I have heard very negative things about hearing aids. I got tiered of saying “what” so I went to see Dr.Scarlatti. I left about 90 minutes later. I can hear perfectly. Everything about the service and professionalism cannot be better. I can recommend this center to everyone. It’s only been 3 weeks, but I am so satisfied. I've been seeing JinBo, at the RWJ Balance & Hearing Center for almost a month now and my struggles with vertigo have improved dramatically. He is extremely knowledgeable, patient and takes the time to explain what is happening, why and what we're going to do to fix it. He is as determined as I've been to make me better. I highly recommend this place! It's a very nice, clean environment and everyone here is friendly. There's plenty of parking too.

Everyone here was friendly and professional, providing reassurance and answers to questions. They worked with my general practitioner to get me in and I didn’t have to speak with my insurance company at all, it was all handled. The therapy was one on one so I had JinBo’s full attention (unlike at most pt places) and he explained everything he was doing in a way that was easy to understand, he’s wonderful. Definitely recommend this place for people with balance issues.

I've had hearing loss for quite some time and waited too long to do something about it. My primary doctor referred me to Dr. Sgarlato, AU.D. (Lorraine) at the Balance and Hearing Center at RWJ, Hamilton. Over the course of the next four visits with Dr. Sgarlato and her staff (Kim and Sam), I learned much, from the initial hearing test to being a full-time hearing aid wearer. The support and patience from Lorraine are the main reasons I am using the hearing aids all day, every day. My hearing loss in certain measures extends all the way to the profound, yet I can function so much better in all situations (just ask my wife). Just prior to my last appointment, we were with two friends at a restaurant, seated outside, just below a speaker playing music. With conversation among the four of us and the music, my wife says I interacted with everyone that day more than I have in a very long time. Thank you, Lorraine!! After my fourth visit, I was told my next appointment would be in 3 months. These guys (Lorraine, Kim and Sam) had become so comfortable to deal with, I actually felt bad that I didn't have an appointment for next week! John Mumber

I have been a patient of Dr Lorraine Sgarlato and the Hearing nj Balance Center for several years. My audiology care has been excellent. I received care at Columbia Presbyterian in NYC for several years in the early years of my hearing difficulties and my care at RWJBH has been equally as good and professional. Dr Sgarlato and her staff, including the administrative assistants, provide care and services in a totally professional environment with the utmost care and concern. It's hard to find a Pediatric Audiologist that's outside of Children's Hospital. I had the nicest doctor a woman taking care of my 2-year-old toddler... She could not have been sweeter. She was patient and she has a warm personality you can tell she was like a mother and a grandmother. Very different than the audiologist at Children's Hospital on Quaker bridge road.

I started here at the RWJ Hearing and Balance to address my balance that was off due to a brain injury. I was treated by Jinbo who had been very informative concerning my balance as it relates to brain injury and supplied me with further resources. I highly recommend this part of RWJ to meet your balance therapy and hearing needs. All the staff here are wonderful, helpful and kind.

Jin Bo was great to work with . He is extremely knowledgeable in his field. He explained everything to me without a problem. He answered all questions I had. It is going to be great working with him for the next several weeks. I highly recommend him as his personality is great, his knowledge is amazing, and he's just a great person!
