Great place and ambience; it gives me Indian vibes once you step in the restaurant! The waiter is from India or Pakistan and is super friendly! Everything good, but the food didn’t make me WOW unfortunately. I’m used to better Indian dishes and flavours and I was really expecting more. The butter chicken was plain and all the curry were not spicy at all even tough we asked for the original flavour (spicy). Maybe they went easy on us, but still, it gave me a feeling that I could make myself a better dish… Also the appetiser was dry and the lassi tasted just like a milkshake. A bit disappointed for my standard but maybe this is the average for Bologna. Very unfortunate experience. I hope they can work on those flavours and bring in the real OG ones.

Had dinner here last week with 2 friends and it was a great experience. Veggie friendly, good atmosphere, affordable wine and everything tasted good. Plenty of other dishes worth trying on a return visit.

This restaurant simply has the best authentic Indian food anyone could wish for. I have had Indian food in more than a dozen countries, and this truly has been the best one ever. Generous portions, authentic food without coloring... etc. Very reasonably priced. Anyone in Bologna must try it! Along some photos from what we had :)

Very authentic food, a great finding indeed. Perfect balance of spices, and they do have big portions. Only problem I might say is that the plate is so big that food cool down way too fast before you can finish all of them.

It was good to have Indian after 2 weeks of straight Italian food. The dal tarka, roti, saage paneer were yum. Wasn't a fan of the chicken Tikka grilled or the regular lassi. The mango lassi was also good. A good break after a while.

Amazing place to dine! I’m Panjabi from London, England and some places at home don’t even come close to this cuisine. Food is consistent and flavourful. Different meats actually taste different! Not just thrown in one pan to cook. Sauces / masala are very mild and measured correctly. Staff are extremely welcoming and professional. If you want a mixed grill and some butter chicken, this is the place to be! (Get tanked up prior to going though, because no booze inside). ENJOY!!

Extremely bad indian food, infact worst I have ever put into my mouth! The rice was oily the chicken was of good quality which was completely offsett by a sauce that lacked texture and taste. The "Curry" that does not deserve that name, it was only spicy, that's it not even a hint of curry. The Naan was not only written incorrectly on the menu, it was just a mere convenience pizza dough brushed with cheap oil an propably microwaved. The food arrived after 5 minutes which speaks for itself. The ginger tea was not made from fresh ginger it was just a teabag... All that for an horrendous price that did not meet in any way with the quality of the food. The Owners where hopefully not Indian, otherwise their ancestors would be ashamed.

Pros: Friendly service Cons: 1- Bread wasn't even close to Indian nan at all. 2- The rice wasn't even the way Indian makes rice and very oily. 3-I'm wondering why the food was served in broken pot? Overall below average Indian food.

I recently had the opportunity to dine at Taj Mahal in Bologna, and while the experience had its highlights, there were some notable aspects that left room for improvement. Let's start with the ambience. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was quite average. While it didn't necessarily stand out, it provided a comfortable and casual setting. About the service, the staffing seemed insufficient, with just one employee managing the front of the house. This led to delays and a lack of attention when it came to ordering. At times, the employee was missing, making it a challenge to place orders or inquire about the menu. The restaurant's location, though, was definitely a plus. Placed in a good spot and very near to the city centre. As for the food, I ordered the fish masala and bhindi masala. Unfortunately, both dishes fell short of expectations. The fish masala had an issue with excessive oil, which took away from the overall taste and texture of the dish. The bhindi masala, had a very basic taste that didn't quite live up to the complexity of flavors one would expect from Indian cuisine. The surplus oil in the bhindi masala was also a concern, giving the impression that it had been prepared without proper attention to quality. In conclusion, Taj Mahal in Bologna provides an average dining experience with aspects that could use improvement. The ambience and service are passable, but the lack of staffing leads to delays and missed opportunities for customer engagement.

Good food and nice staff. Halal Okay Portion size for 1 or may be enough for 2. Nice chicken wings, butter chicken and Tarka daal with Rice.

Delicious and plentyful food and friendly waiters, if you wanna eat more than one dish you should go for the all-you-can-eat option! And the Mango Lassy is amazing too.

I can compare with best nepal cuisine restaurant in whole Czech republic where I am regular customer for almost 20 years with no pause. Vege salad - even in the evening the vege were crunchy, delicious, nice spices used. Aloo paratha - not worth, not potatoes at all (aloo=potatoe) just plain flat bread in tandoor Rice - as in every indian restaurant, very nice, not bulky Murg masala - lamb pieces of ribs with small amount of sauce with a lot of butter -meat was nice, sauce non existent (cant feel vegetables from which it should be made at all) Dal panneer - hot (temp.) nice spices, not much of a cheese in, makes you full Chicken madras - not worth - blended with masala with coconut milk - this is not the way it should be done - sweet/sour/chilli taste should be there - non existent vegetables in the sauce, meat in the sauce was nicely cooked/soft In my opininon - salad with grilled meat should do it, no need to go allucaneaat.

Nice place. Very busy when we reached. But no alcohol served. Only non alcoholic bear. Could be more friendly. Maybe we are late and they are tired ?

One of the best Pakistani and Indian food restaurant in Bologna. I tried many dishes here and I found quality and taste 10/10. Service is also very good. If want to recall Desi food in Italy just visit once and you will gonna amaze by their food taste. Highly recommend

WOW !! Amazing food, service and prices. We had low expectations for an indian resto in Bologna however we were 100% wrong. This place took it back to grandma's cooking from way back home. Just the right size, quick service, well priced, clean clean clean tables, chairs and restrooms were the cleanest in all of Europe never mind an Indian resto. 10000% try this place if youre craving indian food

Worst Indian food in my life!! I would give 0 stars, if I could. The food is without any taste- the so called “Murg Curry” was just spicy- it was impossible to taste the smallest hint of curry or other ingredients. The rice was oily and the “Naan”-bread was seemingly just a cheap convenience pizza dough- if not I am sorry, but I could not identify it as real “Naan”. Furthermore the “ Ginger tea” wasn’t freshly made. Please just visit another restaurant- we made this mistake and truly regretted it. All in all it’s tasteless convenience food that is extremely pricey for the poor quality. very disappointing.😤

I visited this place once and had buffet meals . The buffet is a really wide spread of Indian dishes. I liked the chicken Tikka masala. It is 10 minutes walk from the main tourist attractions. I would definitely recommend this place.

Really authentic taste.. of course it’s a bit diluted down for European standards but still good quality and the kheer is amazing.
