East Barnet Health Centre

Medical center

🫤 Not a great experience personally. Reception staff aren't the most attentive, on two separate occasions I've been conveniently "forgotten" about while sitting in the waiting area. There's a 2 week wait list to see a GP at the practice, and 10+ minute queues on phone. Sadly this is an issue across A... People often mention appointment, practice, time, patients, call, surgery, doctors,

Not a great experience personally. Reception staff aren't the most attentive, on two separate occasions I've been conveniently "forgotten" about while sitting in the waiting area. There's a 2 week wait list to see a GP at the practice, and 10+ minute queues on phone. Sadly this is an issue across A LOT of GP services throughout North London and switching is a hassle I can't afford to book take time off from work for.

Had telephoned to get repeat prescription on Tuesday, I was told that i have to call between 12 and 2PM. I telephoned on Tuesday, this time i was told to email use. I emailed them, couple of hours later i received text message to call my doctor. I called again, was told that they won't accept more calls. i DIDN'T HAVE A HEADACHE, NOW I HAVE IT.

Impossible to make an appointment, receptionist lack compassion, and care, it doesn't matter what time you call, there are no appointment available, to call for a referral letter to go private to see consultant, no chance, long gone the days where people care, I am very disappointed with this surgery it's a complete let down. I personally think staff need training as they are completely useless to the public, or this surgery should be shut down, I have moved to another surgery where all staff receptionist and GPS care. Doesn't deserve 1 star 100% poor service AVOID THIS SURGERY

My issue was not with appointments, rather with the unprofessional and clueless doctors at this practice. I was misdiagnosed several times, given medication that caused me side affects WORST than my problem. The doctors seem to google in-front of you, absolutely unprofessional. Always been brushed off, talking to them feels like you’re bothering them. I’ve been told to go dentist, opticians and to clean my ears for my problem without any scans checkup NOTHING. How can you diagnose with NO KNOWLEDGE. HORRIBLE AVOID. I’m so happy I left this GP.

Absolutely ridiculous GP can’t get an appointment, all appointments gone by 8:05am! Receptionists prove the stereotype to be true by being rude to patients! You are better off calling 111 or going to hospital ! Centre needs to change their appointment system asap how many patients conditions have to continue to get worse or die before something is done ?

They are not how they use to be. The quality to for patients is poor, it’s hard to get an appointment the lines are always on divert. You will get worse before you are seen. The receptionist have poor customer service. I’m disappointed because i really liked being a patient, now I have to look elsewhere because my health is important

Reception havnt got a clue how to deal with people......the doctors just use Google. This is why GPS in the future will be deleted...they are simply middle men just to send you to hospital. Literally no point of a GP.......Doctor Helbitz is the only helpful person iv seen there

I've been trying to see a GP for at least one week. It makes no difference what time I call whether AM, PM or e-consult I can never get an appointment. All I'm advised is to keep trying. Long gone are the days you could call and actually get to see a GP on the same day.

This GP service is just as bad as all the other GP services in the UK. Don't waste your time trying to book an appointment with them, they will tell you just tell you to go online to book an appointment where suprise suprise you will be offered a private appointment with the same doctor. This will cost you money of course. As with the rest of the GP practises in the UK they are using the NHS as a platform to sell their private services to the people in need.

There are two female doctors who work here who have outrageous attitudes. Very rude and condescending and have no interest in helping patients. I was going through a very difficult period and needed help but they were both dismissive and robotic in their responses. Their behaviour puts lives at risks and can trigger severe anxiety in patients like it did with me. I am already in talks about a formal investigation on both of these doctors and therefore this practice. The training is clearly non-existent and they need to be called up on it as it is a danger to the public.

I always get through on the phone. I'm always able to make an appointment. The receptionists are really helpful. The GPs have always listened and been kind and supportive. I have no complaints at all and think this is an excellent GP practice.

Used to be a good surgery but lately it seems that their entire operation is geared towards giving you the brush-off. The phone system and online service both mislead and send you down dead-ends, and when you finally get through to a receptionist they arrogantly give you the brush off with a dismissive attitude. I needed urgent help today and they couldn't have cared less. I am seriously thinking of switching practices because this just isn't good enough. *Update* Accessed the econsult system at 8am on the dot this morning. Got as far as "This is an adult consultation" and then got immediately kicked off and told to apply again at 8am tomorrow. In the end I had to walk down physically and practically beg for an appointment - the receptionist patronising and unsympathetic, simply saying "I've booked you in for a 10am face to face appointment, *which I shouldn't do*", like he's doing me a favour. It's ridiculous. After today I will definitely be going to another surgery. I BEGGED them for help and they brushed me off. *Update 2* After further incompetence from the surgery pharmacist and a condescending attitude from yet another of their receptionists this morning (01/12/2023), I am moving to a different practice. I am sick and tired of this place. Hopefully I'll get the help I need elsewhere and won't be treated like cattle or an idiot every time I need help! 🙄

This comment is for nurse Taslima, she brought me a good service experience, thank you very much to her. To be honest, I was a little disappointed to see the Google review of this GP at first. But the whole trip to the nine-valent vaccine appointment today went smoothly, and Nurse Taslima was very considerate of the feelings of non-native speakers, which touched me. Thanks again.❤️

I cannot speak highly enough about the EB health Centre team - the staff are really helpful, and I have never experienced issues getting an appointment when I've really needed one. Dr Helbitz in particular is a truly warm, approachable and brilliant GP and in view of all the criticism that GP surgeries get, I really wanted to highlight how lucky I feel to belong to this practise. Keep up the brilliant work guys and thank you for everything you do! Monica

I just want to to thank Linda on the desk for being an absolute star she has so much care for the patients and genuinely will go out of her way to sort things for you! A reall asset to the practice especially during stressful situations! Both Dr Peskin and Dr Hussein have gone out of their way on multiple occasions to make appointments available for me! They both have been very thorough, kind and compassionate with their approach! I feel incredibly lucky to have such amazing doctors! Who truly care for their patients!
