This
place
offers
a
nice
much
needed
break
from
the
big
chain
fast
food
spots.
The
fact
that
they’re
always
busy
is
a
testament
that
they’re
doing
things
right.
The
menu
is
huge.
Everything
you
need
after
a
night
out,
or
an
afternoon
of
watching
the
Bears
lose
is
on
that
magical
menu
board.
The
hamburger
actually
fits
the
oversized
bun
and
it
tastes
like
a
hamburger
that
you
might
remember
from
a
different
time.
Replete
with
vegetables
that
have
names
you
can
actually
recognize
such
as
fresh
tomatoes
and
onions,
and
a
hunk
of
plain
old
American
lettuce,
the
hamburger
is
honoured
here
as
a
staple
of
American
fast
food.
Salads,
warm
up
foods
like
poppers
and
fries
are
all
about
what
you’d
expect
on
the
South
Side
of
Chicago
when
it
was
actually
the
Great
South
Side.
Service
is
fast
because
there’s
always
someone
behind
you
in
the
drive-thru.
A
hamburger
with
a
Greek
salad
is
a
full
meal
and
well
worth
the
price.
I
get
a
side
of
extra
dressing,
but
that’s
just
me.
The
gyros
sandwich
is
two
meals
for
me.
It’s
a
typical
gyro
with
actual
taziki
sauce
(sp)
like
you’ve
had
a
a
hundred
other
gyro
joints
except
this
one
has
too
much
meat
(a
plus)
and
nice
warm
fresh
pita
bread.
I
imagine
that
you
could
go
wrong
at
Poor
Boy’s,
but
I
never
have.
If
you’re
looking
for
quick,
non-franchise
joint
food,
eat
in
or
drive-thru,
stop
in
at
either
location.
