Your service at this establishment is solely based upon this establishments view of YOU as a human in their restaurant. Looking to try the "best pizza in the country" (what a joke) and all I was served were looks, some water and... that's it. After seated the waitstaff did everything they could to not take our order. People were seated after us and given the quality service we expected. We left after realizing we were not going to be served. It is places like this that I'm really sorry exist. Michael's Pizzeria "most discriminatory pizzeria" in the country selling narcissism by the slice.

I had a friend in town visiting and I made the error of assuming since Michael's is in a nice area of Naples that it was a respectable and professional Italian restaurant. This experience was so awful and ridiculous you'd think it was a prank on a hidden camera show. When we arrived for an early dinner around 5:30 there were only two other patrons. The waiter was rather snooty and seated us. My friend is African American, and after looking over the menu we were ready to order. Though the waiter was not helping any other customers , we waited at least another 20 minutes before he took our order. I was getting a bad vibe and we should have just walked out but we were both hungry. When I asked the waiter about vegan and vegetarian options, he rudely rolled his eyes and said all orders were as stated. We ordered some salads and a veggie pizza. After nearly 45 minutes we were handed this mediocre greasy pizza that was not really cooked properly in the middle. After waiting another several minutes we said this pizza wasn't cooked properly. We got an abusive attitude. I am an Italophile and have always loved Italy and Italian cuisine but was so disgusted by this place: their unprofessionalism, marked racism, over priced mediocre food, and attitude that I and all my neighbors will never be supporting this joke establishment. SHAME on MICHAEL'S! I have always supported restaurants and small businesses in the area and have wonderful service from other places. I was really sad to hear Z Pizza closed it's doors (why we came to Michael's in the first place). Because Z Pizza had excellent vegan pizza delivered in 30 minutes for a nominal fee and their salads were good too. Michael's of Naples goes down as one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had. CUSTOMER BEWARE!

1 star for a good tasting margherita pizza. The service here is horrible. When we entered we stood for a few minutes waiting for a server to acknowledge us in this tiny restaurant. When We were finally told we could just sit anywhere the waiter came up to us like 15 minutes later and We ordered a margherita pizza and the bake fusilli. It took us 45 minutes to get our orders. the restaurant wasn't even full at the time. I noticed other tables were given bread except us. We were starving by the time the food finally got to us. Pizza was great. Fusilli was horrible ...it looked like a Mac n cheese, way too saucey, had no flavor and had 2 bits of sausage in it. This cost $14. And I know, you're saying why did u get pasta at a place known for their pizza...in the downtown location I've had their pasta and it's delicious. She also never came in between our order to update us that the food would be a little bit longer to give us a chance to I dunno order an appetizer or something. They seemed like the y get a lot of to go orders and it seemed like their number one priority.

MICHAEL'S PIZZERIA IS CLOSING. Always had great pizza although less care is taken these days than before and the presentation is off. Waitstaff is terrible, snotty and lazy. If the owner is reading this YOUR STAFF RUINED THIS RESTAURANT. Waited 20 minutes for a salad. 70 minutes for two pizzas (pizzas take 5 mins in a wood fired oven). Waiter offered to bring a sample of a wine, charged full price for it! Brought a second round after 20 mins. Waited for the check for 20 mins. Terrible experience, send in people to audit your staff!

The food was okay and the service was alright. But the comments made by the server were unnecessary. “ that’s ordering light” “ are you going to be able to finish that pizza” “ I see you have you’re purse on, so I brought the check”. Well maybe, I will order more later; I might use a box, yes please. And maybe I wouldn’t be running out the door if this place wasn’t so bad.

My hubby always said this is one of the best pizzas in the county. Today, we finally went there. My first visit, and his first visit after 4 years. On the way to the restaurant, I read a review saying the sauce and dough was bland, my heart sank a bit. I told my hubby, ‘we will be the judge!’ And now I have to agree with the previous review. The sauce wasn’t just bland but also watery. The only flavour that the pizza had was the ingredients they put there when you tasted them individually... they actually didn’t blend in that well. The key to the pizza is the sauce and the dough apart form the ingredients. I guess 4 years ago was the time it’s awarded one of the best pizzas in the US. Sadly, I couldn’t taste the same flavour anymore. To be fair, the salad was quite good! And the IPA as well!

Ordered a few pizzas.. and was looking forward to it.. after all this place received the Zaggat recognition of best pizza in the country back in 2013... Well... out of 3 pizza, one was edible, the rest not so much.. dough as hard as cardboard. Overloaded... the over one we ate because we were starving. Do mess up pizza that bad one simple does not care. What a shame. Read the reviews.. many echo what I am saying. Clearly the place has gone downhill and quality and craft is no longer a focus. To avoid at all cost!!!

Here on vacation and stopped in for lunch. The food was amazing! Easily in my top 5 best pizzias! If you are looking for a good wood fired pizzia, this is the place! Service was great as well! I will definitely return when back in the area.

This is some of the best pizza I've ever had. This pizza is not only one of the best I've had anywhere in the US (between LA, San Francisco, Chicago, NY among others), it also competes with pizza I've had in Italy. Delicious and authentic. Not to be missed.

I came here a longass time ago when they first opened and the service and food was so legit. It was all Italian guys back then. I had the pistachio mortadella bianco pizza and I’ve had dreams about it ever since. I came back today with my husband and I was scared to order the same pizza because I wasn’t sure it would be as good as I remembered it and I really didn’t want to ruin that memory. Our waiter decided for me and it was chef kiss freaking perfect. He was the coolest guy and we wish he could have hung out with us the whole meal. This place is 10/10 100% of the time. Thanks Ben!

I was expecting more. I love that they are farm to table and focus on clean, wholesome organic products and they make their own seltzer water but the food was not as flavorful as I expected. I prefer LA Parolaccia Osteria in Long Beach for Italian cuisine.

Our experience here was absolutely amazing! When we first got there it seemed small, but the menu looked good, so we decided to try it. That was the best decision we could've made. The food was delicious, and the service was wonderful. The appetizers and dinner were spread out, which made it easier to enjoy all the food. The servers there are always so inviting and amazing. Both Ben and Mace are always so good to us and have treated us like family. The world needs more people like them! Overall, it was an amazing experience!

It was a wonderful find. Ann made my day! Explained to this nerd the choices. Fresh ingredients, freshly made home cooked and prepared.

You just have to know that when you have a local Italian family. That's not only in the restaurant business but knows a lot about cooking that. You're gonna get some really fun and authentic food to go at the market and you do. Just go try and support a great new version of a local business. The sauces and the pizza are excellent.

Small. Has a bench outside with a heater overhead. Also some were waiting nextdoor at Michael's bar and restaurant. Pizza was better than average. Also the roasted vegetables was a good appetizer to split between two.

I’ve been to Rome and Florence Italy:) I can say Michael’s Pizzeria is definitely on par with the authentic Italian cuisine:) Their Pizza was more tasty then the one I had in Rome:)
