This was a great little coffee and bookstore! A must see if you're in Brooklyn, New York. Maybe you can photobomb by Dali while you're there.

This place is seriously the greatest. It’s an amazing concept: books, pastries and coffee. And the pastries are so good. And the winner of all is the employees are KIND. finding people who care about your establishment and actually treat customers with kindness is not so easy to come by. Surprisingly great used books in this coffee shop. Honestly it could hold up on its own sans coffee. Coffee is of course great. I have to say, they could do so much better if the location had more foot traffic because they deserve it

I recommend their coffee. Cappuccino was so creamy. The space is good for book lovers.

Best matcha around this neighborhood which is very hard to find. The pastries are great, the staff is nice which is also rare and the concept is awesome. They have a large selection of books and strongly curated from social justice to poetry to classics for cheap. They don’t get annoyed if want to customize your order which I really appreciate. I’ve lived in the neighborhood for 7 years, this place is fairly new and I prefer coming here over the several options we have.

Barista’s beard hair was found in my coffee. Incredibly unpleasant experience. Staff was not very apologetic. Better hygiene practices should be enforced

This place is NEVER open!!! Based on Google Maps AND the sign on the door, the bookstore portion should be open from M-F 3pm-7pm. Today I came by around 4:30pm and it was closed. In fact, I’ve attempted to come here on 5-6 separate occasions and it has only been open once. There’s another sign on the door that says the cafe hours are from 8am-3pm. I came on a Saturday once with friends and an employee had put up a piece of paper saying they were closed till 1pm. We had to make other plans. This place needs to either update their actual hours with clarity, or actually just be open when they say they will be. What is the point of having a neighborhood bookstore if it’s never open and therefore never reliable?

I stopped randomly stopped by after doing some errands and ended up getting a book and a cup of coffee and I'm glad I did. What a neat little store. I snagged an insanely affordable new paperback. And lets talk about their beans. I'm a coffee person and let me tell you that this coffee is PRETTY DARN GOOD. Like, seriously. It's been a whiiiiile since I've had a decent drip but this coffee was just straight up fantastic. The staff is also really sweet, so we're planning on making this our new place. Highly recommend. Cute place, nice barista, great drip coffee. Love browsing the used books. Bonus their counter stools are actually comfortable and they had one GF cookie when I went

I love Burly in general, but this specific location has a great vibe, a great book selection, and I couldn't tell you why, but my latte drinks always just seem to taste better here. And bonus points, the music is always really good—two of my favorite albums I've gotten my hands on so far this year were thanks to the baristas on duty.

I just left Burly and bookstore and it made my morning. I was greeted by the most cheery barista and served a lovely latte just for me. Thanks you, Burly!

Average drip coffee, nothing special but the price was 5 dollars for a large coffee, which is ridiculously expensive for this quality of coffee, definitely not worth the money...

Amazing books. Baristas are always so so so rude . Like dark grumpy energy . Always . I live around the corner and refuse to give them my money at this point . Not only is their attitude terrible but they don’t know how to make a latte

Lots of books, cute furniture with limited seating but always good coffee at Burly! :)

Came here after throwing out a disappointing cortado from elsewhere. The barista was friendly, my cortado was made quickly and correctly, and the coffee was tasty.

Amazing choice of coffee shop. Zach was super helpful and the coffee was delicious.

I don't understand. Why is everybody that works here so incredibly rude all the time? Why does everybody that works in a Bed Study coffee shop act like this?

Some of the best coffee to go I've ever grabbed! Employees are always very sweet. I can't wait until they fully open up so I can peruse books as well. Good luck during this time, glad to see you're still going strong!

This is one of my absolute fave coffee shops - their matcha latte is the best i’ve tried thus far in NYC. Cherries on top are the kind staff & super interesting book selection with enough indoor seating for ~6 people.

Had an incredible matcha latte here. The space is intimate and the staff welcoming. Lovely books to be found here as well!

Love to come here and get work done, have a nice read or catch up with a friend! Also Sara is awesome. One of my favorite neighborhood spots.
