FAB XMAS DINNER ! Used to be rough. People barred from other pubs used to go here, I didn't even like walking past it ! Refurb, new landlords, pleasure to walk by. During lockdown, took it off their own backs to supply food | hot drinks for the displaced community . Also the best Asahi pint around .

If you haven’t been in The Angel & Crown, don’t worry, you still have plenty of opportunities!! This is one of the most amazing, traditional and top vibe English bar. Excellent menu, diversity every night, outstanding live music on Saturdays and something you cannot miss if you are from or just passing by Richmond. You cannot miss it 😊!! Definitely a place to visit!!!

Lovely little pub that I never knew existed in Richmond. Very friendly and attentive staff. It is a great dog friendly pub! The food was tasty, and the pints were refreshing. Look forward to coming back :-)

Delicious food, ingredients of a very good quality. On the Sunday menu they even had tapas when I went. Don't expect the price of Wetherspoons though, you pay the quality but especially the location, very central and close to the river front. Me and my family bumped here by chance, but if I have to be honest, I would come back again and avoid the massive crowd on the other pubs by the river. The place is cosy and welcoming. The staff managed to find us a table but I recommend you to book in advance cause it seems you may not find a space otherwise (we didn't know that of course)

An absolute gem of a pub. A very homely atmosphere and very near to Richmond Tube. There is an interesting selection of loose nuts (cashew, pistachio etc) in jars that can be purchased too. An excellent pint of pride, didn't dine there but will do in the future.

The Angel and Crown, tucked away on Church Lane in Richmond is a simple gem of a place, part of the Fuller's empire. It is a small one and a bit roomed pub with a great range of cask and keg ales/beers/ciders to keep us all happy. Great staff offering great service. A most enjoyable place to visit.

Had a nice Sunday lunch here . I had the chicken and my partner had the beef. Good portions and served with piping hot roast potatoes, parsnips, cabbage, mashed carrots and a huge Yorkshire pudding with gravy on the side. Friendly and efficient staff.

Current 4.4 rating is not accurate. Came here for lunch last week on a rare sunny day. Staff were very friendly. However, food was poor. We got two burgers £15 each: The chips were clearly cooked in really old oil. The beef patty was over cooked and the brioche bun was flat and soggy. Worst of all, the ketchup and mayonnaise were brought out in jars with a spoon in it. I couldn’t be sure other customers hadn’t dipped a chip in it. It seemed really unhygienic. Overall a poor meal that ruined an otherwise lovely day.

Located smack bang in the middle of Richmond. Good pub ambience. Nice food menu with well thought-out selection of tantalising contemporary dishes and a wide array of ales and beers. I had the sirloin steak served with mushrooms, mixed leaf salad, peppercorn sauce and triple cooked skin-on chips. My lunch companion had the cider and herb battered hake fillet with tartare sauce, garden peas and triple cooked chips. I must say the food was generally above average quality. The restaurant team and the waiting staff were extremely polite, eager to help and very cheerful. There is outdoor seating and dogs get a water bowl which is great.

Welcoming pub, affordable meals, and lovely service. Solo dined here and had the Beef & London Pride Pie. The beef was tender, the pastry was flakey, and the mash was super yum. Thank you Hannah for the hospitality.

Tucked away on the pedestrian path is the best food you will find in Richmond. This traditional local pub has it all - friendly staff, great atmosphere and most importantly A B S O L U T E L Y incredible food. I had a Brazilian steak with chips the likes of which I hadn’t have since Brazil. The meat was perfect and juicy, the chips were thick real potato slices (not the usual processed stuff you get everywhere, proper ones made from scratch) and everything was freshly made and incredibly flavorful. I cannot recommend it enough. They also have an excellent finger food selection with a Brazilian twist (I had the cheesy bread) in addition to traditional pub classics, which I still need to try. And when I thought it couldn’t get any better, there came the dessert - spanish style churros so perfectly finished I find it hard to describe. Totally recommend, you’re in for an amazing foodie experience. Hats off to Chef Geovani

Used to go there before new owners, changed the beers ,have to pay by card, had to ask how much the drinks were ,some local lads had a water fight in the toilet. Maybe give it a miss next time in Richmond

Enjoyed our visit to the Angel & Crown. It was probably one of few pubs visited that felt like a locals place. The bartender & people coming in knew each other by name.

A lovely local pub with great food, beers and entertainment. If you like rugby, the games are shown live on big match days.

Fantastic welcome here. Spoke with three members of the team all three were wonderful, a credit to the pub. Flood was delicious and a cracking selection of drinks. Audible "buzz" in here. This is a proper pub.

My first visit to this pub. I went for the band and they didn't disappoint. Excellent in fact. The pub is well worth visiting anyway. Great choices of drinks and the staff are great. A very good experience.

A pub that you can quite easily miss up a side alley. The pub itself I would describe as cozy. It's card only which may be an issue with some customers. Spoke to the owner Hannah who was pleasant enough prices of beer was basically London prices. If you don't like crammed pubs then this would be ideal.

I visited here with my husband and our dog and we had such a lovely time. The drinks are very reasonable, especially for Richmond, and the pub itself was very cosy, clean and welcoming with a relaxed atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and kind too. We're looking forward to returning to try their food soon! Thank you guys for a great evening (especially as we'd both had a stressful day before arriving!).

Lovely place down a side street... Epic transport fail brought us to this place. We were able to see the game we couldn't get to and enjoyed it so much we stayed for the Sunday roast menu. Delightful and lovely beers and wines to compliment the menu. If you are ever at a loose end in Richmond, try it for yourself!

Delicious food! I'm not a big fan of fish but must say, that was the best fish n chips I ever had. Will definitely come back!

It’s Wednesday evening 5pm ish.. I can’t be bothered to cook, I order the Pork belly…. Within half an hour it arrived at my table… a ring of pork belly a-top of shredded cabbage and creamy mash potato… with a light gravy moat…. The most wonderful pork with crispy crackling and beautifully seasoned…. What a midweek treat… 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 thank you 🏆 03/04/22 Popped in to the A&C Sunday lunchtime… my friend ordered the beef roast and I wanted to see if the continuity of the roast pork would stand up? I was not disappointed…. Absolutely perfect… really! Perfect! 10/10. The service is the best balance of friendly coupled with efficiency. Great atmosphere with a friendly, comfortable vibe…

Hannah, Dean and the team are superb and went above and beyond to accommodate a group of 12 of us for a 30 year reunion. Great food and drink, and brilliant live music in the main bar in the evening. I arrived at 11am and left at 11pm and I enjoyed every minute.
