the road. Good food and afordable... Rooms are clean and the staff helpful. Town maps available on site and free of charge.

The best hotel in this city!

The most interesting detail about this property is the fact that it isn’t a classic hotel, it has the feel of a five star resort with apartments. With it’s integrated swiming pool and dedicated parking, The Boutique Hotel La Rocca is a truly beautiful hotel. Although extremely functional and very well arranged the most impressive aspect of this hotel is it’s interior design. It has clearly been conceived by an interior architect and it full of luxurious details such as a barrisol ceiling in the main lobby and movable glass walls in the resaurant/ conference area. To finish my review, the feature that realy sets this place on the European map for awsome hotels is the attitude of the staff, never have I seen, in the whole of Romania, persons with such dedication and so client oriented as in the La Rocca Hotel Boutique. The personel is a game changer in this place! I recommend this place as the very best hotel in Craiova.

New and old...sometimes in the quality of services. Good mood...sometimes bad smell... Deh!...I guess bad MEP maintenance.

Very nice hotel, reception were polite and friendly, the rooms were beautiful, spacious and clean. The minibar was expensive, the breakfast was delicious and had a great selection of food on offer and the room service was excellent. The manager was very helpful. The shower could be more powerful but that's about it. All amenities and extras were a delightful bonus, like the sewing kit, the shoe shine and vanity kit. Will definitely return if I am that way again.
