3 of us ate at the bar this week. I had the Shaq burger with chips (best burger I've had in Barbados & most places in the U.S!). One had the marlin fish dinner & i cant recall what the other had, but we all agreed the food was very good. Great relaxing atmosphere with several regulars. *After posting this review, I recognized 3 Shaq employees in a nearby store. They recognized me too and were really friendly even outside of the restaurant. This is part of what makes a customer a regular!

I’m sure anything you order is excellent. Chef owned and operated. Had the salmon, perfect and my wife had the pork chop. Excellent and definitely will be back.

Ok…..5 Star restaurant within 5 minutes of The Crane Resort! If you go to Barbados, this is a must! The chef comes around and takes time to talk to every guest. He has an amazing kitchen crew and front of the house crew that are amazing. Ok, let’s talk Food. Hands down best Carpaccio I have ever put in my mouth! I had the PorkChops and they were so good, I will be making another trip to get some more of those. My wife had the special of the day, Filet mignon, I had to try it, melted in my mouth with a mushroom sauce and sweet onions, that was amazing! For desert we had the Banana Explosion. Can’t tell you what the explosion part was (you will have to go try it for yourself to find that out), but I will say it was an explosion of taste! What a find! Food selection and preparation is so creative and well done! Every staff member - Maria, Jennifer, Elvis, Tenisha, and the chef - were attentive, joyful, & brimming with energy. The chicken mousse was heaven. The eggplant gratin was very fresh & tender yet hearty. We did not have room for dessert 😢 - but plan to be back Monday night! Chef plans to open for brunch closer to the holidays 😍

Wonderful little spot across from The Crane Resort for great Bajan food. Be sure to make reservations so they can accommodate you and plan for your evening. Great evening. Upon arrival greeted by the lovely friendly and professional staff to the smart rustic decor. Good menu selection. The tuna ta ta, snapper ceviche and tuna main was great. Service was very professional and efficient, couldn’t fault it. Nice touch where the owners and chef comes and checks in and especially when you get to talk French and Italian! Where do I begin? They offer free pick up from the Crane. The owner picked us up and told us their story. It was incredibly inspiring. The food was excellent, and the service was exceptional. Highly recommended this restaurant if you're in Barbados.

Came here as per a recommendation from someone working at a resort and I have to say this was by far the best food I've had so far in Barbados. The service was exactly what it should be- attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. I have a gluten intolerance and she knew everything on the menu I could eat right away. (I apologize I don't remember her name but she had the short red hair) I would LOVE to come back if we have time! Was there in October….. Met the owner a woman from New York by Web of Italy met the staff. Everyone was so nice. We ordered crabcakes to go and we took them back to our hotel room which was a far away……. Got to the room opened up our food Dug in and they were salmon cakes. I was FURIOUS!!!. I would’ve walked all the way back, but I had problems with my knee, but I would never recommend them to anyone. The deception had me angry.😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

Wonderful experience. Loved the decor and ambience. The food was delicious, rich and exceptional. The escargot fricassee should be on everybody's must try list. The watermelon salad was also delicious. The chef came out to greet us and the staff was top notch. The Banana Explosion was super yummy and shared by our table. Can't wait to go back. Love that they filled the space left by Marco Polo.

Last year (2024), it was probably the best meal I had in Barbados. Susan has Foie Gras it was very expensive but very tasty..This year I had the Tuna indochine which was very, very sweet. Not to my pallete. Susan's steak was overcooked. The owners cancelled our booking at Derierre. Our last night was going to be special. I had already chosen what I was goi g to eat.

Very disappointing - tuna dish too sweet, measly portion of foie gras, steak over cooked ... The staff were very nonchalant and blase when we expressed how we felt. What a gem of a restaurant on this island. Would highly recommend to anyone who loves great food without the pretentiousness that often comes with establishments in Barbados.

We waited till the last night we were here to try this restaurant. It's a 10/10. If this was in San Diego, it would give all the high-end restaurants a run for the best of the best. We had the crab cakes and watermelon salad to start. Can I say my wife's eyes rolled in here head! We felt it was going to be a good night. For our dinner, I had the aged ribeye, and next time, I'm getting it medium-rare. I should have known based on our starters to have a little more respect for the chef. Either way, it was still juicy and seasoned to perfection. The wife had the shrimp risotto, and oh my! 10/10. Our service was so inviting, and we felt right at home. Our server was very tentative and very informative about the menu. Top 3 restaurants in Barbados 🇧🇧. We will be back soon.

Even though they use an oven brick to make their pizza it comes out burnt. They should be more careful. And the grilled octopus was less than desirable. They are very attentive and do ask if the food is ok a lot but most people won’t say no. They just eat, grin and bear it. It’s a nice atmosphere. Their deserts are decent. A one and done. I wouldn’t go back.

