We stayed overnight Friday-Saturday as a short "honeymoon", as we get married on Monday! We got a king bed with balcony, and we upgraded to the celebration package, which got us a bottle of wine (I chose white, but red was available as well), a later checkout time, and a box of chocolates! The room was nice, came with a kitchenette, and was SPOTLESS. However, there were about 4 spiders in our room! We went to go out to the balcony, and the door was hard to open. I am disabled, but even my fiance, who isn't disabled, had a difficult time trying to open the door. We found that there was some sort of crack in where the door seals (likely how the spiders were getting in). The pool was also closed for maintenance, which we didn't find out until arrival. I do want to note also that when I talked to the front desk about our spider situation, all I got from the front desk was "that's what comes with being by the water". I'm obviously not expecting a whole refund or anything, it was just an odd response. Also (I know this is trivial) the WiFi signal wasn't the best. My phone barely connected. However, the rest of our service was SPECTACULAR. Especially the breakfast staff. The food was INCREDIBLE, especially the potatoes and the biscuits and gravy! The coffee was hot, there were lots of options for food, and the staff was so kind. All in all, if I were to stay again, I would definitely not waste money on a balcony, I'd call in advance to make sure the pool was open, and I may even bring a WiFi extender...

Its a cute hotel but when we arrived for a July 4th holiday they said the pool was under maintenance. The next day we asked if the bar would be open and the front desk clerk said there was no bartender or pool person which was why they were both closed. So which is it, is the pool under maintenance or do you not have anyone to take care of it? The breakfast the next morning was ok but there was sour milk in the fridge that my son drank accidentally. The breakfast attendant was rude and on her phone the whole time eating her own breakfast instead of working. Its a cute hotel just sounds like there is some service breakdowns at this time.

We were looking for a hotel that had an exceptional pool, hot tub, breakfast, room and great price. We got this and so much more! Since a pic is "worth a thousand words", we took many to further show how awesome our stay really was. The "much more" was enjoying the bar inside. They had a wide selection and the wonderful bartender was able to make the perfect chocolate martini. There's also a lake behind the property to enjoy for a nice walk while being close to wildlife. A restaurant is also located next door. We also felt like we were safe. The room was clean, spacious and the breakfast was delicious along having a large variety to choose from. We can't wait to go back!

This is a beautiful hotel. The room we were given was not the room that was reserved. However, Nathan, called and made it right. The room worked for all my kids & I for 1 night. The bar is cute. Decent food in convenient location. The continental breakfast has good selection, food was hot & full even towards end of service time. The staff was EXTREMELY HELPFUL to a mom traveling alone with kids and all my silly questions from not being able to find switches to not understanding the pullout in the middle of the night. Thank you. ❀️

Upon reading the great reviews on this hotel. I booked and upon arrival I knew that was a mistake. This place is very old and dated. The place was so dusty and dingy, the smell in the hallways reeked. I was scare to touch anything in this establishment. We got to the room it was awful, the smell along made me want to sleep in the car. So we decided to make the best of our weekend. Until I woke up to a BED BUG crawling in the bed. I took pictures, killed it and took the BED BUG to the front desk. The young lady on duty was very professional. She was understanding about we would like our money refunded. I wouldn't recommend this place at all!!

Great place! Rooms clean. Spacious. Plenty of towels. Pool was nice. Did not really get to experience the hot tub much due to an entire family being in it even though it says no kids under 14. Was full of kids most of the evening. But overall a great place. Bar is cozy and Frances is wonderful and will make you any drink you ask. Breakfast good as well. Will come again.

Was able to stay here for a few days and was impressed with how unique it is compared to other hotels. This hotel definitely has its own personality. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The property was well maintained and it looked like a section of rooms was also being renovated to keep it looking nice. The pool area is large and the pool itself also has an outdoor section. I had to use the laundry facilities during my stay and was pleased to see the washer and dryer were clean and working properly.

