I came to NY from across the ocean and I had to visit Mama jo’s. I found good food, good price and an excellent welcome. She is a wonderful person and her food is marvelous. You can find classic NY breakfast bagel sandwiches to greek tastes. Weekly special with a sandwich, donut and coffee is a good full meal. Thank you!

Lovely delicious and affordable breakfast. Open from 4am, great for early risers. Highly recommend the breakfast combo for $7 you get egg cheese and meat sandwich, a donut and either a small coffee or juice or a banana. There's a lot of construction nearby so you might have to yell a bit to be heard over the noise. Mama Jo is sweet, I'll be back for sure.

Had to go check out Mama Joe’s and I was NOT disappointed! She was super nice from the greeting to the delivery. Ordered a bacon - egg and cheese on an everything bagel and a really hot coffee! She wasn’t kidding it’s hot! 😆 The bagel was super delicious soft and moist. It’s was exactly what I expected from a NYC bagel!

Told a friend I woke up at 4am jetlagged & hungry - he pointed me to Mama Jo's. And wow, what a gem! Mama Jo told me she's (xx) y/o (ok I can't remember the age she shared because I was still jetlagged but also because she looks waaaaaay younger than the number she mentioned so it did not register lol). & that she's been doing this for 45 years. 😳 I commented - you must enjoy this so much & that must be the source of your youthful look! She then went on to share the most meaningful advice with me (& allow me to paraphrase...) "I have never done anything that I don't enjoy. If you do things that you enjoy, you get good at it, you will be happy and the money will naturally come." Great life lesson & as a bonus, great yummy food too (I don't even know what Spanakopita is before today - the spinach with feta cheese in pastry tastes so good, for some weird reason, it tasted like a very mild version of my fav preserved Chinese veg 'Mui Choy', preserved mustard greens lol; & the Italian omelette is on point)! P/S cash only though

Mama Jo is such a sweetheart that the food didn’t even had to be good - yet it is delicious! I had the Weekly Special and it’s a full meal for a cheap price. The cinnamon donut was my favorite. She also takes fun videos of costumers, you can check them at her Instagram profile!

Cheap and delicious bagels (and the donuts as well). The coffee is really good. We went here for breakfast and ordered 2 large capuccinos, 2 bagels and a large donut for $8'50. Great value for money!

I’m not from the city, so I’m not accustomed to food carts. WOW! The reviews are accurate! This is a gem! Mama Jo and her 40+ years experience brings delicious food at an unbelievable price. Her weekday special is unheard of. Best part might be talking with Mama Jo! Highly recommend!

The ABSOLUTE best breakfast cart in New York City. They have better quality food and choices than most established restaurants. Never had a bad experience in all the years I have been coming here. Located on the corner of 47th and Park Avenue. It’s all good!

We had the best and most reasonably priced breakfast NY at Mama Jo’s and such a friendly, welcoming experience. This is a cart so no seating is available, ensure you understand this before leaving negative reviews, but the food is fresh and delicious!

Food was freshly made and fast service. Owner was a friendly soul which we appreciated in the NYC! Respectable prices and quality of food was spectacular. A must if you are within 5 blocks looking for breakfast and on a time schedule to start your day. Will come back during our next visit here.

Gotta love Mama Jo’s cart. Mama Jo is so friendly and makes everyone feel welcome. Is it the best breakfast sandwich you will have? The egg and cheese on a roll tasted like any other one I have had but it is served with love. The weekly special is a great deal. It is a breakfast sandwich, donut, and juice for $7. What a deal. I will come back when in the area. Nice gem on the east side.

If you're vegan, this is not a trap! This lady knows what's up. Her daughter is vegan and she will not lead you astray. Fed me an excellent olive bread, which was kind of like a roll split into with a filling of black olives and sauteed onions, delicious. Will also whip up sauteed veggies with beans in a wrap. Never thought I'd be able to eat off of a food cart and it's right outside Grand central, can't miss.

Delicious! Glad I discovered this gem and within a few blocks of where we were staying. A simple text message saying I'd be there in 15 minutes and this delicious food was ready. Highly recommended! 🌯

What a lovely place to have breakfast in NY, some of the best spanakopita we've had (and we're Greeks!). Jo is a lovely lady so glad we visited her cart, thank you!

I went to Mama Jo's close to closing time, but she still took care of me and made sure I was able to leave full. The bagel sandwiches are amazing, and the pastries were delicious as well. Plus, you can't beat her prices. Highly recommend!