We stayed at The Crane for our honeymoon and walked to Le Shack for dinner on recommendation from someone we ran into at the beach. So glad we did! First off, the place is so adorable! Beautiful decor and really nails the fancy yet cozy vibe. All night the service was incredible. We had the ceviche, carpaccio, risotto, fish of the day, dessert, cocktails... everything was delicious! Still thinking about that chocolate mousse. Absolutely recommend!

It was a really lovely meal. Flying fish mousse, followed by skillet ( beans, sausage, prawns....). My wife had ceviche followed by lamb shank.. I cannot fault anything.

My wife and I came here on our Honeymoon. We didn't announce it, but we were treated as if we were special anyways. The owners came around to say hi to everyone, Analissa was at our table for around 5 min or so with pleasant conversation. After our absolutely delectable, sinfully delicious meal, my wife overheated the entire staff, and the owners, made sure she was okay and coordinated a ride home for us. I can easily say that this was the best service, and best food, I've ever had in my memory. Bless this place.

Staff here is wonderfully warm and the food is consistently good. Atmosphere is casual chic. Best steak on the island we’ve had so far! (We tried the filet mignon and ribeye.) Cocktails are unique, well-balanced, and not overly strong. The apple tartine for dessert is amazing, with a carmelized taste.

We started coming here since moving back to Barbados and wandering in one busy evening, to sit at the bar and watch the amazing staff serving a packed house. They found a late table for us, and our server, Shanell, was wonderfully attentive even though we were at the end of service. We ate and took no photos, but knew we would be back! Aaaaand here we are one week later, for my birthday with family; and again it was stellar. We had "too much choice dilemma"; but our server Jennifer helped us decide on the famous Le Shak burger, the perfectly cooked sirloin and mash, and one of the specials this evening, the roasted half duck. We washed it all down with wine, cocktails and mocktails , and finished with tarte tartin. Fabulous. And we remembered photos this time! 😁🫠

Best restaurant on the island hands down. Haven’t had a bite of bad food at this place, highly recommend every dish I’ve had. For appetizer, I recommend the escargot. The broth is to die for. Steak for the main course is fantastic as well as the salmon.

We've experienced a lot of the Barbados culinary scene and this nondescript, low-key restaurant is as good as it gets on the island. Worth the drive if you're staying in Bridgetown or St. Lawrence Gap, this 20 - 25 minute drive won't leave you disappointed. The owners are engaged and genuinely care about your experience. No pomp and stance here - The food is excellent with a great mix of cultural influences. I would recommend throwing this place on your list of "must-try" restaurants when you're visiting the beautiful island of Barbados.

The atmosphere was amazing. The food was fantastic, the staff, service, chef and owners are amazing. We had lobster risotto, snails, Caesar salad, crème brûlée, key lime pie and ordered a margarita pizza to go. It was all delicious. Would highly recommend and will definitely go back

The good: The atmosphere and decor are lovely. We got the stormy days cocktails, the tuna entree, and some sides. The fish was fresh and amazingly prepared and the drink was delicious. The bad: Service was abysmal. We waited at least 20 minutes before we were even greeted and we had a difficult time learning what the specials even were. By the end of the meal service improved, but it left a bad taste. The rice that our fish rested on was dry and starchy. A big disappointment in an otherwise great dish.

I’ve tried *almost* everything on their menu, so it’s safe to say Le Shack is a favourite. It’s the best place to lime, have a cocktail, eat amazing dishes, and enjoy the company! J’adore <3

Everything about our experience here was top notch. Super friendly staff. Atmosphere was very comfortable, very nice style to the restaurant. The food was excellent! Best ceviche I've ever had. My wife loved the gazpacho. Very interesting and tasty salad combinations too. Nice cocktail menu and wine selection. To top it off, we got to meet the chef. Wonderful experience.

We’ve been here twice in the two weeks we were staying down here. The atmosphere is delightful for both dinner and brunch. The food is delicious (an understatement really). You can tell the menu is intentionally and thoughtfully prepared and executed. Local ingredients shine in each dish that our table ordered. The watermelon salad is fabulous. The burger is no ordinary burger - stacked high and full of flavor. The key lime pie was an heavenly end to our brunch. Our group left full and happy both times. Le Shack is a must when visiting St. Philip.

Absolutely Brilliant! Many local restaurants make you choose between good food or good service, le shack gives you all two both. 😆 The Owner and His Wife check on each table throughout your dining experience, and, the Head Waitress was phenomenal. The entire outdoor team was attentive and efficient. The food was excellent. Price to portion ratio was spot on. We had a blast! Hoping to return soon.

This place by far is greater and better than the restaurants at the the crane Hilton. The atmosphere is so relaxing . Great for couples night ! Our server Jennifer was awesome. Tanisha was also great ! She was always Walking around the tables to check if anyone in our party wanted anything else or if something was missing . Great place . Sorry I couldn’t resist taking a bite of my salmon .

From start to finish the service is impeccable. Very friendly. This is the second time we have been with a different group of friends and both times the food has been amazing. This place is a must while you are visiting the island or a local.