Unfortunately we were not able to enjoy our stay. Such a bummer. We stayed for 3 nights and all 3 days the pool was unavailable for several hours due to chemical imbalance. It would be fixed one minute and not the next. Our door handle was broken so we had to move it just right for the key to work, we were locked out a couple of times. We specifically chose this hotel for the pool and hot tub for our 2 little kids. Not only was the pool closed a lot, the hot tub has been closed for months and there is NO mention of it anywhere online. I will say the room was clean and the staff were very friendly! Although we did have 2 different housekeepers randomly open our door without knocking because they thought we checked out. The hotel is beautiful with much to explore. It was quiet 2 out of the 3 nights. Breakfast was yummy. But all in all I don't know if we'll be back.

I rarely leave reviews but this stay was awful. We booked this venue because the wedding we were attending had many guests staying here. We expected a rustic atmosphere based on the name. The facility and room was very dated. Pool was closed for renovations. The doors to our room were warped to the point of having to make multiple attempts and pushing hard to just get the room door to open. This was not shared prior to arrival. They charged a $50 late check out fee when I have proof including a receipt showing we were at another business prior to their 11am check out. By far the worst hotel experience we have had in years, Update: After multiple calls and leaving this review I received a call back providing an apology and a refund for our stay.

Overall a really nice place to stop for a night or two. Room was clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Only negative was the faucet in our shower felt loose and the temperature changed a couple of times. Breakfast and appetizer in the bar were fine. The staff really set this hotel apart from others.

Its feels like home . The staff is awesome. Bar is fun. Breakfast is the bomb lots to choose . As long as ur respectful with certain permissions I always ask Like last summer we were allowed to play our Bluetooth speaker at the pool and enjoy some tunes Lil things like that is what makes the whole experience make u feel at home and not Just at a hotel for the night. as well as the warm and cozy feeling from the decor. All around awesome atmosphere. And the grandkids love it here rooms are great and roomy .love the balcony great for smokers ,tho careful if ur air or heating unit on or door open as ur smoke will smoke up the room. I can't say enough good stuff about this hotel. My room was huge! And very clean. The bed was comfortable, and I even had my own balcony! The breakfast was nice and hot, plenty of choices and Sue was a very kind. I will definitely be staying here again.

We've been here for several birthday parties and this time it was a wedding . The place is nice the service isn't bad but If you don't like kids and you don't like busy places then you won't like this hotel. However it's a great place if you want a kid's birthday party

Place was recommended by my boyfriends family who live in the area.. Booked the king with balcony. Room was very damp and carpet was moist. Balcony was infested with spiders. Wifi didn't work at all. Tried going to the pool only to find out it had been closed down all year and they're waiting for permits to open back up(Nothing on their website says this). Called for a late check out and front desk lady was extremely rude and lied saying they had someone checking in after us. Little did she know my boyfriends family was in the room next door for another day and absolutely noone checked into that room after us. They had booked the suite with a fireplace that didn't work. The place is so damp that the wallpaper is falling off. This place is very run down and definitely not worth the price you pay. Ended up getting sick and having to go to the doctor after our stay here. I got so sick I had to take steroids for the asthma flare to go down. I wish I was able to post pictures along with this review. DONT BOOK HERE!!

I LOVED this place. I called and asked if they had rooms. The carefree and happy voice guided me to "follow my bliss". Francis was the most friendly person to ever check me in to a hotel. This hotel is lakeside and close to a casino. There is a bar inside the hotel. The decor is amazing. Clean sheets. Overall price and caring staff is a 5 for me. I have a yorkie and he was welcome at Stoney Creek. I saw many other dogs and happy families during my stay. I have to say it was THE best breakfast. Real eggs and perfectly seasoned potatos as well as pancakes you can see cooking. We will definitely be back. Thank you Stoney Creek Peoria. You are my official travel stop in Illionois.

Exactly what you would expect for a family hotel. Fun theme and accents all around. Rooms were a bit dated but clean. Pool area looked fun but I did not go in. I was able to bring my black lab with a $25 pet fee. Service was very helpful. Some kids running in hallway till around 11pm, but was expected with multiple birthday parties occurring. Lounge areas were nice. Hot breakfast was good - eggs, sausage, pancakes, potatos and the typical cold items.

Great location! East side of lake/river with great views of the city. Right next to very popular seafood restaurant. Breakfast provided and is very good. Small bar next to the office very cozy and inviting. Staff very responsive to questions and needs. Ample parking and a very large trailer lot within walking distance, adjacent to property. Large pool area and large functioning hot tub! On weekends this place can get pretty wild with all the youth...

This is a fantastic hotel with fantastic staff. Nathan took a very uncomfortable, major problem and turned it around. I must say that I’m very impressed with the staff here, their abilities to treat us like royalty. Nathan bent over backwards to make sure that our stay was pleasurable. I cannot say enough about how impressed I am with Nathan and his staff. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and it’s a shame the pool was being maintained because it looks gorgeous.

Staying here for the week. Husband has a disc golf tournament in the area. Nice place, clean rooms. Pool indoor and out plus a huge hot tub available! I would rate at 3.5 to 4 stars. I would reccomend staying here again.

Gorgeous place! Breakfast was delicious, rooms were clean and comfortable! Loved the pool and hot tub, however it is an indoor swim thru to outdoor so it did have leaves and bugs, but our kids didn't mind. The bar had great drinks!

There were some issues but after speaking with management I found out the issues are being addressed and taken care of. The room was clean, the staff was very nice, and the hotel has a cozy cabin ascetic. Should you have any issues let the manager know as he is very passionate about having a nice hotel and ensuring every guest has a great stay. We will be back.

This hotel was exactly what we wanted. The indoor/outdoor pool was fun and the hot tub was large. Wish they would have inforced the 10-11pm adult only time at the pool. The breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed using the automatic pancake maker. The price was also a highlight!

Great room, love the rustic outdoorsy features throughout the hotel. We got the room with the balcony, and it was very unique and quite the experience. About 500 feet from the Illinois River and Jonas Seafood restaurant right next door. Decent size parking lot. We Will be back again. Next time I want to check out their bar.

The outside and inside was very clean and quiet. The staff was super nice and helpful. We stayed 3 nights and never had a problem. Returned to our room fairly late a couple nights and it was very well lit making it feel safe. The room was one of the most comfortable rooms I have stayed in. Would very highly recommend this place to stay.

Stopped for a night on my way to Omaha for work. Wish I had a reason to stay longer. Cool unique feel in a great location. Francis at the front desk was super cool and had great energy. Sue F. was incredibly sweet and attentive during breakfast. Will definitely try to book on my way back through Illinois in a couple weeks.

So happy I found this hotel and read the reviews! The manager upon arriving, is super friendly and nice. The staff was friendly as well. It's cute, clean. Breakfast is served every morning at 7 am. B&G, sausage gravy, sausage, cubed potatoes and eggs. Another day was French toast and all the same as stated. And of course there is cereal, bagels, English muffins, yogurt ect...The only issue I had there was trying to get in the side doors of the building. Key cards wouldn't work. Sounds like a work in progress though. Overall, if your ever in the East Peoria area ...this is a nice stay:) even the people in the surrounding areas are just really super nice! Really nice town to visit!

Called in to make a reservation at the East Peoria, Illinois location. Talked to Whitney. She was excellent. Had great customer service. I had several questions and she was able to answer all them with a great attitude. She talked to the manager, Nate, and was able to get me a discounted room. I highly recommend calling in to make a reservation. Don't forget to ask for Whitney.

If you ever find yourself in the Peoria area and need someone to stay I highly recommend this place, nice, clean establishment, the best staff that has ever taking care of my family!! This place was all around an amazing place to stay!!! Nice, clean, and I can not say enough about the amazing staff!! Everyone here takes care of the customer in an amazing way!! But I have to say that Miss Jenny at the front desk was the best by far!!! Jenny should win an award for her customer service, everything about this beautiful young woman is outstanding!!!

I attended a wedding reception at Stony Creek in May of 2022. I was very much impressed with this facility for many reasons. The staff is accommodating. I am older and use a walker. I did not request a room that would accommodate my needs but was provided with a handicap accessible room very close to the main desk as well as the room being used for the reception. They even gathered my bag from my car and carried it to my room. The food for the reception was delicious and staff scurried to provide services. I was also impressed with the sleeping quarters. The room is spacious and it was so quiet that I felt as if I was the only guest. I would definitely recommend this inn.

Overall very nice stay. The pool area was surprisingly large, and while busy, wasn't too busy to swim. The free breakfast was pretty good. The hotel itself is very large with lots of little places to relax. Some of the decor and lighting make it feel a little dark and dated. However, overall it was nice.
